Reflecting himself- part 2

A guest asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2350 "Reflecting himself" where Charming is in the dungeon, demanding to see the king. Older Charming comes down and tells Charming his magical weapons have been destroyed, and he will be stuck in the dungeon until they learn his true identity. Charming tells his older self that Emma is in danger, and if he wants to protect her, he must listen.

After hours of relentless banging on the bars, the king reluctantly gave in. Against Snow's (and his own) better judgement, he went down to the dungeon to see what this imposter wanted now.

"Well, I must admit." He said coolly as he entered the cold and dreary dungeon. Silence fell over the room. Only now that Charming was finally once again face to face with his older self would he give up. When the older Charming saw that his younger self was paying attention, he continued. "It's impressive that your magic has not worn off yet. You still look just like my younger self. It will wear off eventually, though, when we'll see who you truly are."

"It's not wearing off because I am who I say I am!" Charming barked. He was becoming agitated. Who knew how long he had to get Emma home before this became permanent? "I am you, but from a different…realm. You'll have heard of portals that transport you to different worlds. I'm from a different world. One with all the same people as here, but the Evil Queen won in our world and we were frozen in time for twenty eight years. I don't know what's going on here, but you have my Emma, my daughter. I need to bring her home." Charming begged his older self, but he could see he was still not trusted.

"We destroyed your magical weapons." His older self told him. "So you won't be escaping from here any time soon. My daughter has extra guards on post to keep her safe. She knows she's to stay well away from this area of the castle. You won't be hurting my princess." Charming banged the bars again in frustration.

"I don't know what's going on here, but you're not protecting Emma. You're going to end up harming her." Charming tried to warn his older self. "If you really love Emma like I do, you'll listen to me. Trust me, I know how you feel about her. She's your gravity. She keeps you on the ground even when you feel like you can't stand up. Even if you wanted to, you couldn't run away because she keeps you where you need to be. She's your light, she makes the days brighter. You'd do anything to protect her. Even risk an execution at the hands of your older self. Well I'm here and I'm risking it all for her and I'd do it all again if I had to because that's my daughter, not yours. This, this all isn't real. This whole world just came into being because the Evil Queen wished it so to trap Emma into the life she wanted. So please, let me bring her home. You'll know no different. I don't think any of you will exist any longer. But she will. She'll be home with the real Snow and me. Please, for Emma's sake. If you really love her like I do, you'll trust me and do what's right for her even if it means letting her go. Trust me, I know how difficult letting her go can be, but this is for her own good. I promise you, on my life, I will keep her safe. I will always keep her safe." Charming hoped his older self could see the seriousness in his eyes. Something certainly seemed to be making him pause and think the situation over. Charming held his breath, waiting. This was his only hope of getting his baby girl home.
