Using her emotions

A guest asked for a oneshot of Snowing catching Emma beating somebody up. Set in season 4.

Guest: Sorry, but I've already covered Emma's parents taking over raising Henry.

Guest (and I'm pretty positive you're just one person) I get it, you didn't like the jealousy chapter. I shall try and not cry myself to sleep over it. What I suggest you do is build a pretty little bridge, wave tata and move on with your life. It's fanfiction, it worries me you're that upset over it lol. If you really want to have at me feel free to be brave enough to log in and PM me, toodles for now :).

Snow and Charming both knew how tense having Ingrid around made their daughter. They had all hoped that Emma finding out how the Snow Queen knew her might have put Emma more at ease, but it didn't. Knowing how desperate she had been even back then for Emma to be part of her family and the fact she was still after her just made Emma even more stressed. Snow and Charming weren't exactly happy with the situation either. Would any parent be if a deranged lunatic was trying to kidnap their child? It didn't help either Snow or Charming's nerves that, any chance she got, Ingrid was trying to break the ties between Emma and her parents. The best way to move forward was to find out whatever Ingrid was planning for Elsa and Emma before she could carry it out so they could stop her. While Snow and Charming were helping Emma with some research they were doing on Ingrid's family, they saw her. Emma froze, causing Snow and Charming to bump into her from behind. At first they thought it was the Snow Queen herself that was causing Emma to clearly become filled with rage, but then they saw her eyes were focused in on a stranger sitting beside the Snow Queen on the park bench, having a cosy little chat.

"What is she doing here?" Emma hissed. Ingrid looked up sweetly at Emma, smiling in the way that made the hair on the backs of Snow and Charming's necks stand up. The woman too looked up to see who was so angry. She seemed quite embarrassed to see Emma.

"I invited Angela to Storybrooke for the day to have a catch up. I like to know how everyone from my little family is getting on now." Ingrid answered her. Emma knew this was a trap, but she couldn't help herself but fall right into it.

"You know she made my life Hell when she was staying with us." Emma growled. Angela went pink.

"We were just kids Emma." She mumbled. "Don't you think you're overreacting a little? I mean, we all had issues to deal with…"

"Overreacting?!" Emma yelled. Snow and Charming tried to step in, to get Emma to calm down, but it was too late. "You spent a month stealing all my food because you were a damn greedy bully! You told me that I was never going to find a family anyway so I might as well starve!" Snow and Charming couldn't believe a child who should have been able to empathise with their daughter could be so cruel. Then, she had the cheek to actually smile.

"Come on Emma, it's not like I was wrong about you finding a family. None of us ever did." At that, Emma completely saw red. She ran full pelt at this Angela lady and pulled her off the bench and onto the ground. She got a good few punches in before Charming was able to pull her off. He had his hands securely around her waist as he pulled her back, despite her struggles.

"It's ok." Charming told her. "Emma, this isn't the right way to deal with this. Don't let Ingrid rile you." He told her, trying to calm her down. It seemed to have little effect.

When Emma was off Angela, Ingrid calmly got the woman up. With one wave of her hand, the woman's face was clear of any cuts or other damage Emma had just caused. Then with another, the woman vanished. She turned to Emma, and smiled.

"I see emotions don't just fade over time." She said coolly. "You hated Angela. It's been years. Surely you'd be over it by now."

"You don't just get over someone starving you." Emma growled. Ingrid kept on smiling.

"Just like you don't just get over your parents abandoning you. You might be acting like you've forgiven them both, Emma, but I know you. I know deep down inside, you know who your really family truly is…"

"Enough." Snow said frostily. Ingrid looked up at her. "You're going to stop tormenting my daughter, Ingrid. She's been through enough already." Snow warned her. Ingrid seemed unconcerned by Snow's warning.

"She's been through so much because you and your husband took the easy way out. Do what's right for Emma, Snow White. Let her come back to her real family…"

"We are her real family." Charming barked. He moved his hands up to Emma's shoulders, beginning to lead her away. "And we will not stand here and let you hurt her any more than you already have, exploiting her pain like this. You're not getting Emma, Ingrid. Face it. Come on, Snow." Charming said, beginning to lead Emma back home. She was in dire need of a nice hot coco now. Before Snow turned to join her family, she left Ingrid with one final cold stare. A stare that clearly said exactly what it needed to.
