A/N - So here is chapter 5. This is probably one of the shortest chapters but finally some action starts up. Now someone asked about Bell giving Eina the bandana. My thinking behind that was I wanted Bell to give Eina something and call back to when she gave him the bracer earlier in the show. That's it no other meaning except to call back to that and to spice up her armor.
At the top Babel tower, a certain goddess stood watching her little rabbit.
"Ah yes. Grow stronger my Bell. Show me what you are capable of." Freya, the goddess of beauty, spoke to herself about the one she had her eyes on. "Ottar, do you know why that woman has been around my Bell so much?" She turned to face the strongest swordsman in Orario and the captain of the Freya familia, Ottar also known as The King
"To my knowledge her name is Eina Tulle and she used to work as an advisor at the guild. For reasons I do not know about, she abruptly quit her position and joined the Hestia familia."
"Interesting." Freya said with a hint of curiosity in her eyes.
Down on the first floor of the dungeon, Bell and Eina had just encountered their first monsters. A kobold appeared, both Bell and Eina took their battle stances.
"Okay Eina can you do this?" Bell asked for the final time.
"Yes leave this to me." Eina said, strengthening her resolve to become an adventurer.
With great speed the kobold started to charge at the both of them. Eina rushed at the beast but in doing so lost her footing and slipped. The kobold jumped with its jaws open preparing to strike. Eina could only watch in terror. 'This is it. My first time in the dungeon and I'm gonna die.'
Bell jumped in to rescue the terrified half elf and quickly stabbed his knife into the kobold.
"Ah, thank you Bell. I'm sorry." Eina said with her ears drooping slightly.
"Eina you have to watch yourself. Everything down here is going to try and kill you. That's the reality of an adventurer."
"Your right. Well let's keep going. I'll be more careful this time."
The two moved on. Staying on the first few floors when they encountered not just a single monster but a group of four monsters.
"Eina, can you take the two on the left?"
"I'm pretty sure I can take them."
"Alright, lets go." Bell commanded as the duo charged at the monsters.
"FIREBOLT!" Bell cried aiming at a goblin setting it ablaze. He then ran to the kobold and stuck his knife right through its head, turning the monster to ash.
Eina took her short sword and slashed at a goblin cutting it in two. The other goblin jumped at her but once again standing her ground slashed at the monster killing it. 'I did it! I did it!' Eina celebrated in her mind.
"Look Bell! I was able to do it." Eina said excitedly looking at Bell.
"Good job Eina." Bell said with a smile and a thumbs up.
The duo proceeded down to the 4th floor of the dungeon taking care of any and all monsters that crossed their path. After a while they came to an intersection and down the pathway that led to the 5th floor came two adventurer's. It was Ais Wallenstein and Riveria Ljos Alf both belonging to the Loki familia.
"Eina? Is that you?" Riveria asked as soon as she saw the half elf.
"Riveria, it's good to see you again." Eina replied with a smile at the sight of her old friend.
"I heard you left the guild."
"Yes that is true. I left for some personal reasons and Bell here has trained me to become an adventurer." She waved her hand in his direction.
"Really? Well if you don't mind me asking, what made you come to this decision?"
A look of worry came on Eina's face. She looked over to Bell which he just gave her a comforting smile. She then told both Ais and Riveria the story of what happened on the 18th floor.
After Eina had told them what had happened Riveria had a look of understanding while Ais seemed to be impressed.
"And that's basically what happened. Ever since then Bell had been training me and this is actually the first time I've come to the dungeon."
Riveria responded. "Well this is your choice to make. Just be careful Eina." Riveria said obviously concerned for her friend as she put a hand on Eina's shoulder.
"Thank you Riveria. Stay safe."
"Same to you. Come on now Ais, we need to get back." Riveria commanded. Ais swiftly followed. She was however a little disappointed that she didn't get to see Bell in that fight but she could tell that he has grown a lot since the incident with the Apollo familia.
After the two Loki familia members left. Bell and Eina decided that they should probably start heading to the surface.
Back on the surface of Orario
"Well Eina. I think you did very well for your first time in the dungeon."
"Really? I mean I did mess up quite a lot."
"You did fine. Probably better than when I first started. How about we go out and celebrate?" Bell suggested.
"Sure. But where should we go." Eina questioned.
"I know this really good pub we can go to. It's called The Hostess of Fertility."
"Alright then lead the way." Eina said as she jokingly wrapped her arm with Bell's which made him start to blush. The two then proceeded through the twisting streets of the city making their way to the pub.
The two were greeted immediately as soon as they entered the pub. "Ah, welcome Bell. It's been a while since you've been here." Syr, a waitress with silver hair, ran towards the two adventurers.
"Hello Syr. Sorry I haven't been able to come by as often as I wanted."
"Don't worry. If you were busy you can't do much about it. By the way who's this?" Syr asked as she looked towards Eina.
"Hello, my name is Eina. I'm Bell's ex-advisor and he's training me to become an adventurer." She said with a smile.
"Oh Bell a teacher? That's something new. Well if you would follow me to your table."
Syr then led them to a table next to the wall of the pub. "I'll send out your drinks right away." Syr said as she happily walked away.
"Hey Bell, is it always this busy?" Eina questioned as she looked around the pub that was bursting with life.
"Yeah, well believe it or not this is actually slow for them."
Eina stared at Bell in amazement as another waitress walked towards them. "Mr. Cranel, it is good to see you again." Ryu, another waitress who is an elf with green hair, said as she placed some drinks down on the table.
"Ms. Ryu, it's good to see you again. How have you been?" Bell asked, happy to see the elf.
"I've been fine, thank you. From what Syr told me you must be Eina, correct?"
"Yes, pleased to meet you Ms. Ryu."
A voice called from the kitchen. "Hey Ryu can you come help me?" Ryu then quickly bowed and ran off to the kitchen.
Bell took a mug and raised it. "Congradulation's Eina on becoming an adventurer!" He said with a smile.
"Cheers!" Eina took up her mug and joined with Bell in their celebrations. After a few more drinks Bell came to realize that Eina really couldn't handle her alcohol well as she had quickly became very drunk.
Bell paid the bill for their small party and walked back over to the table where Eina was waiting. "Hey Eina, it's time to go, can you stand?"
Eina was slurring her words and Bell easily knew that she wasn't gonna be able to walk. He quickly led her out of the restaurant with her leaning on him and somehow got her on his back to carry her home.
She was in and out of sleep occasionally saying a mix of words some that Bell could understand and some that sounded like complete gibberish. Finally, after a walk that felt like forever they finally came up to Hearth manor.
Bell quietly opened the door and walked to Eina's room. He then set her down on the bed. Now was the hard part he had to try and attempt to take off her armor, as it wasn't exactly good to sleep in, especially since this was basically the first time Eina really wore armor.
Not wanting to see something he wasn't meant to, Bell quickly unbuckled the straps on Eina's breast plate and slid it off of her all while blushing and praying that she did not wake up. Not wanting to risk anything he decided to just take her breast plate off and leave the rest.
He then put the blanket over her and heard her mumble. "I love you Bell." Bell was basically as red as a tomato now but just quietly left and retreated to his room.
