Asking for her

Ebble asked for a oneshot of Emma and her sister in the EF (sorry, I said previously no more multibirth oneshots)

neongenesisevan: I have twice responded to you, the first time giving a detailed explanation of why I won't write that story. I hope you had a lovely birthday, and if you wish to request something else that would be great. However, if I say no, I mean no.

"Emma!" The twelve-year-old screamed. "Emma I'm going to kill you!" Snow and Charming had to do a double take when they heard the furious voice ringing through the entire palace. Was that…Rosie shouting? At Emma? Surely that couldn't be right. Sure, having five children, Snow and Charming were used to squabbles between them all, but Rosie was the quietest of all their children and the least likely to be involved in any argument. Least of all with her big sister. The two got along so well. Clearly something had gone very wrong. The next thing Snow and Charming heard was feet pounding down the corridor of their study. Charming quickly opened the door and looked out. Sure enough, Emma was sprinting towards them. Something was dreadfully wrong if Emma was frightened enough to run away from Rosie. Emma was very much able to fight her own battles, and often fought Rosie's for her because she wasn't much of a fighter. Not to mention Emma was six years Rosie's senior. She could flatten her, in an emergency. Charming quickly grabbed Emma's arm as she passed and hauled her into the room. He could faintly hear another set of feet thundering this way.

"You probably have about a minute to explain what's going on before she finds you." Charming told her. Emma grimaced.

"Well…Rosie may have told me that she has a little crush on one of the knight's sons. But she was too shy to actually do something about it. So I may have sent him a letter pretending to be her asking for a date." Snow and Charming gave their daughter disapproving looks. Rosie was a very private girl, and she was getting older and, as such, hormones were beginning to kick in. What Emma did would have mortified her, it was no wonder she was furious.

Rosie was now clearly running down this corridor as well, hunting down her big sister. Snow opened the door this time and got Rosie in time. When Rosie saw Emma standing with their dad, she tried to fly for her. Snow held her back.

"Calm down." Snow told her gently.

"Calm down?!" Rosie screeched. "Do you have any idea what she's done?!"

"Emma has told us everything." Charming told her. "We agree with you that it was wrong, and I'm sure Emma does too." Charming nudged Emma.

"Listen, Rosie, I'm sorry if I upset or embarrassed you. I was just trying to help-"

"Well you didn't." Rosie snapped. "He's going to think I'm desperate now. Then if I tell him you wrote that letter, he's going to think I'm stupid."

"Sweetie, if any boy thinks anything like that about you he's not worth your time." Snow said, brushing some hair out of Rosie's face. She then looked over to Emma. "We know you were just trying to help, but sometimes Emma I do wish you'd think a little longer before you acted. It's up to Rosie whether or not you explain to this knight's son that you wrote that letter. But first…did he say yes?" Snow asked her daughter. Rosie's face turned pink. She nodded briskly. Snow grinned and clapped her hands. Charming groaned.

"I'm all for Emma being grounded for life for arranging Rosie a date." He grumbled. Snow just laughed. Emma would indeed be punished for doing this without Rosie's permission, but Snow wasn't going to complain about the results. Well, provided there was a happy ending for her baby girl.
