House of Time:
The next morning, the Anubis residents were sitting at the table having breakfast. Trudy told the residents early that they had first period free.
"Did you hear that little earthquake yesterday evening?" Asked Caitlin.
"That was no earthquake. Definitely an alien mother ship taking off," said Alfie.
"Yeah, sure it was Alfie," joked Otis.
"Patricia believes me. Don't you, Patricia?" Asked Alfie.
"Sure," said Patricia.
Jerome and Otis just laughed at Alfie's story. Alfie felt upset that no-one believes him.
After breakfast the club headed to Nina and Amber's room, to talk about what happened last night. Amber wasn't paying any attention and was writing something in her notebook.
"So I've been thinking about the fourth puzzle piece and how Sarah's numbers opened it," said Fabian.
"Yeah, what about it," said Aaron.
"Well the fifth puzzle piece looks exactly the same. So are we assuming Sarah's numbers open that one too?" Suggested Fabian.
"Maybe we shouldn't try it. Those noises terrified me," said Patricia.
"Me too," said Aaron.
"Maybe we should take a look at the riddle?" Suggested Nina.
Nina grabbed the riddle from her bag and gave it to Fabian.
"My father's father stands tall. His face and hands together turn circles around Isis and Osiris, and hours the son reveals me," said Fabian, while he read the riddle out loud.
"I thought these things were getting easier," said Aaron.
"Guys, I need help with my campaign," said Amber
"Amber we are now busy to solve an ancient Egyptian riddle," said Nina.
"Yes and I'm on the way to becoming a school mascot," said Amber.
"You mean school ambassador?" Said Aaron.
"Whatever. Know how good this is if I later want to go into politics or become a business woman, then it will look sooo great on my résumé," said Amber.
"Oh My Gosh, Amber is going into politics? I'm going to immigrate immediately," joked Patricia
Nina and Aaron laughed at Patricia's comment. Amber couldn't laugh at Patricia's comment.
"You're just jealous," said Amber.
"Off what?" Asked Patricia.
"That I'm one of the two selected candidates," said Amber.
"First, I didn't sign up and second, I'm amazed that Mr. Sweet chose you as one of the two candidates," said Patricia.
"That's because I've got the X-factor," said Amber.
"Or are you just doing this to get back at Mara?" Asked Patricia.
"Why would I do that?" Asked Amber.
"Because Mara and Mick are together now and you're just a jealous chicken," said Patricia
"Me? A jealous chicken? What is there to be jealousy? I'm sooo totally over Mick," said Amber.
"Guys let's just focus on the riddle," suggested Nina.
While the club was still working on the riddle, Mara had already gone to school. Mara was in the drama room and was busy with her campaign. Moments later and Jerome walked in and sat down next to her.
"Hey what are you doing?" Asked Jerome.
"Working on my campaign," said Mara.
"And how does that going for you?" Asked Jerome.
"Not good. And it doesn't matter anyway. I have to compete against Amber, the most popular girl in the school," said Mara.
"Mara how many times do I have to say that you are the one who is going to win this. Amber doesn't stand a chance," said Jerome.
"Yes, she does. Mr. Sweet liked her ideas. And she has the most popular teacher in the school as her coach. And I've got Sweetie," said Mara.
"Okay maybe she has Mr. Winkler by her side. But if those assignments are intellectual, then win them with ease. Amber doesn't have the brains for that," said Jerome.
Mara showed a shy smile on her face and appreciated that Jerome tried to sheer her up again.
"Hey, Mara, how do you fancy going out for lunch with me somewhere off campus?" Asked Jerome.
"Are you asking me out on a date?" Asked Mara.
"Sort off, "said Jerome.
"Because I'm still trying to solve the whole Mick equation, which is complicated," said Mara
"Mara, Mick's a meathead. And look at you. You're bright and pretty. And you've got a future, like me. Are you actually ready to throw all that away on a loser like Campbell?" Asked Jerome.
"It's school ambassador, not Westminster or the White House, said Mara," as she stood up and walked away.
