Just a little drabble that came to mind while watching the episode "Exit Wounds" (5x21). Nothing serious. Sorry for any OOC stuff.
"Are you coming to bed? Hotch is going to want us pretty early tomorrow." Spencer said putting on another layer over his pajamas. If possible, it was even colder at night here in Alaska. Hopefully, we could solve this case quickly and return to the still cold, but less frigid D.C air.
I was sitting in an armchair in the corner of the room. My knees were tucked into Spencer's oversized sweatshirt. I closed the book I was reading and sank more into the chair.
"Is it weird to be sleeping in the same bed?" I asked Spencer, my face crunching with concern.
"Why would it be? We sleep in the same bed all the time." He said taking my hands and pulling me up from the chair.
"Yeah, when we're at home. We're working now." I wrapped my arms around him.
"I mean, the team knows about us. I don't think it's weird. I mean Morgan and Garcia are sharing a room, and they're much more libidinous than us." He said with a slight chuckle.
"Yeah, but think about it. Literally, only a wall is separating us from Hotch and Rossi."
"You think they're sharing a bed?" He said raising an eyebrow. I snorted at his joke.
"Rossi definitely made Hotch take the floor….I don't know, it's just weird."
"Come on, it's late." Spencer pulled us both into the bed, making sure we were tucked deeply under the thick layers of comforters. I snuggled in closer to him, twisting my legs between his and wrapping myself around him tightly attempting to protect us both from the cold. The old springs of the bed screeched under our weight as we tried to settle in. Once we were finally able to rest comfortably and warmly, in a freshly-baked human pretzel of limbs I gently kissed him softly on the nose.
"I love you."
"I love you t-" There were three large bangs on the wall, shortly followed by Rossi's booming voice from beyond. Spencer and I looked at each other wide-eyed.
"My gun is loaded and if I hear those springs going again at any point in the night...I will shoot."
"Nope," I said jumping out of bed. "No no no no no," I quickly grabbed my coat and sneakers.
"Where are you going? You'll freeze." Spencer said, now getting a little frustrated by the number of times his attempt to sleep has been interrupted.
"Just down into the lobby. Clear my head a little...stall him going to sleep. You can stay." I grabbed my book and the room key. Spencer gave me a warning look. "I'll be fine, I promise. Go to sleep." I leaned over the bed and kissed him gently before leaving the room and heading down into the lobby.
