With the three newest Guardians back in the City Alex, Paladin and Velra decided to remove their helmets. Paladin went first. 'Ah, feels nice to have that thing off.' he said as his helmet retracted into Bevor revealing his robotic head with half white and half black with a white star just above his left eye to his friends.

'Holy shit, you're a robot!' Alex exclaimed baffled and slightly jealous of Paladin.

'He's an Exo, a robot who was a human, but he decided to transfer his subconscious and personality into the body you see before you.' Paladins Ghost added. His eyes were lightbulbs and they shone with a white light, so did his mouth when he spoke.

'Thank you, Ghost.' Paladin said graciously to his Ghost.

'You can name me, you know.' Paladins Ghost said.

'Really?' Said a puzzled Paladin.

'Yes, so what is my name going to be Guardian?' The Ghost said eager to receive his name.

'Ummm, how about... LightningFire.' Paladin said hopeful that his Ghost would like the name he suggested.

'That name is awesome.' His Ghost said with lots of excitement.

'So you want that as your name?' Paladin asked his Ghost.

'Yes.' His Ghost responded.

'Well, it's a pleasure to be properly acquainted with you, LightningFire.' Paladin said.

'And to you as well, Paladin-15.' LightningFire said.

Velra was next to take off her helmet. When the helmet was fully retracted into her Bevor, what was revealed was a more human head but with some noticeable differences, like her blue skin and naturally purple hair that was very still on the left and very wild the right. She also had natural purple lips and some strange small marking like features on the bridge of her nose. 'Ok, What the fuck?' Alex said.

'She's an Awoken, a race of humans who had were altered when they attempted to leave the Solar System when the Collapse, an extinction-level event that almost killed humanity that was caused by the Travellers ancient enemy, the darkness. They were changed and became immortal, and some would say they became the most beautiful humans ever.'

'What that said.' Velra said, pointing to her Ghost.

'We do have genders you know, well kind of.' Velra's Ghost said.

'How does that work?' Velra inquired.

'It depends on our voices really, and whether or not we have a USB port on our eye-ball thing. I am a female Ghost.' The Ghost said.

'Huh, anyway do I name you to know?' Velra asked her Ghost.

'No.' The Ghost said.

'Aw, why not?' Velra asked, disappointed.

'I already have a name that I'm quite satisfied with, thank you.' The Ghost said.

'Alright then, what's your name?' Velra asked, sounding quite annoyed that she didn't get to pick a name.

'My name is Griffin.' Her Ghost said.

'Oh, I quite like that name I'm not gonna lie.' Velra said.

'I knew you would.'

Alex then retracted his helmet into his Bevor to reveal his completely normal human face except for his amber-yellow eyes. 'Oh, nice eyes.' Velra said.

'Nice hair.' Paladin said, looking at Alex's short hair spiked at the top of his head yet the sides were regular.

'Thanks.' Alex said.

'He's just a human, no need to explain, nothing special here.' Alex's Ghost said.

'So, your name you little fucker?' Alex asked, annoyed at his Ghost.

'I do have a name, but I hate it, please give me a new one!' His Ghost begged him.

'Hmmm, how about Sparkle?' Alex asked.

'If I had arms, they would be around your neck right now.' The Ghost said.

'Ok then, what about, Goldsrike?' Alex asked his Ghost.

'Bingo, thank you, Hunter.' His Ghost said to him.

'What was that?' Alex asked his Ghost.

'Your Vanguard will explain it to you. Come on, let's go!' Goldstrike said as he began to head toward an entranceway in the middle of what the trio decided must have been a courtyard.

'My what?!' Alex shouted after Goldstrike but got no response.

When Paladin, Velra and Alex followed their Ghosts, they came across some new and interestingly strange people. One such person was a woman who stood in between the two staircases that gave Guardians an entrance and exit to this place. 'You three come here for a moment.' the woman told the trio. 'My name is Eris Morn, you need not tell me your name just now, but I know something, something that the Vanguard is too afraid and too naive to act upon it. All I need from you is a promise that you will do what the Vanguard will not.' The woman called Eris said to Paladin, Alex and Velra not caring if all of them made a promise but just one.

'We'll help you when you need it.' Paladin said on behalf of his teammates knowing that they would help.

'Thank you; now I do believe that the Vanguard wishes to speak to you.' And with that, they moved further down the large corridor to get to the room at the end when a loud, booming voice saying

'ARE YOU READY FOR THE CRUCIBLE GUARDIANS!?' scared the new Guardians who had just spoken to Eris Morn Shitless.

'Holy shit balls, what the fuck was that?' Alex asked in a tone that was effectively him saying 'WHAT THE IN MOTHERFUCKIN LOVE OF SHIT WAS THAT!?'

'Sorry to startle you three.' the man from which the voice came from said.

'I am Lord Shaxx, Crucible handler.'

'What's the Crucible?' Paladin asked anxious to know more about what the man had only now been realised to be about a half a head taller than Paladin who was about 6ft.

'The Crucible is a place where Guardians can fight one another to either settle arguments or to better yourself and hone your skills. Either way, the Crucible is a wonderful place.' Shaxx said to the three Guardians in front of him.

'You're tall.' Velra said, not caring about whether or not it was an appropriate thing to say.

