HEY GUYS...AGAIN BACK WITH ANOTHER COMPLETE DUO STORY WITH JUST A PINCH OF TRIO, AND ABHI-ACP MOMENTS...(this is not an OS but a long story...)
THIS ONE IS UPON THE REQUEST OF MY FAV. WRITER CHITRA DII..(CUTIE PARI..)...AND I REALLY HOPE IT ITS UPTO THE MARK...
NOW HAVE A HAPPY READING...
...
...
HE sat leaning to the window, staring out at the dangling rain drops...watching it pelt over the glass...and wondered what would be HIS life like be, if HE was a rain drop...probably HE would have fallen from the vast sky, maybe would hit a pavement, or a person, or a window, or anything really...and land somewhere or other without having any control over himself...
BUT then as said as always HIS crap brain reminded HIM of the cacophonous truth that, HIS life is as similar to that of the raindrop...without any controlling grip over HIS hands...and apparently the rain drops are more fortunate...
as they race down the window panes, taking twists and turns, and rapidly approach towards the end of their life...BUT...what about HIS own...which actually seems stretched over infinity, within this small span...
...
HE drew the blanket closer to his chins, and shivered...as the cold winds blew, singing songs to stir emotions, bringing sweet memories of the time gone, and reminding to adore the present...
THE room was warm but HIS soul was cold...it was ever since that dreadful day, that HIS soul had been like ice...with the realization, "HE was lost, confused, apathetic without the special person, who won't be coming back again...no...not this time..."
As a drop of tear was about to flow down HIS cold cheeks, a soothing voice hit HIS ears...
...
"ABHI...PLEASE YAAR..YAHAN MAT ROO...(naughtily...)HAMARE GHAR MEIN PANI KI KAMI BILKUL NAHI HAI ..."
...
HE wiped the dangling tear harshly...and yet again the truth hit HIM hard...as HE couldn't find the desired figure, owner of that soothing voice...AND took his phone out from the pant pockets...dialed a number 0398210294...with a desperate and anguished request..."ya..yaar dekh tu pl...please ca...call utha le...me..mere sath esa ma..mat kar..."
...
BUT a voice echoed from the other side..."The Number You Are Trying To Reach Is Not Answering...Please Call Again Later..."and yet again..."Aap jiss waqti ko call kar rahe hein...woh abhi uttar nahi de rahe haein...krupya kuch samay paschat call kare..."
Again re-dialed the number...with the same request..."yaar ple..please na..tu pho..phone uth..utha le...cahe ba..baat mat ka...kar...le..lekin plea..please utha to le na...please...(but again got the same result...so sighed painfully, resting his head back...)mera super buddy iss baar sach mein game har gaya na...hann...
...
...
time passed real quickly...and now even the downpour had stopped...yet HE was still at the same position...when the room door opened and an elderly figure entered inside...and walked near HIM with stumbling steps...and a innocent query ringing in the ears...
"AA...AAP MERE BHAI KA KHAYAL RAKHENGE NA..."
ACP:(slow and teary tone...)ABHIIII...(the later looked at him in a jerk...so continued further...)betaa...hume jana hoga na...hmm...(HE nodded and remained sitting at the place, so ACP walked out from the room...controlling his outburst...after seeing a blank nod of his SON which always used to be cheerful...)
...
a few minutes later, ABHIJEET sighed and threw the blanket on the bed...and walked over to the mirror...staring at a ghostly reflection...
"the chocolaty complexion which always seemed to be glowing with happiness...was dull and lifeless..."
"the deep ever expressive eyes which always brimmed with naughtiness...were blank and glazed over..."
"and the skin which was as healthy as a blooming bud...was so pale that HE was close being transparent..."
...
ABHIJEET tried fixing his hairs but then remembered it wasn't really a point...so grabbed the jacket and walked out of the room, turning off the lights...when met HIS DAD on the hallway, who placed a bony hand on HIS shoulder...
ACP:(cautiously staring at him with teary eyes...)ABHII...beta tum ta..tayyar ho na...
ABHIJEET shrugged, and walked down the stairs leaving a shattered figure behind...shaking his head...no..no HE was never ready for it...neither would be in the future...doesn't it seem illogical asking an individual to survive without its soul...BUT ACP didn't react anything as HE didn't expected a response to the query...
...
Both of them got into the car and drove towards the destination which was most undesired at the moment...while HE again leaned his head to the headrest, returning back to the same thoughts of being a rain drop...
because at that that moment HE need to be a strong one, and retracing down the memory lane of old good times...would just do nothing more than increasing the pain in the tender heart...
...
the car came into a halt within a short half an hour later...and they were greeted by a mass of people milling around, outside...ABHIJEET closed his eyes and assured himself that he could do it...HE had been mentally preparing himself since last few days...
BUT HIS heart knew better that HE couldn't...as HE was not ready for the moment...this wasn't supposed to happen...but life isn't a fairy tale and, happy endings are few and far between...
...
...
ABHIJEET slowly opened the car door, and stepped out, facing the crowd...HIS feet started trembling with some unknown fear and a cold chill ran down his spine...
the boughs of the domain remained twisted like contorted bones, writhing in a silent scream...while beneath them lie the cold stones, each marking a dwelling place in which no-one is home...HE was never bothered by the howl of the wind until today, when HE must traverse this place...
HE felt a strong gush of emotions within his nerves as his DAD, appeared from the side...and linked his arms through HIM...with the assurance, "beta...chinta mat karo...main hun na tumhare sath..."
...
BOTH of them started walking forward, avoiding eye-contact with everyone...not wanting to have any conversation...but somewhere or the other ABHIJEET started feeling awkward, as HE wasn't crying but was all out of tears...and most importantly HE didn't know why...
there were a bunch of individuals from school, huddling and give each other hugs...a group of grown ups trying hard to calm their nerves, and speaking in hushed voices glancing at a particular direction...HE couldn't hear what they were saying, or rather was not interested...
the whole environment was strange...none of the people present at the moment were actually close to HIM...as HE was...yet they were all crying...and HE could feel a sudden raise of anger and angst within himself...
...
when suddenly a figure came running, made a direct eye contact which HE immediately averted...and scooped HIM into a tight embrace...with a slow mutter, "ABHIII...yaar..." and choked through a fresh set of tears...
ABHIJEET froze at his place at first, not expecting this...then slowly wrapped HIS arms around HIM...squeezing tightly...and shut HIS eyes...not even letting a single drop of tear falling...
