Hello again,

Its been a long time since I have written a story. Far too long. I have had an idea featuring Hinata and Hidan, and finally decided to put pen to paper and give it a shot. I hope you all enjoy it, I will try to update it as frequently as possible.

If you would like, please review the story =)

I hope that you all are keeping safe and well during these uncertain times.

Sending you all love and warm wishes,

Zukaarimeikatochi xxxx

Hinata was breathing heavily as she finished her run, sweat dripping down her body, soaking her shirt. She wiped her face on the sleeve as she made her way to her house. She turned her music off and pulled her headphones out as she walked into her room and grabbed her towel and walked into the shower. Hinata let the hot water cascade down her body, helping to soothe her tight and overworked muscles and washed her long dark hair, lathering it in her lavender shampoo and scrubbed her body with her tropical shower gel. Once washed, she turned off the shower and wrapped herself in a towel, as well as her hair. Back in her room, she made quick work with her hair, drying it and brushing it. She dressed in a pair of black jeans and a white shirt, finished off with a purple jumper and black boots. Grabbing her bag and making sure all her college books were present, she made her way to the kitchen. "Good morning father" she greeted her father who sat at the head of the table, reading a newspaper and sipping his tea, he nodded in response. She grabbed a quick bite to eat and an apple and left for college.

She put in her headphones and listened to her favourite songs, upbeat and happy. Music has always been what soothed her soul, calmed her and urged her on. When she listened to her music, she lost herself to the words, the melody. She walked the path that she knew by heart, each twist and turn. Hinata walked with her head in the clouds and music that she did not see the young man in front of her, as he stepped back, she stepped forward and face planted a strong, toned muscled back. She tumbled backwards and landed on her backside. She pulled out her headphones and began to apologise "I'm so sorry, I didn't see- but she was cut short from the person in front of her, "obviously you are sorry, what are you, blind as a bat? Jeez woman, watch where you go". The man stood tall, his silver-grey hair slicked back, and purple eyes that blazed with annoyance. He wore a tight shirt that showed his muscled abdomen and left nothing to the imagination, his jeans hung low on his narrow hips. He swore a couple of times and then walked off, leaving Hinata on her own on the floor. For a while Hinata sat there, not moving, just lost in embarrassment, however, she quickly got up, dusted herself and moved on, annoyed at herself and at the stranger "well maybe he shouldn't have just stood in the path doing nothing" she mumbled to herself. She stuffed her headphones into her pocket and carried on her way, refusing to let the rude man ruin her mood.

Once she arrived at the college, she made her way to her locker, depositing her bag and grabbing her science books and her pencil case, she closed the locker and placed her forehead on it, refusing to let the incident from earlier ruin her mood. She was not going to ever see that man again, so why let it bother her. She took a few deep breaths, calming herself. 'Who is he to make me feel like this?' she thought to herself. She shook her head and moved towards her class. Hinata made her way to the back of the class, sitting near the window, she was early as usual, and took the opportunity to listen to her music again and draw in her book. Losing herself to the motions. The song helped dictate what she drew, the quick piano making her draw a beautiful background, the quiet violin, creating a single person looking out of the window, the beautiful melody of the lady's voice, encouraging the soft features of the woman looking back. As one song blended into another, the picture evolved further, colour was added, making the picture go from plain to beautiful and serene. When she looked up the class had started to fill up, turning off her music and putting her headphones away, she tidied up her things and got ready for the lesson. As the teacher made his way in, he wrote instructions on the board, and asked the class to start the task. She started to read the textbook and make notes, when there was a sudden commotion at the front of the class, "Oi old man, I'm here now, can't say that I'm sorry to be late" a rude voice announced the presence, Hinata ignored it, busying herself in her studies, there was snickering around her, some of the girls giggling and some admiring the new bad boy in town. The teacher sighed deeply and called the class to attention, "go sit at the empty seat, here is the textbook and a notebook, follow the instructions on the board", the teacher lazily announced. Silence ensued, until there was a loud scraping of the chair next to Hinata being pulled, and a huff as the person sat down, "Oi do you have a pen I can use, I didn't bring one with me" the person demanded of Hinata, she stopped what she was doing and hoped against all hope that it was not the same person from earlier, 'Please let it be anyone, anyone but him' she thought to herself. When she turned to face the new occupant of the desk, she felt herself deflate, it was him. Though this time she could see him more clearly, he had high, sharp cheekbones, a strong jaw and closer, his purple eyes were intense, but unbelievably beautiful. His shoulders were wide, that led to strong and defined arms with bulging biceps. The black shirt had a logo of red clouds with white lining, the word 'Akatsuki' written in bold red. The name was familiar, but she could not place it. "You're the blind woman from this morning, didn't know you could see, so do you have a pen or not?" he asked again, Hinata automatically reached into her pencil case and grabbed a pen and passed it to him, she quickly turned her gaze away and tried to concentrate on her work, her heart beating fast and hard, she tried to level her breathing, she would not show this rude man that he affected her.