While Mara walked away. Otis walked over to Jerome with a smug smile on his face.
"What are you smiling about?" Asked Jerome.
You like Mara, teased Otis.
"No, I don't," said Jerome.
"Sorry, let me correct that. You love Mara," teased Otis.
"Oh shut mate," said Jerome.
Jerome and Otis left the drama room and walked over to the class.
After class Amber and Aaron were sitting in the drama room.
"Do you want to hear my speech that I wrote?" Asked Amber.
"Yeah, okay is fine. Let's hear it," said Aaron.
"I have a dream that someday everyone at school has 15 minute longer break, I have a dream that there would be a school dance every month. I have a dream that all toilets have life-size mirrors and soft toilet paper. I have a dream that Justin Bieber will sing on our graduation," said Amber
"Amber what is this?" Asked Aaron.
"This my speech based on Jeffrey Wright's speech, said Amber.
"You mean Martin Luther King's speech," said Aaron.
"No his character was called that," said Amber.
"Amber, Martin Luther King was a real person. Jeffrey Wright only played him in a movie," said Aaron.
"Really?" Asked Amber.
Aaron nodded his head.
"Can't you help me?" Asked Amber
"You're my sister. Off course I'll help you," said Aaron.
"Thank you, thank you," said Amber, while she gave her brother a hug.
At the same Fabian was in the boys bathroom trying to figure out the riddle. Suddenly Fabian had figured out the riddle.
"Isis and Osiris. Sun and moon. Day and night. It's the clock," said Fabian.
"Ticktock, ticktock, ticktock, tick," said Alfie, who was in the stall next to Fabian,
Fabian and Alfie come out of the bathroom stalls.
"Oh, my father's father stands tall. Oh, man, seriously loser lyrics. Even I could come up with something better. Ugh," said Alfie.
Fabian dropped the puzzle piece and was about the leave the bathroom. Fabian quickly grabbed the puzzle piece of the floor and checked if it was still intact.
"You're not gonna wash your hands? Gross," said Alfie
Then Alfie noticed the puzzle piece in Fabian's hand.
"Hey, that's my alien artifact. What are you doing with that?" Asked Alfie.
"Nothing. It wasn't yours in the first place," said Fabian.
Fabian ran out of the boys bathroom and Alfie followed him.
In the meantime Mara was looking for Jerome, after a sort while she found him.
"Jerome, about earlier...," said Mara, but she got interrupted by Jerome.
"Mara, look, I was out of line," said Jerome.
Mara was about the say something, but couldn't because Fabian bumped into her and Jerome while he tried to escape Alfie.
"Well, I have to apologize to Mick about 50 times before he even thinks about...," said Mara, but she was interrupted once because this time Alfie bumped into her and Jerome while he chased Fabian.
"Talking to me again," said Mara.
"Look, Mara, it's called a guilt trip, and I can't be dealing with that. Probably because I can't be dealing with feeling guilty in the first place. Who has the time, right? Come on," said Jerome.
Fabian, thought that he lost Alfie. Fabian headed to the house and walked over to the clock, but what he didn't knew was that Alfie had followed him back to the house. Fabian wanted to change the pointers, but when he tried to change the one of the pointers broke off. Victor heard something and came downstairs. Fabian put down pointer hid in the cupboard under the stairs. Alfie walked to the clock and took the hand, just that very moment Victor walked downstairs.
"What are you doing?" Asked Victor.
"Um, I. I was. I needed to know the time," said Alfie.
"Did you break this?" Asked Victor, as he took the pointer out of Alfie's hand.
"No," said Alife
"Don't lie to me, boy," said Victor. "What were you doing?" He asked
"Well, Victor, it's like this. I thought it would be a bit of a fun if I pulled a punk on everyone and put the clocks back so everyone was late for dinner and stuff. You got to laugh, eh?" Said Alfie.
Victor grabbed a toothbrush from his pocket and handed it Alfie.
