Henry's cursed anger
Jade Star asked for a oneshot of Emma finding Henry during the curse of shattered sight vandalising a store. Emma tries to get him to stop. He yells at her for ruining his life.
Emma had to find Ingrid, and fast. The longer everyone in Storybrooke was under the curse of shattered sight, the more likely it was that there would be relationships that couldn't be repaired. Or worse, that someone would get seriously hurt. She was making her way down Main Street when she saw something strange, despite all the carnage around her. There was a teen vandalising the shutter that was down over Granny's. That must be how Granny was keeping herself (and her crossbow) from hurting anyone. Emma looked closer and was shocked. It was Henry. Emma knew speaking to him right now might not be the best idea, but she had to. She couldn't let him spray paint graffiti, cursed or not. Cautiously, she walked over to her son.
"Henry." Emma said calmly. "How did you even get out here."
"Why would you care?" Henry snapped. "You like the novelty of having a kid, but every chance you get you palm me off onto someone else. My other mom, Granny, Red, Belle. You don't care as long as you don't have to deal with me." Emma couldn't help but feel stung, but knew these weren't really Henry's words. She did her best to ignore him. "I wish I had never bothered to come find you! You've brought nothing but trouble here. If it wasn't for you being stupid enough to go looking for Rumplestiltskin's son I would never have been brought to Neverland, and my dad would still be alive." Emma bit her lip. That one really hurt.
"We both know that's not true. You're cursed. Let's just get you back to your mom's office. You'll be safe there until I can break this thing…"
"You never fix anything! Not really!" Henry bellowed. "Just pave over the cracks so it looks like you have. Well now the dam's burst. There's nothing you can do this time. You can't make me go with you anywhere. You're not my real mom, just the woman who gave birth to me. I don't need you. All you do is ruin my life!" Emma couldn't stand to hear anymore. With a flick of her wrist, Henry disappeared. Emma knew he would reappear in his other mom's office, hopefully now locked inside, safe and sound, until she broke this curse. She wasn't sure she could deal with another outburst like that from him.
I won't be writing a sequel to this one :).
