After moving down the corridor for a short while the group came to a turn where Paladin being the bulkiest and physical strongest went in front. Then a shadow quickly moved across the wall at the other end of the new long stretch of the hall the trio found themselves in. When they got to the end of the hall, two humanoid creatures came out a hiding place in the wall and the vents above. Paladin rushed in shooting the first one, which was the smallest of the two. Then he threw his gun at the second one which was at a human height; then he punched the thing in the face so hard it flew backwards hitting the wall behind Alex and Velra where the force of the punch and being slammed against a solid concrete wall killed it with a crunch of bones and armour breaking. When Paladin picked up his gun, his Ghost came out and scanned the two things Paladin had just killed before saying 'This one here, the smaller one is called a Dreg, and the one you punched into the wall over there is called a Vandal.'

'What are they?' Velra asked.

'These are the lowest ranks of the Fallen' Paladins Ghost said.

'So I'm probably gonna bet that these two aren't the only ones.' Alex added.

'No, they won't be, stay alert and look out on your tracker inside your helmets' Paladins Ghost said before disappearing again.

'I wonder where they go when they do that?' Velra said with a sense of curiosity about her.

After Velra's inquiry about where a Ghost would go to win every game of Hide and Seek it would play, the three newly resurrected Guardians moved throughout the wall killing Fallen and getting a brand new weapon for each of them to add to their arsenal. A shotgun for Paladin, a sniper rifle for Alex and a gun that takes a specific type of energy and shoots it out in a blast of power, the one Velra had shot out arc energy (electrical energy). With the Guardians moving through the wall with ease, they eventually left the wall and were greeted to a massive space that looked like an abandoned spaceship building facility.

Velra's Ghost finally spoke when it revealed that they were in an old Russian Cosmodrome, right as Velra's Ghost finished its sentence a massive rift appeared in the sky next to an old rusted colony ship. Out of the rift came an enormous ship that arrived with a shockwave that knocked down a ship beside it and another one not far from the ship. Then the massive ship started to fly above the trio and go to some unknown destination right as the shockwave reached the Guardians pushing them back a little bit from the sheer amount of force that the wave was carrying. Alex's Ghost broke the momentary silence by saying 'A fallen Ketch, this close to the surface, MOVE!'

Once the trio started to move faster, a small group of ships came close to the ground then stopped. Once the ships stopped some Fallen Dregs and Vandals came out from holes near the rear of the ship used for deploying fighters. About roughly 25 Fallen came out and started to fire upon the Guardians. Alex, Paladin and Velra moved behind a destroyed tank looking thing that Paladins Ghost called a Spider Walker. With the recently revived Guardians were shielding from heavy fire and grenades, their Ghosts told them that they didn't bring them back so that they could die again. After a short while Velra said she had a plan 'Ok, I've got a plan.'

'Plan on sharing it before we all get killed, or shall we wait?' Alex asked, losing patience.

'Be glad we're being shot at right now, or I would kill you myself.' Velra barked at Alex. Paladin got in between the two bickering Guardians next to him by slapping them both across the face.

'Do you two wanna fucking cut it out! We are getting fucking shot at here, and I've just got you two bitchin and moanin to one another? Get a grip, or I'll rip your arms off and hit you with the soggy end.' Paladin said to get the others to shut up and fight. Both Alex and Velra nodded to one another to signify that they would stop fighting for now.

'Right so my plan is to use something my Ghost told me would help us massively right now.' Velra said.

'Which is...?' Alex asked.

'Something called a Nova Bomb?' Velra said.

'What's a Nova Bomb?' Paladin asked with a slight but noticeable hint of uncertainty in his robotic sounding voice.

'Don't know... let's find out!' She said as she jumped over their cover. A few moments later, a massive explosion could be heard from where Velra had landed.

'Well, I think it's safe to say that she's dead.' Alex said.

But a few seconds after Alex had made this statement a voice could be heard saying 'Oh boys!' Alex and Paladin slowly raised their heads simultaneously and looked around at the emptiness of their battlefield. In the middle, Velra could be seen standing with her hand on her hip and gun on her shoulder, and even though they couldn't see her face, they both knew what face she was making. Then the two male Guardians moved away from their cover and continued to move on not knowing what to say as a response to Velra's action.

After a short sprint through the nearby building the trio ran straight into a vast room with a hole in that spanned most of the roof, at the opposite side of the room was a ship held up by cables and hanging on wires. Before the group could do anything else, a small Fallen group came into the room from three others next to the one they were standing in. Paladin spoke up 'Right you two take cover I've got a plan.'

'Which is...?' Velra asked.

'You'll see.' Paladin said as he ran into the enemies. He slammed into the ground creating a wave of electricity from where he landed and punched the Fallen whilst under fire. He got through most of them when he stopped pulsating and being covered in the electricity he was before and was shot dead by an onslaught of fire being rained upon him. Velra gasped when he was killed, and his Ghost was floating above his corpse. Alex's Ghost yelled to Alex,

'Don't let them hit his Ghost!' After this was told to him, he looked at the remaining six enemies and walked out into the room.

'Alex, what are you doing!?' Velra asked, sounding concerned. Alex turned his head slightly and smiled under his helmet, Velra could tell that he didn't entirely know what he was doing either, but it would be grand. The six remaining Fallen, two Dregs, three Vandals and a new shielded enemy had surrounded the front of Alex and were preparing to fire. Right as the Fallen were about the kill Alex, he held his gun to the sky. It and he caught alight, he brought the gun down to his hip and started firing, pulling the trigger and hitting the hammer with each shot, shooting everything that was trying to kill him, killing it as they all burned to a crisp from his Golden Gun. Once the enemies were dead, he spun his gun around his finger, holstered his weapon, and went back to normal.

After Alex's spectacle, Paladins Ghost revived Paladin, and the trio moved toward the ship. Velra's Ghost was scanning the ship saying that it was an old Arcadia Class Jumpship and that it hadn't flown in centuries. 'Will it fly?' Velra asked her Ghost.

'I can make it work.' the Ghost said, sounding quite proud of what it could do. When Velra's Ghost disappeared, the ship started to power-up and flew about 20 meters above the ground.

'Now it won't break orbit, but I can get us back to the City.' Velra's Ghosts said. As it finished its sentence, a roar came from a hole in the wall next to the trio, and two Vandals came out as well as a massive Fallen that was ready to fight.

As the three Guardians moved forward to face off against this new foe Paladins Ghost teleported them into the ship saying 'C'mon!'

As the ship began to take off towards the clouds Alex's Ghost said 'You can come back for them when you're ready.' As the ship disappeared from the Cosmodrome, a hooded female figure stood watching the ship take off.

The ship was flying at immense speed going through clouds and passing various mountain ranges. Then it flew through one last thunderstorm and arrived at The Last City. The was a gargantuan sphere hanging above the City. A wall spanning the entirety of the perimeter of the City and a tower stood above the City. Velra's Ghost said 'Welcome down to The Last City, and it took centuries to build and everyday Guardians like you are protecting the City from threats that would seek to take and destroy all we've built.' The trio was teleported down onto the Tower and looked at the City in awe.

Then as they turned around, Paladins Ghost said 'And this is where the Guardians live.' The three newest editions to the Guardians stood in the Tower with no idea what their future would hold for them.
