Snow's boy
A guest asked for a oneshot of Mama Snow and baby Neal fluff, just every day stuff (like going to the park and snuggles).
Guest (x3) and anonymous: you're all the same person. Please pick one prompt.
I have seen the latest episode!
Time seems to move differently, when you're a parent. It goes much faster than it has any right to. Neal…he was growing up so quickly. Sure, he was only a few months old, but I felt like I blinked and here we were. I worried what it would be like if this pace kept up. Soon he'd be walking, then talking, then starting school…no. Dear goodness no. It was far too much for my heart to take. I couldn't think like that, I shouldn't look too far into the future. Instead, I should focus on the here and now. On the wonderful day I'd had with my wonderful son. He might only be little, but he loved going to the park. He liked sitting in the little baby swing and going gently back and forth. It made him laugh, and that sound would always be precious to me. I did whatever I could to hear him laugh every day. It was like a drug to me. It gave me such a high.
Then we came home and I put on Mickey Mouse for him, a special treat. I didn't really let him watch a lot of TV. I preferred reading to him. I just felt such a close bond with him when I did. I couldn't wait until he was old enough for me to read him his father and I's story. That would be a special day for me. Right now, though, my little boy was all tuckered out from an adventurous day at the park. So together, we cuddled up under the blanket, and I delighted in hearing more of his giggles as we watched the antics of Mickey and the gang. The first episode had only just finished when I noticed Neal had nodded off against my chest. I smiled down, carefully stroking my finger against the soft skin of his cheek. My perfect little boy. After that, it wasn't long before I too was asleep. My favourite baby boy cuddled safely in my arms.
