Bringing her home- part 2
Sickamore asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2200 "Bringing her home" where Charming runs into the older Snow and gives her the same excuse he gave Emma. The old Snow tries to hit on him and get him into bed. The old Charming walks in, leading to an awkward situation. The reason they didn't show up is because guest reviews have to be given the ok by the author before they're properly published.
Vanessa: That has been too closely covered.
It was strange being back in the old palace. Charming hadn't seen it in years. Hadn't seen it since the Evil Queen's curse had torn them from this land. This world though, had never experienced that. This was the world where the happy endings lived on.
Charming and Killian were grabbing every opportunity they had to speak with Emma, to try and get her to remember, but it wasn't easy. Particularly for Charming, he had to make sure he wasn't spotted. Fortunately, having lived here, Charming knew all the rooms that were hardly ever used. So he and Killian were bunking out in one such room, sneaking off at odd hours to steal food from the kitchen. They didn't know how much time they had to return home, and with every passing day they became more and more desperate. So desperate, that Charming eventually took matters into his own hands. He knew that, in his world, at least, in Snow's bedside drawer there were lots of tiny magical potions. Just enough for her and Charming (and now presumably Emma) for emergencies. He had been reluctant to use them, knowing he might get caught, but there was no choice now. He had to get the little vial of memory restoration potion.
Charming chose mid-morning to sneak into the bedroom. That was after the servants had cleaned and whilst he and Snow were normally busy. It would be his only shot at getting the potion undisturbed. So off Charming went, his heart hammering in his chest.
He made it to the bedroom without getting caught. The first part of the mission was complete. He was then relieved to find that the vials were still there in Snow's bedside drawer. He found the one labelled as memory revival and placed it in his pocket. He could finally go home…but as he opened the door, he was greeted by the older Snow. Charming gasped. Snow looked at him, confused.
"Charming…what happened to you? You look so young!"
"Aging potion." Charming lied once more. "Doc asked me to drink one so he could test the properties." Snow looked outright concerned now.
"Charming…Doc passed away four years ago." Charming panicked.
"And I feel ashamed that I never got around to it before his death. So ashamed that I couldn't do it until now. It should wear off in a few hours. If you'll excuse me…" Snow placed her hand on his chest, pushing him back into the bedroom. Charming wanted to grimace. Not now! Snow only looked at him like that when she wanted one thing.
"Well if I only have a few hours of you in your prime, I plan to take full advantage." She said, walking slowly towards him. Charming stepped backwards.
"Oh I don't know, Snow. We don't know what the ramifications might be…"
"Pretty strong, I'm hoping." Snow teased him, lowering her hand to his belt. Charming was thinking of a way to get out of this, when the door opened once more.
"Snow, Jiminy said you'd come up here…what the Hell is going on?!" Charming wished he could sink into the floor. This could not get any worse. His older self had joined the room. Snow leapt back from Charming, allowing his older self to get a proper look.
"He said he was you!" Snow insisted. "That Doc had given him an aging potion before he'd died…"
"I believe you." The older Charming said. Of course he did. Why would Snow ever cheat on him? He drew his sword and held it to Charming's throat.
"Who are you really and why are you here with my wife?" He snarled. Charming held his hands up in defence.
"I'll tell you everything, I promise." He told them. "You can even have me drink the truth potion I know you have in there. It's a complicated story, but I need you to trust me"…
When Charming had finished explaining the ins and outs of the situations, his older self and Snow were flabbergasted.
"So you want our daughter to drink that so she can be restored to a world where she was miserable?" The older Charming asked. "If you're her father, why wouldn't you want her to remain here, where she is happy?" Charming sighed.
"It's not as simple as that." He told them. "The world I'm from, the boy you knighted a few days ago? He's not just a knight, he's Emma's son." The older Snow and Charming looked very confused.
"Emma's not old enough to have a son his age." Snow told him.
"Tell me about it." Charming grumbled. "But no matter the situation surrounding his birth, he's still Emma's son, my grandson. I can't have that wiped from existence. Not to mention my son. After Emma broke the curse, my Snow and I had a second child. Neal. If I don't bring Emma back, he'll never exist either. If it was just Emma to take into consideration, of course I'd be happy for her to be here, for me to be you, but it isn't. She'd never forgive me if I let her son and brother fade away. Besides, she isn't miserable in my world. Not anymore. She has a happy life with us in it now. A man who I believe will marry her one day…"
"Excuse me?!" The older Charming spluttered. "You let her get betrothed?!" The older Snow rolled her eyes, making Charming smile.
"She isn't betrothed yet, but I think she will be soon, I didn't get much say in the matter. I was like you at first, Emma's my princess, not anybody else's. But he makes her happy and that's all I can ask for. He knows I can wield a sword if he ever hurts her." The older Charming nodded dangerously at this. "Please," Charming begged "For Emma, for the son you should have. Get her to drink this." This was not an easy decision for the older Snow and Charming to make. He was asking them to wipe away their whole lives…but they knew he was right.
"We will." The older Snow promised him. "For your- our- son and grandson." Charming smiled, giving her the vial.
"Thank you." He said sincerely. He couldn't believe it. He was going to go home. He was getting his girl back.
