Keeping it to herself
Charmillsasked for a oneshot of Emma's arm being bandaged up, but she refuses to tell her parents why because it's an embarrassing reason.
"Come on Emma." Charming said, exasperated. "Please, tell us what happened to your arm."
"No." Emma said simply. "It doesn't matter what the details are. Whale's fixed it up and it'll be out of the sling within six to eight weeks. I'll be back to fieldwork as soon as it's out and been assessed." Snow and Charming gave each other a look. Emma had come home late a few days ago with her arm bandaged up and in a sling. Despite near constant badgering from both of her parents, Emma had refused to give any details at all as to how she had broken her arm.
"We promise not to get mad." Snow told her for what felt like the thousandth time. "We'll respect your way of dealing with the situation, whatever it was that happened." Snow and Charming each had horrendous images running through their heads as to what had happened to their daughter. Had someone deliberately hurt her? Had she narrowly escaped with her life?
"I keep telling you both, and I will keep telling you until you stop asking. I'm not telling you what happened. It doesn't matter. I am fine. Now, leave it." Emma grumped, getting off the couch and heading up to her room. Emma wasn't worried about either of her parents getting mad, more not being able to contain their laughter. I mean, who manages to break their arm by getting a little excited and overenthusiastically performing Gangnam Style at the end of their shift because it was on the radio?!
I won't be writing a sequel to this one :).
