4 Months Later

In the months following Sakura's breakdown and Sasuke's apologies, the couple became much better at communicating with each other. Sasuke started taking more days off from work to spend with Sakura and Sanosuke, and Sakura no longer hid her feelings and bottled them up.

But she still did the majority of the housework, cooking, and taking care of all of Sanosuke's needs. When their eight month old cried, she was there in an instant, when he had a diaper blowout, she was there cleaning him up with no complaints.

And Sasuke couldn't help but feel guilty and grateful to her at the same time. There's no way Sasuke could do everything without Sakura, and he wanted to do something nice for her in return.

Sasuke had heard some of his coworkers talking about giving their wives a "day off" where they sent them off to go shopping, get their hair done, or whatever they found relaxing. And Sasuke had decided that would be a perfect way to try and repay Sakura for everything she does, even if it was small.

On Saturday Sasuke had the day off from work and woke up early before Sakura so she could sleep in some. He checked the baby monitor and saw that Sanosuke was awake, but keeping himself busy with the binky in his mouth. Sasuke smirked at his son's antics and went to the kitchen and heated up a bottle of milk that Sakura had pumped the day before.

He went to the nursery and was greeted by a wide eyed Sanosuke peering up at him, "Good morning little man, are you hungry?" Sasuke asked quietly, even though he already knew the answer. In response Sanosuke squealed and kicked his small legs in and out, so Sasuke picked him up and placed the tip of the bottle in his mouth. Sanosuke was spoiled with Sakura always being there to feed him, so he always pushed a bottle away until he realized what it was.

Once Sanosuke was steadily eating, Sasuke walked back to the bedroom he shared with his wife and sat down next to her against the headboard. Sakura's emerald eyes slowly fluttered open when she felt the bed dip, "Good morning boys" she said with a yawn.

Sasuke grunted back as his answer, and couldn't help but smile whenever he felt Sakura cuddle into his side. "How did you sleep?" Sasuke asked, as he placed Sanosuke over his shoulder and began burping him. "Really good, thank you for getting up with him" Sakura said, while sitting up and running her hand over their baby's back.

"Ah you're welcome, I was thinking today could be your day off" Sasuke told her, while handing Sanosuke to her, noticing how she wanted to hold him. "What do you mean day off? I can't just not do what needs to be done around here" Sakura said with a pout. "I'm not working today so I'll take care of everything, you just take time for yourself today" Sasuke insisted, knowing she needed a break.

"Well I guess I could do that, are you sure Sasuke-kun? Sakura asked, a little concerned about leaving the baby and Sasuke alone. "Ah I am, now I'll make breakfast and you take your time getting ready" Sasuke told her, while motioning for her to hand him Sanosuke since he knew it was time for a diaper change.

So Sakura handed him to Sasuke and then went to the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day. Sasuke went to the nursery and changed Sanosuke's diaper and then dressed him in a pair of knitted black pants and a gray sweater. He then went to the living room and placed Sanosuke in the makeshift play area Sakura had made, and placed some toys and plushies around him. With Sanosuke now taken care of, Sasuke went to the kitchen and started making them all breakfast.

About an hour later, Sakura came into the kitchen dressed in a pair of black leggings, white sneakers, a loose white shirt that tied at the bottom, and a denim jean jacket to keep her warm. She had her long pink hair in a side braid and had applied some light makeup to her face.

"You look beautiful" Sasuke said, while putting down two plates of food on the table for them both. "Thank you Sasuke-kun, it's been so long since I last dressed up" Sakura said with a slight blush. Sasuke hummed in response and placed a kiss on her head before getting Sanosuke and bringing him to the table.

Sakura insisted on holding Sanosuke and feeding him during breakfast, even though Sasuke reminded her that it was supposed to be her day off. The couple talked and discussed their plans for the day, while eating the pancakes, bacon, and eggs Sasuke had prepared.

By the end of breakfast, Sanosuke had fallen asleep in Sakura's lap, tired out after a morning of playing and eating. Sakura went to the nursery and laid him down with a kiss on his forehead, "I love you baby boy, I'll see you this afternoon" she told him warmly.

Sakura left the nursery and went to the doorway and started checking that she had everything she needed in her purse. She was interrupted whenever she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her waist from behind, "I know this was my idea, but I can't help but be worried about all the men who are going to see you looking this good without me there" he murmured into her hair.

"Don't be silly, you know I don't see anyone but you" Sakura said sweetly, while turning around in his arms and meeting his onyx eyes. Sasuke leaned down and connected their lips together, he felt Sakura sigh in contentment as he deepened the kiss.

They broke apart after a few moments and Sasuke rested his forehead against hers before speaking, "Be careful while you're out, and call me if you need anything" he asked of her. "I will Anata and you do the same, if anything comes up with Sanosuke. I'll be back before it gets dark" Sakura promised, while kissing him once more and then heading out the door.

Sakura's first stop was a coffee shop to get a large vanilla iced latte that she would drink throughout the day. Now that she had her coffee, Sakura drove to the closest mall and went to all of her favorite clothing stores and picked out a few things for herself. And even though it was supposed to be her day, she couldn't help but get a few shirts for Sasuke and some new onesies for Sanosuke.

