More than good enough
A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma confronting Sir Morgan for how she spoke to Henry when she was the Dark One. She won't tolerate people talking down to her son. I'm going to mess with the timing just a tiny bit.
Emma may be heading for the Underworld, but that didn't mean she would leave unfinished business in Storybrooke. Emma knew there was a chance she wouldn't be coming back, so there were a few things she had to get sorted first. Like making it clear to Sir Morgan that Henry was more than good enough for Violet.
He wasn't exactly welcoming when Emma showed up at his doorstep. She understood. All he'd known her as was the Dark One who had manipulated his daughter. None of that, however, had been Henry's doing. He had been just as much a victim in all of this as his daughter had.
"You have five minutes before I expect Violet home." He told her coldly. "Say what you have to say, and then leave." Emma nodded briskly.
"I know how you treated Henry during our stay in Camelot." She responded just as coldly. "I know you made him feel like he wasn't worthy of your daughter because he is a writer rather than a knight. Tell me, do you actually know anything about Henry being the Author?" She asked him.
"What does it matter if he is an Author or not?" Sir Morgan scoffed. "He still cannot protect Violet with a pen. This town is just as dangerous as Camelot. Violet still needs someone who can look after her…"
"Ok, first of all, you're from this world. Don't be acting like a proper member of the Court in front of me." Emma snapped. "Secondly, Henry is more than an ordinary author. He is the Author. He had extraordinary powers and responsibilities. He is more than good enough for Violet. Stop giving him a hard time." Sir Morgan remained silent. "I've said all I came to say. I hope you'll take a chance to actually get to know my son and see that he is a good kid, and deserving of your daughter." Emma stormed out of the house. She knew Henry would never hear about this conversation, but that was alright. Sir Morgan had heard everything, and hopefully, even if Emma didn't come back, she knew that was one less problem for her kid.
