After the fight

JohnnyGirl asked for a oneshot of *6x16 spoiler!* Snowing and Emma talking to Rumbelle and Gideon after the Black Fairy is taken care of. What do they all say to each other once the Black Fairy is no longer an issue?

Even though the fight was over, that didn't mean the dust had settled. There the two families stood, either side of Main Street. A clear divide between them still. Belle looked the most hurt. Everyone else still looked furious. Well, apart from Gideon. It was clear he didn't know where to look.

"Snow…"

"No." Snow stopped her. "The Black Fairy may be defeated, and luckily for you and your son, my daughter wasn't killed in the process, but that does not mean this is over for us." Snow warned her. Snow pointed an accusing finger at Rumplestiltskin. "He threatened her life. After your son tried to murder Emma, for the second time, and she tried to defend herself, your husband threatened her life. You may not have said anything, but you stood there and said nothing. That's just as bad to me."

"I was trying to protect my son!" Belle shouted defensively. She placed a hand on Gideon's shoulder. "Your daughter was dark once, or are your memories so short that you can't remember she nearly had me killed by a bear to scare Rumple?" Belle reminded the family.

"Merida was never going to kill you." Emma pointed out. "That was all a ploy. I knew even Rumplestiltskin wasn't such a coward that he would let you die. Your son, on the other hand, had every intention of killing me."

"Well when I was the one being threatened, how was I supposed to know it was all an act?" Belle snapped. "What does it matter now, anyway? It's over. The Black Fairy is gone. Gideon has no quarrel with Emma now. I'd like to think we can go back to being allies…" Charming scoffed. A likely story.

"Something funny about what my wife is saying?" Rumple warned Charming coolly. Charming wasn't scared of him. He gestured to the nasty gash on Emma's face. The awkward way she was holding one of her legs.

"Does it look like it's over to you?" He barked. "You think we'll just forget the damage you've done to our family? How you were both content to sit back and watch as your son potentially murdered our daughter as long as he didn't get hurt? Look at the mess she's in! Just because she didn't die today, don't think we are not holding your family accountable for the fact she got hurt. She hasn't even got her magic to heal herself. Who knows how long your mother has drained it for?" Charming spat at Rumple. He was standing in front of Emma, a protective arm behind him to shield her in case things got ugly. Snow was standing behind Emma, a comforting arm around her shoulders. "We don't want to fight with you, but that doesn't mean we're allies. It also doesn't mean that I will stop keeping an eye on your son. If I get even so much as the faintest idea that he's coming after Emma, or anyone else in my family, ever again, I will strike him down." Charming warned.

"Are you threatening my son?" Rumple asked menacingly. "Because that would be a big mistake, shepherd." Charming was unfazed by the taunt.

"I do whatever I have to when my kids need me." Charming warned the other family. He turned and looked at Emma and Snow. "Come on, we need to get you to the hospital." Snow began to steer Emma away. Charming gave one last furious look towards Rumple and Gideon. He meant what he had said. He would do whatever was necessary to protect his baby girl.