Hidan grabbed the pen from the woman next to him, the same one who walked into him when she was too busy daydreaming instead of watching where she was going, 'Just my fucking luck to be sat next to this woman' he thought to himself. He opened his book and started to read the pages, trying to make notes, but he could not concentrate. He did not want to be here, but what choice did he have, he needed to get a degree, to show that he had finally decided to take things seriously. At 22 he still had no clue what he wanted to do, he enjoyed doing whatever he wanted, but that did not help get a job, he could not go around forever messing with things that did not need to be messed with, he could not walk around picking fights just because he enjoyed them. He needed to do something productive, so here he was, In Konoha College, the best place to get a foot in the door as they say, 'Yeah we'll fucking see about that' he thought to himself. He would try to stick with this for a year, if it works, then great, if not, then he would find something else to do.

Sighing loudly, he turned to look at his table partner, she had beautiful flawless skin, that seemed to glow as if the moon shone through her. Her eyes, even though downcast, were a beautiful grey, almost white, nothing like he had seen. She had defined features, high cheekbones that looked like they could cut glass. Her lips might have been full, but he could not tell, not while she was nibbling on her bottom lip. She was dressed like a damn granny, her jumper was baggy and hid most of her features, and as far as he could see, jeans that seemed too baggy on her. He stretched his legs out and tried once again to take in what he was reading, something to do with different types of parasites that can live in the human body and the dangers they have on the body. He took a deep breath and stared at the celling, 'how the fuck am I meant to do this for a year?' he thought to himself. The lesson had dragged on, the longest hour of his life, when the bell finally rang, he grabbed his books and the pen and made to get out of his seat, "Urmm, can I have my pen back?" a soft timid voice spoke to his, he turned to face the woman, looking at her like this showed more of her features. Her lips were full and plump, her straight nose slightly scrunched up, and her eyebrows drawn together. She had a beautiful face, he smirked at her "How about no, if I don't have a pen, how am I meant to do any work today, I'm sure you can live without this pen, or is it so special to you that you can't go on without it?" he asked sarcastically, her jaw tensed and her nostrils flared as she let out an angry breath, it made him grin more, "fine, keep the pen" she answered, her tone no longer timid, there was a slight temper behind it. It made him laugh, "well, well, someone touched a nerve" he said as he got out of his seat and walked off to go to his next boring lesson.

Hinata was still sat at her table, she could not believe that she had to deal with that, that asshole twice within an hour, she bit back her anger, she would not let him annoy her, to get under her skin. 'It was just a pen', she told herself, 'I've got many more, it doesn't matter that I lost one'. She grabbed her things and walked to her locker, putting away her science book she grabbed her art supplies. At least she could enjoy herself in art class. As she walked to the studio she met up with Sakura and Tenten, they were busy talking about the new student who had become the talk between all the girls, "I heard that he was kicked out of his previous college for getting into many fights" Tenten told the girls, 'why am I not surprised by that?' Hinata thought to herself. The girls walked into the studio and sat behind their easels, they continued with their work, Hinata plugged her headphones into her phone and listened to her music, letting it calm her, to inspire her. She did not want to think about the rude man, did not want to think about his purple eyes that captured her. Though that was all she kept seeing before her, purple eyes and a smirk. She shook her head to clear the image and concentrated on her painting. The painting was of a scenery painted in different seasons, the same picture, just with different features. She was currently working on the spring season, painting the cherry blossoms onto the tree, some blowing with the imaginary breeze, some floating down to the still waters of the pond. She let the music take over and she entered a trance.

She jumped when she felt someone tapping her shoulder, she pulled out her headphones and looked to find Sakura stood next to her, "lessons over, we've got a free period now, what do you want to do?" Hinata tidied up her station, wiped her hands on the towel next to her, "I was going to go to the library and catch up on some work" Hinata answered with a smile, Sakura nodded and waited while Hinata got ready. They walked out together silently, Hinata enjoyed being with Sakura, she was happy to be silent, enjoying it just as much. When they reached the library, they parted ways. Hinata made her way to the back corner, she got her books out and worked on the paper that was due in history, she needed to make some changes here and there.

The rest of the day passed by with no more run ins with the annoying new guy, though she heard everything about him from different girls even some guys. Some said that he used to be part of a gang, others that he is on the run from another place. Each rumour getting worse than the one before. With lessons finally finished, she said her goodbyes and walked home. She was still annoyed with her run in with that brute, she decided that some exercise would make her feel better. She placed her belongings on her table and got changed into her workout wear. She did her usual run and decided to push herself a little more. She run further into the, woods, finding herself by a river. She stopped and stretched enjoying the view of the calm river. 'I need to be as calm as this river' she willed herself. She sat by the riverbank, letting the noises around calm her. After a few more minutes she started to make her way back, this time forgoing her music. Once home, she showered and started the preparation for dinner with her younger sister, they worked in comfortable silence. Dinner consisted of fried fish, miso soup and rice. The family ate together, and once dinner was over, the kitchen cleaned, Hinata went back to her room, turned on her music and continued her sketch from this morning, without realising it, she had given one of the characters in her sketch purple eyes and silver hair, a smirk that spoke of sin and mischief. When she realised what she had done, she felt herself blush 'Why on earth would I draw him?' she questioned herself irritably, she threw the sketch onto the table and decided to call it a day. She refused to let herself think about him, he was no one, just some annoying person.