"Toilet duty. That's like five times this term. You need to get a new punishment. Like, make me watch 48 hour of tv or something. I hate tv!" Said Alfie.
"Now, Mr. Lewis," said Victor.
Victor went back upstairs Alfie walked over to the boys bathroom to clean it. At the same time Nina arrived at the house.
"Psst. Nina. Nina," said Fabian.
"Fabian?" Said Nina
"Is Victor gone?" Asked Fabian.
"Uh, yeah. What are you doing down there?" Asked Nina.
"It's a long story," said Fabian. "Where is he?" He asked.
"He just went upstairs," said Nina.
Fabian came out of the closet and walked over the the clock. Fabian told Nina to keep watch. Fabian put the pointer at 3 o'clock, but the clock was empty.
"It's empty. There's nothing here," said Fabian, disappointed
"I think it's time for another Sibuna meeting, don't you think?" Suggested Nina.
Later that day. The club headed to Nina and Amber's room to have a meeting. Alfie followed the club.
"Okay, so what's so urgent?" Asked Aaron
"We need to talk about the house, the relics, the earthquake, said Nina.
"I thought as much," said Alfie, as he entered the room of Nina and Amber.
"Alfie?" Said the club in unison.
"What do you know about the relics and the quakes? Where have they come from? Or should I just ask Victor what's going on? Threatened Alfie
"Look, Alfie, look. The thing is. You were right. You've been right all along," said Fabian.
"I was?" About what? Asked Alfie.
"The thing you found is a real alien artifact, and we're scared that aliens may have infiltrated the school, and we don't know who they are, what they want, or if they want to harm us, right, guys?" Said Fabian.
"Yeah," said Nina.
"Precisely," said Aaron.
"Totally," said Amber.
"Exactly," said Patricia.
"It's really, really important that we keep this to ourselves," said Fabian
"Well, how about I do some research on the Internet, see what we need to do to protect ourselves?" Suggested Alfie.
"Yeah, that is a great idea. And take all the time you need. I know we can count on you, Alfie," said Fabian.
Alfie left the room to do some research. The club felt bad for lying to Alfie.
"Aw, I feel really mean. He's been so nice to me the last few days," said Patricia.
"You are mean, but I was mean, and that's unusual," said Amber.
"We're protecting him. It's better that he spills some ludicrous story about aliens than about the you know what," said Fabian.
"Okay, guys, can we get back to the reason we called this meeting in the first place, please?" Asked Nina.
"Good idea," said Aaron.
"The puzzle piece we found in Victor's safe, I think maybe that was the one that was hidden in the clock originally, Fabian," said Nina.
"Which explains why. it wasn't there just now," said Fabian.
"Yeah, but I don't think Victor managed to open and find what was inside it, because he wouldn't have known the numbers," said Nina.
"Sarah's numbers. He might have," suggested Fabian.
"Sarah's numbers don't open that piece. I think these do," said Nina, while she handed Fabian her notebook.
"Whose are these?" Asked Fabian.
"Now, I'm not crazy about this, but mine," said Nina.
"Well there one way to know for sure", said Fabian.
Later that night, the club was in Nina and Amber's room. The club was ready to open the fifth puzzle piece.
"Okay, guys, I don't know what's gonna happen when I open this, and who am I kidding? It's probably gonna be pretty horrifying. So I just want to make sure, are we all still on board?" Asked Nina.
Fabian, Amber, Aaron and Patricia weren't too sure about it.
"Sibuna," said Fabian.
"Sibuna," said Nina, Amber, Aaron and Patricia in unison.
"11, 07, 07, 19, 95," said Nina, while she put the numbers into the edge of the puzzle piece.
But nothing happened.
"Wow, that was much less scary than I thought," said Aaron.
"Is that it?" Asked Patricia
"Do you think Victor did open it and seal it back up again?" Asked Aaron.
Suddenly Fabian saw something and it kinda scared him.
"Guys," said Fabian, as he pointed to the wall.
The club turned around and were shocked and scared at what they saw.
