Taking cookies

Alex asked for a oneshot of Neal convincing Emma to help them sneak cookies into their room with her magic when Snow won't give them any before lunch. Snow finds out. She thinks they're adorable together, and it melts her heart but she has to discipline them.

Sickamore: A reminder that I need the chapter name AND number when you request a sequel, as that's what other readers ask me to provide so they can go back and re-read the original chapter :). Also, you only need to ask once ^^.

"Shh, stop giggling!" Emma whispered frantically to her little brother. He just couldn't help himself. It was so exciting! Emma's magic had only just gotten strong enough for her to move objects from one room to where she was. She couldn't do anything from outside the palace though, and she had to know exactly where it was. "You're gonna get us caught." Little did the two children know they had been caught before they even got their cookies. Snow had heard them plotting a way to get the banned snacks before they got their lunch (as their mother had already told them there would be no cookies before then). She couldn't help but stand at the door and listen in. Emma and Neal didn't always get along so well, so it was nice to see them when they were thick as thieves.

"Sorry." Neal said, trying to stifle his giggles. "I can't help it. I've never seen you do something this cool before." Emma grinned at her little brother.

"It is pretty cool, isn't it?" She agreed with him. She then went back to concentrating hard. It still took a lot for her to use her magic. After a few seconds of intense concentration, a plate of cookies appeared in front of the two little royals. Neal whooped before high-fiving his sister.

"Best sister ever!" He announced, grabbing a cookie. But before he could stuff it into his mouth, Snow made her presence known.

"I see you weren't prepared to wait until after lunch." She said, giving them her mom stare. Emma and Neal dropped their cookies, trying to look as adorable as possible. Snow had to shake herself. They couldn't get away with this just because they were the cutest children she had ever seen. "One, I told you no cookies just now. Two, Emma, you are well aware that you shouldn't be using your magic unsupervised, especially for something this big. Now I'm afraid there will be no cookies after lunch either." Snow said, picking up the plate and doing her best to not look at her children's sad little pouts. "No, you made your decision, now you face the consequences." She told them. She walked out with the plate, feeling incredibly mean. She knew she sometimes had to be stern with them, but it could be very difficult when they were just so darn cute.
