House of Aliens:

The club was staring at the wall. Suddenly a text appeared. And shortly after the text disappeared.

"Awaken the voice?" Asked Patricia.

"What does it mean?" Asked Aaron.

"Nina?" Asked Fabian

"I've no idea," said Nina.

The club was kinda surprised that Nina didn't know the answer.

The next morning Nina and Amber were a sleep. Suddenly their alarm goes off. Nina punches the snoozer and the alarm stops. Nina took a look at the locket and the she got up. Nina saw that Amber had trouble waking up and walked over to her bed.

"Amber get up, we need to go to school," said Nina.

"No, I don't want to go to school. I'm to traumatized about last night," said Amber.

"Amber you can't just stay in bed all day," said Nina.

"Watch me," said Amber.

"Okay, if you wanna stay alone all day in our room, with a spirit I'm not going to stop you," said Nina, as she walked to the door.

"No! I don't want that! Wait for me!" Said Amber.

Amber got out of bed as fast as she could and left the room with Nina to go the bathroom to brush their teeth and get ready for school.

Nina decided the skip first period to visit Sarah at the old people's home, to maybe get some answers.

"Hello, Sarah," said Nina, as she entered Sarah's room

"Tears of glass," said Sarah, as she was shining a piece of glass onto the wall

"How do you know about that?" Asked Nina, as she sat down next to Sarah.

"I put it back," said Sarah.

"Put what back?" Asked Nina.

"It's so odd. Two steps forward, three steps back! I let daddy down. I couldn't find them", said Sarah. "But you will, I know, because you have the power," she said

"What's the power, Sarah?" Asked Nina. "Tell me about the power?" she asked.

"I can hear it, you know. It whispers," said Sarah.

"Who whispers, Sarah? Who whispers?" Asked Nina.

"The house," said Sarah.

Nina couldn't believe her ears. The only thing Nina could think of was that Sarah somehow knew that the house had come to live.

Back at school. the Anubis residents, minus Nina had class from Mrs. Andrews. But before class started, Mr. Sweet wanted to make an announcement.

"Amber and Mara, today you get your first assignment," Mr. Sweet.

"What do we need do Mr. Sweet?" Asked Mara.

"Okay, in this bowl there are names of everyone else in the world, you draw a note and that note says a country. That country will be your theme for this election," said Mr. Sweet

Mr. Sweet walked over to Amber and she was the first to draw a note. Amber picked up a note and checked which world country she had. Amber looked disappointed.

"Ugh, America, what a bore," said Amber.

"You're lucky that Nina isn't here to hear that comment," said Aaron.

"Yeah, especially since I might need her help. Because she's my best friend and American she could really help me," said Amber.

Mr. Sweet walked over to Mara and now she grabbed a note from the bowl and read what the note said.

"India," said Mara.

"Okay so you have your countries, so now you have to do as much research as possible for your essay," said Mr. Sweet.

"Essay?" Asked Amber

"Yes, the one with the best essay wins. And we are going to take a good look at whether you do not copy everything literally from the internet," said Mr. Sweet.

Mara was happy with the first assignment, Amber a little less happy. Mr. Sweet left the class and Mrs. Andrews continued with her class. Mrs. Andrews started to hand out books to everyone. And at the same time Alfie told the club about his alien research.

"There was this tv show in the '80's about these lizard aliens who had human skin and ate people. I was up all last night watching reruns," said Alfie.

"Now, this poem is a personal favorite of mine. Listen to the language, the scaliness of the words. "A snake came to my water through on a hot, hot day," said Mrs. Andrews as she read the poem.

"See, random reptile mention. I always knew there was something not right about Andrews," said Alfie.

"His yellow-brown slackness soft-bellied down over the edge," said Mrs. Andrews, as she continued reading the poem.

"She's talking about aliens, isn't she? Lizard lady," said Alfie.

Patricia couldn't help to laugh and thought that Alfie was being funny. While Mrs. Andrews continued reading the poem. Alfie got up.

"No! Alfie, wait," said Aaron.

"Alfie what are you doing?" Asked Fiona.

"Show yourself, lizard lady," said Alfie.

Alfie charged towards Mrs. Andrews and tackled her to the ground. Some of the class started to laugh and the others just were shocked. Mrs. Andrews order Alfie to get off.

In the meantime. Nina was still at the old people's home talking to Sarah.

"You have to follow the voice within. Trust it. Listen to it," said Sarah.

"Is that what 'follow the voice' means?" Asked Nina.

"The house knows," said Sarah.

"You once told me that the house was evil," said Nina.

"Oh, you misunderstood me. It's the guardian who's evil," said Sarah.

"Who's the guardian? Asked Nina. "Victor," she said.

"They tricked me. They both tricked me. I thought they liked me. All they wanted was the secret. I wouldn't tell them. I don't want to live forever," said Sarah.

Nina felt very sorry for Sarah. But at the same time she was wonder who they were. Then Nina thought that 'they' could be Victor and Rufus.

Back school. Jerome, Otis, Fiona and Caitlin were sitting in the drama room and the boys having the times of their lives, because what Alfie did in class, they two boys could stop laughing. Fiona and Caitlin didn't think it was funny at all.

"Oh that was easily the funniest thing to happen all year," said Jerome.

"I know. And I'm kinda upset that I didn't got to film it," said Otis.

