Author Notes - I really like writing supplementary material, as I found out. It's oddly fun just writing about things that may not even show up in the story itself.

And Chambrea is why I'm releasing these one at a time. If I wrote one of these for Chambrea before I got to actually writing her, it would've aged very poorly. You know how sometimes in the writing process things can suddenly go NOT to plan in the slightest?

'What a hero... can't even clean up after himself!'

'How DARE you?! I found this briefcase first, so now it's MINE!'

'I have to clean this entire hotel, top to bottom, and for what? Let me have SOMETHING!'

'Why did you take that from me? Ms Gravely gives me nothing. It was all I had!'

'I hate you, Green Boy! If I ever get out of your dusty vacuum, I swear, I'll-!'

'What, and if we band together and sing a song about how friendship is magic or whatever, we'll magically break out?'

BIO

Chambrea Domestique takes most guests by surprise when they think that a maid would never fight back. Little do they know that she, of all ghosts, is the most aggressive of all the workers in the hotel. When she's not starting fights or whacking people with golf clubs, she's instead stealing their stuff typically by eating it. Her aggression was there back when she was still alive, but it only hit the peak it did when she was hired for the Last Resort.

As a mortal, she hated it when homes were dusty and disorganised. The slightest speck of dust annoyed her greatly, and only cleaning it up would sooth her. This even happened when visiting friends' places, and she usually left their homes neat and tidy. Eventually, one friend pointed out that she could get paid for it. She got hired often, just based on how dedicated she had to be in order to be remotely satisfied. Her cleaning jobs only got more and more big as the years went on, but her pay never seemed to be good enough for it. After a while, she got so fed up with never getting paid that she began to steal things from her clients.

The things she stole were typically small, the kind of thing that you'd only notice was gone long after it was stolen. This was until she took a diamond ring by swallowing it; she was found out pretty quickly. The ring managed to pass, and getting it back was rather painful, but Chambrea's clients allowed her to keep it. For obvious reasons.

She died at age fifty-four, due to inhaling far too much asbestos in the old buildings she cleaned and falling ill with mesothelioma. To add insult to injury, she was rushed to the hospital during a job that she was never paid for.

Hellen Gravely isn't exactly known for paying her workers well, but Chambrea is the ultimate example as she receives no pay whatsoever. Hellen justifies this under the logic of 'you enjoy the job, so you do not need money', something Chambrea disagrees with on just about every level. While she does clean to please herself, having to clean the entire hotel – from the basement all the way to the master suite – by herself is no one's definition of fun.

Her kleptomania and aggression only grew worse as her job went on. Any guest at the hotel will find their belongings mysteriously gone, unaware that they are now in the belly of a maid. Rumour has it that she has a supply closet filled with nothing but things that she has stolen. If you go near this closest, you'll get maimed.

EXTRA NOTES

-That closet of hers is absolutely real. Don't get near it or she will mangle you.

-She is the only one not scared of Soulfflé's quick temper. The two enjoy ranting to each other about their poor treatment from the boss. However, she still fears Amadeus when Gloria is hurt.

-Out of all of the ghosts in the hotel, she has been the closest to confronting Hellen and saying 'I quit'.

-She never gets pranked by the Twisted Sisters, as the trio knows what the consequences of that will be.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Original Title - The Neurotic Maid

Her entire nature was pretty much improvised on my part. She was meant to be just a neurotic maid who was actually okay with not getting paid. Then, right as I was writing the chapters in the RIP Suites, I realised her habit of stealing things and lack of pay could make for an interesting connection. Which required rewriting some dialogue.

The result was a rather old and feisty gal who demanded compensation, and would do whatever it took to have said compensation. I decided to exaggerate her aggression a bit, leading to her swearing revenge on Luigi even after the mind control wears off.

This is in COMPLETE contrast to the game where she spends the majority of the fight fleeing in terror.

Author Notes: To anyone wondering, these will be released semi-regularly (about every other day at worst) until I get to Clem (and his twin sister I decided to give him for the sake of upping the southern vibes), who is the boss I'm currently up to in my other story. Then at that point, this will update after each boss is defeated because you don't get to have spoilers.
