Her godmother

Rose asked for a oneshot of Red wanting to have some godmother/goddaughter bonding time with Emma so she ambushes Emma to hang out with her. I hope you don't mind me tweaking this so I can write it for you :).

"It's not nice to dodge her calls." Snow casually commented, blowing on her tea to cool it. Emma looked over at her mom, raising her eyebrow.

"I've seen you dodge calls from school, asking you to come back." Emma quipped. Snow gave little reaction to her daughter's remark.

"That's different." Snow said calmly. "That's not wanting to go back to work. This is you hiding away from your godmother wanting to spend some long overdue time with you." Emma sighed.

"I'm thirty years old." Emma grumbled. "I'm a little old for days out with candyfloss and trips to the cinema."

"Neither of which were on Red's many suggestions she's given you." Snow reminded her. Emma looked confused. "That's right, my best friend talks to me. I know all the offers she's given you. You're hurting her feelings, Em. Just like your dad and I were desperate to spend time with, get to know you, so is she. She was thrilled when she found out we were expecting you. Honoured when we asked her if she would be your godmother. She never got the chance to fulfil that role. She's trying to make up for it now. Please, humour her? She lost a chance to have a relationship with you too." Emma sighed.

"How do you always know how to pull on my heartstrings like that?" Emma complained. Snow smiled, sipping her drink.

"Mothers just know."
