The warrior princess

SWAN573 asked for a oneshot of *mid-season finale spoilers!* Emma finding a way home from the wish realm alone. When she gets home, the EQ is about to kill her family. Emma saves them, still in her princess getup. Charming gets emotional over his warrior princess.

Charming pressed his forehead against Snow's as he prepared to wake her up.

"I know you're going to be worried." He murmured. "But try not to. Emma's a smart girl. She'll get out of wherever the Evil Queen has stuck her. She did before when she was put in that mirror world. Just…promise you'll wake me once she's back. I need to see she's alright for myself." Charming knew Snow couldn't hear him, he'd wrote all this down and left a note for her with it all, but it felt good being able to say it. As he reached down to kiss her lips, an icy cold laugh froze him to the spot. He stopped, and turned. His blood began to boil. The Evil Queen had made her way into their home. Charming's eyes glanced towards Neal in his crib.

"Oh don't worry about him. He's quite alright. I was enjoying your little love sick scene. Finish it off before I kill you both. You're never going to see precious little Emma again, anyway." The Evil Queen said with a smirk. Charming growled as he grabbed the sword that could kill her. He charged at her, but she disappeared in a cloud of purples smoke and reappeared across the room.

"Too slow." She taunted him. "Just like you were too slow to save Emma. Just like you'll be too slow to stop Snow's death, or your own. Just like you'll be too slow to stop me taking your precious little boy…"

"Would you give it a rest." The Evil Queen and Charming looked to the side. The Evil Queen's face turned to thunder. Charming just couldn't believe his eyes. But there she was, it was Emma.

"How…"

"That's for me to know, and you never to find out." Emma explained. Charming knew this was Emma's shot. He put the sword on the ground and slid it over to her. Emma picked it up, and charged at the Evil Queen, but once again, she vanished. Only this time, she didn't come back somewhere in the apartment. When Charming was sure she was gone, he went over to Emma, who dropped the sword so her dad could hug her. He cupped the back of her head, holding her close. Then, he pulled back, wanting to get a good look at her. She'd definitely been in the Enchanted Forest. She was dressed…like a princess. Like the princess she should have been. Complete with a braid in her hair and a tiara resting on top of her head. Charming couldn't believe how proud he was of her. He couldn't believe this was his daughter.

"Look at you." He breathed. He smiled at her, "My warrior princess, huh?" Emma grinned at him.

"Well with you two as parents I was hardly going to waltz around picking flowers now, was I?" She teased…what he didn't know about the wish realm wouldn't hurt him.
