Constant bickering- part 3
Fanny asked for a oneshot of a third and final instalment to Ch2163 "Constant bickering- part 2" where Snow does end up calling Charming.
When Emma and Neal heard the front door open, all hopes they had of their mother bluffing faded into the distance. Both showed equal amounts of fear. Their mom might be scary when she was angry, but when their dad got called back from the station, they knew things were about to get really ugly. Snow had made her children sit on the couch when she saw the cruiser arriving. Now that they realised this was real, she raised an eyebrow at them both. Did they really think she would bluff?
Charming came into the living room, stony faced. Emma and Neal gulped. The first thing Charming did was check his watch.
"It is not even midday." He said quietly. Too quietly. "Your mom has told me she is at her wit's end with you both because you cannot seem to keep out each other's road and stop pestering each other and, in doing so, pestering your mother." Emma and Neal looked down guiltily. It was amazing how their age gap wasn't so apparent when Emma knew she was in trouble. "Look at me." He ordered them both. They did as they were told. "I expect better. From both of you. I don't know why you've decided to bicker so much today but it ends now. Do you hear me?"
"Yes dad." Both responded. "Neal, you're grounded for a week. Emma, desk duty for a week. If your mother has to call me again, so help me, you'll be wishing that was all you were getting. You both know I hate getting all strict dad, but it's not fair on your mom the pair of you acting up like this. It's not going to happen again though. Is it, Emma Ruth. Is it, Neal Leopold?" Emma and Neal shook their heads vigorously. "Good." Charming kissed Snow before leaving the room, leaving Emma and Neal sitting quietly on the couch.
"I warned you." Snow sighed. "Maybe next time you'll listen." Emma and Neal just nodded glumly. They wished they had listened this time.