"Yeah. The one time something excited happens in Mrs. Andrews class and we don't even get to watch it back," said Jerome.

"You guys are unbelievable. Alfie is your friend and he's obviously totally confused," said Fiona. "How can you guys laugh at him like that?" She asked.

"Yeah, maybe those weights of Mick did more damage to his head then we thought, said Caitlin.

"And now here you two are making fun of him," said Fiona.

"Do you think Alfie's going to be in a lot of trouble?" Asked Otis.

"Don't know. He'll probably blame it on the aliens, joked Jerome.

Jerome and Otis burst into laughter. Fiona and Caitlin walked away, because they didn't like that Jerome and Otis were making fun of Alfie.

In the meantime. Mick arrived back in school. Amber noticed Mick walking in the hallway and walked up to him.

"Mick, you're back. We weren't expecting you till this evening," said Amber.

"Got an earlier ride," said Mick.

"Did you get the scholarship?" Asked Amber.

"Oh, I don't know. Probably won't know for a few weeks," said Mick. "Is Mara around?" He asked.

"I thought you and Mara were, like, over, finished, done, sayonara," said Amber.

I don't know what me and Mara are. It's complicated. It was never like that with me and you, was it?" Said Mick.

"No, it wasn't. It was really easy and super fun most of the time, and we looked so good in photos together," said Amber.

"Yeah, I know. I miss that sometimes," said Mick

"You do?" Asked Amber.

"Anyway, I best go and say hello, I think. I'll catch you later, Ambs, yeah?" Said Mick.

Mick walked away and at the same time Patricia walked up to Amber.

"Amber, have you seen Fabian and Aaron?" Asked Patricia

"Get this, Mick's back, and he seriously missed me. mean, why wouldn't he? I give it 24 hours, and I bet we're back on," said Amber.

Patricia ignored Amber and went looking for Fabian and Aaron.

In the meantime, Mara had sat down with Jerome and Otis.

"So are you happy that the first assignment is an essay?" Asked Otis.

"Yes, and all I have to do now is find a lot of information about India," said Mara

"That shouldn't be a problem for you, right?" Asked Jerome.

"No, but all the help is welcome," said Mara.

"Of course I'll help you Mara. And by the way even without help you win this. Amber will never write a good essay. You win this assignment easy peasy," said Jerome.

At the same time Mick entered the drama room.

"Um, Hi," said Mick.

"Mick," said Mara.

Mara rushed into Mick's arm and hugged him. Jerome felt extremely jealous and Otis noticed Jerome's jealousy.

In the meantime. Alfie was walking down the hallway when he was dragged into the classroom by Patricia. Fabian and Aaron were also in the class room.

"Trixie, a bit tight on the collar," said Alfie.

"Alfie, we haven't been entirely honest with you," said Fabian

"Oh, no. Oh, I should have seen this coming. It's always like this in the films, and I didn't see it. You're the aliens. Oh, how could I have been so blind?" Said Alfie.

"We're not aliens, Alfie. There aren't any aliens, you doofus," said Aaron

"That's exactly what an alien would say," said Alfie

"We just made it up to get you off our backs," said Fabian.

"But what about the alien artifacts?" Asked Alfie

"They're puzzle pieces. They lead to some kind of relic or treasure," said Fabian.

"Treasure? Is it alien-related, and how much is it worth?" Asked Alfie.

Fabian, Aaron and Patricia shook their heads. Telling Alfie that aliens had nothing to do with the treasure.

Later that day. Nina sneaked into the house and went upstairs. Nina saw that Victor was in his office and managed to sneak into the girls corridor without Victor seeing her.

An hour later and school was over. The Anubis residents returned home. Mick and Mara were sitting in the living room together.

"And I missed you so much," said Mick.

"Really?" Asked Mara.

"I swear. I never stopped thinking about you," said Mick

"That is one of the sweetest things you've ever said," said Mara.

"That's one of the most nauseating things you've ever said," said Amber, as she walked into the living room

"Amber," said Mick.

"I thought you said you and Mara were too complicated," said Amber.

"What? No, I don't," said Mick.

"I thought you said you miss what you and me had, easy, fun, photogenic. That's what you said," said Amber.

"Well, no, I didn't actually mean that," said Mick.

"You're unbelievable, Mick," said Amber, as she walked out of the living room angry.

"Have I missed something?" Asked Mara.

"Nothing. Forget her," said Mick. Mara, "I need to know. Will you go out with me?" He asked.

"Yes," said Mara, with a big smile on her face.

Mick and Mara started to kiss.

In the meantime Nina in the attic. Nina decided to the listen to Sarah and decided to listen to the voice. At first nothing happened but then the wind knocked over a box. Nina walked over to the box and saw that it was filled with an article. Nina was in shocked when she read the title of the article.

Boarding school founded on Anubis estate. Victor Rodenmaar Jr. son of the late Victor Rodenmaar sr. had founded a new school on the Anubis estate with help from his benefactors, Mr. Rufus Zeno and miss Sarah Frobisher-Smythe.

"How come Sarah's aged and Victor and Rufus haven't?" Asked Nina to herself.

But then Nina realized something. The club was right about the elixir, but wrong about Victor's age. And this also meant that Rufus was much older. Nina put the article in her pocket and left the attic and headed to her room.
