Cheater

Sasha asked for a oneshot of Charming discovering Emma is being cheated on and telling her. Emma admits that she knows but hasn't said anything because she feels undeserving of him. If you are a major CS fan, you're gonna wanna skip this chapter.

Charming couldn't believe he was having to do this. He thought Killian had been the perfect man for Emma. He thought the reformed pirate loved her. Sure, Charming had his reservations about Hook at first, but he got over them when he saw how much Emma loved him. How Charming wished he could go back in time and stick to his guns. That slimy pirate was never good enough for Emma.

He hadn't expected to see Killian in the bar that night. He'd popped in after work to have a beer with the dwarves, but none of them had arrived yet. He saw Killian sitting at a table by himself. Charming was about to go over and invite him to come join them, when he seen a woman come over to Killian's table. Charming had assumed they were friends, or even that Killian was on the case of a villain, but all hope of that left his head when the woman pressed her lips against his daughter's boyfriend…and he didn't pull away. Of course, Charming confronted Killian straight away. Charming saw then what a snivelling coward the pirate was. He tried to make out like he was doing this for the good of his and Emma's relationship. That this other girl gave Killian things he needed that Emma couldn't. He claimed he still loved Emma, and that it would only hurt her if she found out. Of course Charming saw this for the load of nonsense that it was. He tried to demand that Killian tell Emma the truth, but he refused. He tried to turn it back on Charming, saying that Emma would just get hurt. Charming wasn't having that though. He wouldn't have Emma living a lie, even if it meant hurting her in the short term.

Charming noticed that whenever he arranged to meet up with Emma to talk about it, she cancelled saying that Killian had plans for them. Charming couldn't believe the lengths the rat was going to in order to stop Charming telling Emma the truth. In the end, Charming had to tell her at the end of their shift.

"Emma, we need to talk." Charming told her. Emma seemed confused as her dad got her sitting back down. He moved his chair over by hers and sat down as well. He sighed as he reached out and took her hand between his. "Sweetie…there is no easy way to tell you this. Killian…he's cheating on you." Charming looked up, expecting shock on Emma's face. What he found was certainly sadness, but not shock.

"I know." Emma said quietly. Charming was confused. Had Killian manned up and confessed? "I've known for months." Charming fought back a growl. He hadn't even had the decency to tell her. "It's not his fault, dad. I should have been more attentive. I've been trying, ever since I caught him, but no matter what I do, I'll never be good enough." Charming couldn't believe what he was hearing. Emma thought she wasn't good enough for Killian?"

"Emma Swan, you listen to me. You're way out of his league. You are my princess, and you are perfect." Charming told her.

"Nobody's perfect, dad." Emma sighed.

"Well you're damn well close then." Charming told her. "Him being a sleazeball is not your fault. He made his despicable decision, and you deserve way better. Don't let anyone treat you like this Em. Ever. Just think about someone doing this to Henry. Think about him saying he deserved it." Emma's face changed as Charming pointed this out. "See? He would deserve better, and so do you." Charming kissed Emma's forehead. "I won't have anyone disrespect you like that. It's your choice how you move forward from here, but I have said my piece. You're worth dozens of him." Emma sniffed. She wiped away her tears.

"Thanks dad." She sniffled. "I need to go and talk to Killian." Charming nodded, letting Emma go. He badly wanted to go with her, to beat that son of a bitch up for hurting his baby girl, but he restrained himself. Emma had to sort this out with Killian alone. But if she came back with tears in her eyes again, there would be nothing to prevent Charming from going right through Killian.
