Call and the Answer

The sky shone above them in a winter blue, the air chilled. Momo brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, and Jirou sat right beside her, smiling softly.

Jirou never really thought of having feelings for anyone; her job was to become one of the best Pro-Heroes out there. She had to just her Quirk to the best of her ability; there was no stopping it. She had to be on guard at all times, listen, ears open, or there was no telling what would happen.

However, she felt at peace whenever she was near Momo, such grace and heart, brighter than the sun. She could be herself with her fellow Pro-Hero. Jirou glanced at her – Momo still held the soft, contemplative look on her face.

Momo looked outward. These moments between her and Jirou were ones she could never forget, whether during training, in battle, or just being in the moment. Waves of emotion and determination, all emotions she had felt with Jirou. She knew she could count on the rest of Class 1-SA, but with Jirou, she knew.

Without thinking, Jirou let her head rest on Momo's shoulder. Her stomach somersaulted with joy when Momo rested her head on Jirou's, smiling, their hands threading together.

These moments were what made everything worthwhile.

(A/N: This was my first time writing for My Hero Academia, so forgive me if there are some character inconsistencies.)