'Yes I am, 6ft 4'' in fact.' Shaxx said in response to Velra's statement as if he got asked what his height was often, which it probably was after that Shaxx realised why three new Guardians would be down here. 'Any way you three best head over to the Vanguard, I'll see you in the Crucible Guardians.' Shaxx said.

As the tall, loud man known as Shaxx stopped speaking Paladin, Velra and Alex entered the hall that the three Vanguard members were in standing around a massive table. The trio could see their Ghosts near a different Vanguard member, so they each went to where their Ghost was. Paladin went to the man at the head of the table known as Commander Zavala, Awoken and Titan Vanguard. Velra went to a woman on the right side of the table when you enter the room that got called Ikora Rey, Human and Warlock Vanguard. Alex went to the man on the left side of the room that was Cayde-6, Exo and Hunter Vanguard.

When Paladin arrived at the man he was going to, he felt the instinct to stand at attention in front of the Commander he was in the presence of, to which the Commander responded, 'At ease, soldier.' To which Paladin stood more relaxed. 'What is your name, Guardian' the man asked.

'My name is Paladin-15, Sir.' Paladin responded, not knowing what to do as his thoughts said, 'Fuckfuckfuck, what do I do, what do I do!?'

'No need to call me Sir; call me Zavala or Commander if you want to be formal and relax Paladin. I can assure you; you are not the first new light to be nervous.' Paladin felt more relaxed after hearing that he wasn't the only one to feel nervous.

'My name is Commander Zavala, Titan Vanguard, and you, Paladin, are a Titan.' Zavala said.

'What's a Titan?' Paladin asked with absolutely no idea what Zavala was about he getting told.

'Our heavy armour and swept-back helmets distinguish us, Titans. The first Titans built the wall that surrounds the City. Our heritage is rooted in and about us being strong, selfless, self-sacrificial and merciless. We are always the first on the battlefield and always the last off of it. We are effectively super-soldiers. As a Titan, we are part of the City - in a way that no Hunter or Warlock could understand. The dream of the City rests upon our shoulders.' Zavala said, describing what a Titan is to the new one in front of him.

'So what do I do now?' Paladin asked Zavala.

'Well, your Ghost told me about what you and the other two done to escape the Cosmodrome, and that he didn't have enough time to explain everything to you. But those you escaped with, are now your fireteam treat them like family.' Zavala said, finishing his meeting with Paladin. 'Oh and see Amanda Holliday in the Tower Hanger, she has a little surprise for you three.' Zavala added as Paladin began to walk away.

When Velra arrived at the woman where her Ghost was, she felt a slight unease for some strange unknown reason. 'Hello Velra Jihn.' the woman said.

'How do you know my name?' Velra asked the woman.

'Your Ghost has been telling me about what you and your friends done to escape that Cosmodrome.' the woman told Velra. 'My name is Ikora Rey, Human, Vanguard to the Warlocks and you, are a Warlock.' Ikora told Velra.

'So what exactly is a Warlock?' Velra asked.

'Power.' Ikora started.

'Ok, interesting start.' Velra told Ikora. Ikora continued as if nothing was said. 'Only Warlocks understand true power. True power lies in knowledge, in understanding. We take the secrets of the Universe and use them as tools. We are warrior-scholars, or as Cayde over there would describe us, ''Glam rock space wizards.'' You have immeasurable power, use it wisely.' Ikora said as she finishes describing what a Warlock is to the new one in front of her. 'Now I do believe that Holliday wants to see you in the Hanger, but grab your fireteam first.' Ikora added as Velra began to walk towards Alex.

As Alex arrived at the Exo standing at the table, the man noticed Alex and said to him. 'Yo, It's Alan, right?' The man asked.

'Alex.' Alex responded.

'Right, sorry about that, Cayde-6, Exo, Hunter Vanguard.' The man called Cayde said.

'Ok, what the fucks a Hunter?' Alex asked.

'A Hunter is about where you belong, Titans have their walls and Warlocks have their Libraries but us Hunters, we belong in the wilds, and if you wanna survive you'd better have a sharp blade or a good shot. We aren't as strong as Titans and not as smart as Warlocks, but that doesn't mean that we aren't those things. Now we're the things that if you don't see coming, then you're in deep shit.' Cayde said, explaining to Alex what a Hunter is. 'Now your Ghost told me what you did in that Cosmodrome, Pretty impressive shit I'm not gonna lie. Now Amanda wants to see you but before you go to the Hanger go to Banshee-44, the Tower Gunsmith, he'll sort you out with some proper weaponry, and there is a Hunter I want you to meet.' Cayde added.

'Ok, who are they?' Alex inquired.

'Her name is Katelyn Rivers, she wants people to call her Kate, but we all call her Katelyn or Rivers. She's one of the best Hunters the City has, now when you see her tell her I sent you and that you need tips on fishin. Not fishing, fishin. You're going to make a great Hunter Alex I can tell it.' Cayde said.

'Thanks.' Alex said.

'Don't mention it.' Cayde said. 'Now grab your fireteam and go grab some guns.'

With all three of the Guardians spoken to their respective Vanguards, they went off to find Banshee-44 and get some new firepower.
