Knocked back- part 2

CharmingsDaughter asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2357 "Knocked back" where Emma tries to escape, but Charming catches her and is able to bring her back to the present day.

Just as a small point, if you want a fluffy daddy Charming story, ask me for it. I'm not a mind reader lol.

It took just a couple of hours for Emma to feel like she was no longer being watched. She ripped the IV from her arm and hopped out the bed, grabbing her backpack and taking her clothes out, quickly getting changed out of the hospital gown. Once she was ready, Emma calmly began to walk through the hospital. She knew if she moved too quickly, someone would suspect something. The one thing Emma hadn't counted on, was the weird couple from earlier sticking around.

"Emma?" Emma jumped at the sound of her name. She whipped her head round and sighed. It was the guy. The one who had forcibly picked her up and brought her back into the room. There was only one option, she was going to have to bolt. As fast as her legs would carry her, Emma began to run. She didn't even know where the exit was, but she was sure she would find it eventually. Lets see this big oaf catch her.

Emma wasn't expecting him to be as fit and nimble on his feet as he was. It took Charming only a couple of minutes to get hold of his daughter. Emma struggled, but Charming wasn't letting her go. Emma's head was spinning, she felt sick, but she still had to get out of here.

"Let me go!" Emma demanded. "You've got no right!"

"Emma, please, calm down. You need to go back to bed…"

"I don't need to do anything!" Emma defended herself. "This is a free country! You and your wife don't even know me. Just take your kids and go home." Emma ordered him. Charming frowned. If only he could just take his kids and go home. Snow was with the boys at the cafeteria, trying to coax Henry into eating. Knowing Emma was a flight risk, Charming had hung about to keep an eye. He was so grateful he did. "Listen, I don't know if you were involved in whatever landed me in here, but if you're worried I'll call the cops, don't. I don't exactly want to get involved with them. If you're holding out for insurance details, you're in for a long wait pal. Please, just let me go." Emma pleaded with him. Charming, of course, couldn't. Emma seemed trapped in her own mind. He didn't let her go. He pulled her closer, right into his arms. Emma struggled slightly, panicked. Who was this weirdo?! Charming kissed the top of her head, and a bright flash of light shot out from around them both. Emma gasped, her dizziness intensifying. Charming carefully pulled her back, still holding onto her shoulders.

"Dad?" Emma asked groggily. Charming smiled, relieved. He pulled her back into his arms, holding the back of her head.

"Yeah baby." He whispered. "I'm here." Charming could feel Emma leaning heavily against him. Charming carefully scooped Emma up into his arms. "Let's get you back to bed. I'll go let your mom and Henry know you're back."

"What happened?" Emma asked, her head throbbing. "I remember fighting with Hyde, and then…"

"Shh." Charming told her gently as he got her back to her room and onto the bed. "Don't worry about any of that just now. Just you sleep Em." Charming got Emma under the thin blanket. As he turned to leave to tell the others, Emma grabbed hold of his hand.

"Wait." She asked, panic stricken. "Please don't leave me." It broke Charming's heart to hear her sound so scared. He nodded, sitting down on the edge of her bed. He carefully moved a few strands of hair out of her face.

"Ok princess, don't worry." He said quietly. "I'm here." Emma nodded, her eyes slowly closing. Charming smiled, watching her fall asleep. He pulled his phone out to call Snow and let her know the good news. He couldn't leave Emma now, even though she was sleeping. Not when she needed him.
