Johnny and Gyro had been riding on their horses a few minutes, hours, days? Neither could tell, the heat was unbelievable and the two men couldn't make heads or tails of the time. The only things that kept them going were: retrieving the corpse parts and winning the Steel Ball Run. 'A one, two finish .' That's what Gyro kept saying other than those words silence.
Silence meant the two were alone with their thoughts to pass the time and neither felt like speaking. Both driven to win. Yet that silence would break, it was just a matter of time as to whom would break it first.
"Hey Gyro, how much longer do you think it will be until we reach Kansas?" Asked the young blond.
"At this rate around 2 days, probably." Stated Gyro, however mumbling that last word to himself, he wasn't too sure but had a good feeling.
"What did you say at the end ?" enquired Johnny raising his voice more and more with each word as curiosity turned to anger "We lost enough time-fighting, Dio, as it is!" he hissed.
Johnny was hungry, tired and couldn't tell where they were by looking at the surroundings.