When she was done at the mall, Sakura went to a bookstore that she had been waiting to go to since she and Sasuke moved to the area. The place was huge and Sakura spent two hours just walking through all the different sections and looking at all the books. By the time she came out, she had gotten a couple of novels for herself and a few children's books for Sanosuke.

Next she went to get some lunch, which consisted of sushi and miso soup. She enjoyed her meal, but found it strange to be eating without Sanosuke in her lap or Sasuke there next to her. And she couldn't help but wonder how it was going at home with the boys.

Meanwhile at home..

Sasuke thought it would be no problem taking care of the apartment and Sanosuke, but he was sorely mistaken. When Sanosuke woke up from his nap he was fussy and refused to take a bottle, likely wanting the milk straight from his mama. So Sasuke spent all his time trying to get Sanosuke to eat until his next nap, and when his son finally fell asleep again it was time for housework.

So Sasuke began doing the laundry, vacuuming, loading the dishwasher, dusting, and making their bed. By the time he was done, Sasuke unceremoniously plopped down onto the couch but as soon as he did Sanosuke started whining. "No wonder she's always so tired" he thought to himself, as he got up and walked to the nursery.

Sasuke decided getting out of the house for a while would be good for the both of them, and they were running low on groceries anyway. So Sasuke grabbed the diaper bag and the baby carrier, and then got Sanosuke and went down to the car. He buckled Sanosuke into his car seat and was relieved whenever he didn't cry and only smiled up at him.

When they arrived at the grocery store Sasuke strapped the baby carrier to his chest and then placed Sanosuke inside. The store wasn't busy and that made it easy to quickly get everything they needed.

On his way to the register, a large display of flowers caught his eye, "I should get her some" Sasuke thought, as he began to try and find the right arrangement for her. After going through all of them Sasuke decided on a vase of pink roses, "Do you think Mama will like these?" he quietly asked Sanosuke. The baby boy flailed his arms in response to his Papa's question, Sasuke smiled and kissed the top of his head and then walked them to the register to purchase all their groceries.

Once they were home, Sasuke unpacked all the groceries and then made a small lunch for him and Sanosuke. When they were done eating Sasuke changed Sanosuke's diaper and then laid him down for his third nap of the day.

While his son napped, Sasuke did some more housework and resisted the urge to text Sakura and check on her. She never got any alone time and he didn't want to take that away from her today.

The sun was beginning to set whenever Sakura arrived home with countless shopping bags in her hands. "Sasuke-kun I'm home" she called out in a sing-song voice. "Welcome home" Sasuke said back, as he walked into the living room with a cranky Sanosuke.

Sakura sensed her baby's bad mood and couldn't help but feel like her being gone all day contributed to him being upset. "What's wrong honey? Did you give Papa a hard time today?" Sakura cooed, as she dropped the bags and took Sanosuke from her husband and placed kisses all over his chubby cheeks.

"He wasn't upset all day, but he did keep refusing to take a bottle after you left" Sasuke informed her, while placing a quick kiss to her forehead. "I'll feed him then and then I want to show you everything I got!" Sakura said happily, as she walked to the nursery.

"Silly woman" Sasuke thought to himself, glad she was back home.

About twenty minutes later Sakura came back to the living room with Sanosuke, and found her husband sitting on the couch with his eyes closed. "He's all good now, are you ready to see everything Sasuke-kun?" Sakura asked expectantly, while placing Sanosuke in his lap. "Ah I am, tell me how it all went too" Sasuke requested with a small smile.

So Sakura began showing Sasuke all the clothes she bought for them all, and then the books, and lastly the manicure she decided to get before coming home. "I like everything you got, thank you for thinking of us even though it was your day off" Sasuke said genuinely, while tugging her to sit down next to him.

"How could I not? You two are my most important people, I couldn't help but think of you while I was out" Sakura revealed, as she wrapped her arm around his waist. "In that case maybe we all can go out together next time" Sasuke pondered aloud, while pulling her closer to him.

"Really Sasuke-kun? That would be so fun! We could go to the zoo or the aquarium, and Sanosuke could see all the animals" Sakura said excitedly, thinking about all the things they could do as a family. "We can do whatever you want us to" Sasuke said simply, knowing she would think of something good for them to do.

They were quiet for a few moments until Sasuke spoke, "I already knew how much you do for us, but I have a greater appreciation for it all now" Sasuke told her, as he remembered everything he did today. "Thank you Sasuke-kun, it's all worth it even though it is difficult some days" Sakura confessed, as she ran her hand through Sanosuke's raven hair.

"Well if you ever need another day like today, just tell me and we'll make it happen" Sasuke assured her, before he realized he was forgetting something. "I have something for you, stay here while I get it" he asked her, as he gave Sanosuke to her and went to the kitchen.

He came back in with the vase of pink roses and placed them on the coffee table in front of her, "These are so pretty, thank you Sasuke-kun!" Sakura said joyfully, as she leaned forward and smelled the roses that so closely resembled the color of her hair.

"Ah it's the least I can do" Sasuke said softly, as he admired her smiling face.
