Making herself clear

Just one of my own :). *season 6b spoilers!* I know we saw Snow having a conversation with Killian, this is just something I thought would be a little bit funny :P.

Killian didn't know why his heart was pounding as he rang the doorbell. He'd been to the loft apartment many times when Emma still lived there…that's what was different though. Emma didn't live there anymore. So why was Snow asking him to come to the apartment alone? Killian mentally shook himself. He was overthinking things. Snow liked him…didn't she? Surely if Charming was fine with him proposing to Emma, Snow would be too. Killian hoped. He forced himself to smile as Snow came and opened the door, little Neal in her arms.

"Killian." Snow said politely, too politely. She stepped aside, the door held open. "Come in."

"Thank you, milady." Killian croaked. He came inside the house. He began to head for the living room.

"Oh, would you mind sitting at the island? This little man is hungry and I need to fix him a snack."

"Not a problem. Do you want me to help?" He offered, wanting to do anything to please Snow right now."

"No thank you. You just take a seat." She said. Nervously, Killian walked over and sat down at one of the stools as Snow deposited Neal in his highchair.

"He was just beginning to get a little grizzly before you arrived. He can get quite upset when he's hungry." Snow said as she reached into the fruit bowl. "I don't like him being upset, a mother thing, you know?" Killian made a noise of agreement, confused.

"Charming wrote me a note to explain your good news. Congratulations."

"Thank you, milady. But she hasn't actually said yes yet." Killian pointed out, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck."

"Ah yes, I suppose she hasn't yet." Snow agreed. "But I'm sure she will. Emma loves you, it's plain to see. Now, I know David's spoken to you already…several times since Neverland…but I thought I'd have my own little chat with you. Not that we'll ever have any real reason to have stern words, I hope."

"No, milady. I love your daughter and I promise that I would never hurt her." Killian did his best to assure her. Snow nodded slowly in a way that made Killian even more nervous.

"I hope not." Snow said quietly. "Because, just like Neal, I don't like it when Emma's upset. Just like with Neal, I do whatever I can when my daughter's upset." Then, without warning, Snow suddenly plunged the fork into the banana she had selected for Neal's snack to begin to mash it. Killian fought the urge to cross his legs. "Whatever it takes, you get what I'm saying?" Snow asked. Killian nodded vigorously.

"Yes, milady." Killian assured her. "Perfectly." Snow smiled and brought the mashed banana over to Neal.

"Here we go, honey. Now that we've made our point."
