Henry's Haircut

A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma cutting Henry's hair and Charming teases her, saying it won't turn out good. It turns out pretty good. He finds out it's from her cursed memories as it saved money. Charming asks if she'll cut his hair.

Happy Hogmanay, everyone! Have fun and stay safe :). Al the best for 2017, and hopefully it'll be filled with Charming family goodness.

Emma's eyes shot across the room as she once again heard her dad sniggering.

"Sorry." He said sheepishly. "Are you sure you wouldn't rather take him to the barbers? I don't want my grandson walking around bald with a massive fringe." Charming teased his daughter, like he had been doing all afternoon. Ever since he had heard that Emma was going to be cutting Emma's hair. Something he had never seen her do before. He had never seen her do anyone's hair before. Emma just rolled her eyes.

"I'm not Aunt Petunia and I'm not turning Henry into a pre-Hogwarts Harry Potter. Trust me, he'll be fine." Emma assured him.

"You know gramps, when we-" Henry stopped when his mom nudged him in the back. "Never mind." He finished. He understood. Clearly his mom wanted this to be a pleasant surprise. He settled for smiling knowingly. His grandpa was in for a surprise.

Emma ignored the remarks her dad continued to make as she worked on her son's hair. She knew he was just teasing. Only when she declared she was done did Charming take a proper look. Wow. That could easily have been a professional job.

"Ok kid. Now you can tell him." Emma told Henry.

"While we were living in New York, under our cursed memories, mom cut my hair to save a bit of cash. We have fake memories of a few disasters, but she was pretty awesome in real time." Henry explained, grinning. Charming nodded, impressed at Emma's work.

"Well, you learn something new every day. Good job, Emma." He praised her. "Think you could do mine in a week or so?" He asked her. Emma grinned at him.

"A one all round without touching the fringe? Only you seemed determined for Henry to get that style." Emma joked. Charming laughed.

"Yeah, I think I'll stick to my usual."
