A world based on lies

A guest asked for a oneshot of a teen Emma in the EF discovering what her parents did to Lily to ensure her goodness. She runs away out of the shock of it all.

This couldn't be happening. I was meant to be the lightest light, the product of true love. Now I find out that it's all because my parents stole the goodness from a helpless baby? No, they weren't even a baby, they were still in their egg! I curled up on the branch of the tree I had decided to camp out on. When I overheard my parents discussing their guilt of the event fifteen years after it happened, I couldn't help but feel outraged. Of course I confronted them, but they had tried to justify what they had done. They had tried to defend themselves, say they were just doing what they had to in order to protect me. They had hoped I would never find out, that the burden was not mine to bear. Of course it was! It was my goodness that had turned this child evil. Well, presumably, not that I would ever run across them. They'd been transported to another realm. I wiped the tears away. I couldn't stay in that castle with them. Not tonight. I needed some space. I needed to not have to look them. How would I ever be able to look at them the same way again? No, I was heading for Aunt Ella and Uncle Thomas' castle. I'm sure by the time I arrived they would have word of me leaving, but I knew where Alex's room was. She would let me in without them knowing. I just couldn't believe they would do something like this. I felt like my whole world was a lie. If I couldn't trust my parents, who were meant to be the most righteous souls in all the realm, then who could I trust?
