Following Emma
A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma breaking the curse pretty young and, at aged 12, wanting to walk to school by herself. Snowing eventually relents, but Snow sneakily follows Emma in her car to make sure she gets there ok.
neongenesisevan: gap rule, and I've actually already wrote something very similar to that anyway, I'm afraid.
Guest: I think I'd basically be writing the actual episode if I tried that, haha.
Lana: Sorry, but I've already written a chapter with a conversation near identical to that.
Guest: Sorry, but I think I already covered everything I could in that chapter.
Charming had told me I was being crazy. That Storybrooke was a small town and that Emma already knew the route to school like the back of her hand. My opinion on the matter was: you could pack a whole load of villains into such a small town. So if Emma so desperately wanted to walk to school by herself, then we would let her. What harm would it do if I snuck along behind her in the car? She would never know I was there. I hadn't become known as the bandit princess for nothing.
It all seemed to be going well. Emma was sticking to her end of the deal and following the marked out route we had practiced with her. She met up with Alex at the end of her street, who was just as thrilled as Emma to be finally allowed to walk to school without an adult. She had been part of the deal. Emma wasn't allowed to walk fully alone, Alex had to be there too. Alex was under the same conditions as Emma. In fact, as I crept behind the girls, I noticed a car going incredibly slowly down Alex's street. I smirked. So Ella was just like me. I wondered if Thomas had told her off as well? He probably had. He and Charming were both right to do so, really. I knew I was being downright crazy, but I couldn't help it. I had come so close to losing Emma when she was a baby. It was only a stroke of luck that brought her back to us so early. I was never going to take a chance to lose her again.
