Asleep
Jade Star asked for a oneshot of *6x17 spoilers!* Snowing watching over everyone after they sacrificed themselves (they didn't wake up). They find videos from various people on Emma's cell. Snow is emotional over what their family and friends have done for them.
Guest: I'm not sure I'm following you.
Been doing a lot of thinking about my May Muses and I cannot wait to share with you guys all the surprises I have in store, eek! For now, I'll work my way through this request list, so happy it's full again! On that note, I just wanted to thank you all. You'll never know how much this story has helped me through darker times x
"Hey mom, hey dad…so…I know you're not going to like that we've done this. Well, if it didn't work, anyway. If it did, there's really no reason for you to be watching this video…" But it hadn't worked. There was every reason for Snow to be watching Emma's video. She'd already watched it several times over. "We had to do it, I hope you both can understand that. It was the only way to wake you both up. For me, that was a risk I was willing to take. It was torture seeing you not able to be together." A torture Snow and Charming knew only too well from both sides. First, they had been separated from each other. Now, they were separated from their daughter, as well as everyone else who took a small part of the sleeping curse. Including Henry.
"So neither of my moms are happy about me taking some of this, but we're a family. So if they're taking the risk, so am I. If it doesn't work, then you'll find a way to fix it. You always do. I love you guys." Henry's confident smile made Snow's heart ache. So far, they hadn't been able to fix this. She had watched these messages on loop several times over. When they did find a way to wake everyone up (and neither of them would stop until they did), Emma and Henry were both so grounded. No, Snow and Charming didn't care that Emma was a grown woman. She was grounded, end of. Snow could feel her eyes watering as she looked at Emma's phone screen. These messages had been how Snow and Charming found out what had happened to make them both wake up. Now here Snow was, perched on the end of her bed that Emma and Henry were both lying on. Their other friends scattered around their home. Snow stroked her hand down Emma's cheek.
"I wish you hadn't done this." Snow admitted. "It's our job to protect you, not the other way around. We're going to fix this though. Don't you worry…"
"Snow." Charming sighed as he came into the room. Snow put the phone down on the bedside table.
"I know." She responded. "I know watching them again won't help, but I can't help it. I miss their voices." Charming came and sat on the edge of the bed as well. Her rubbed soothing circles on Snow's back before gently kissing her.
"Me too." He admitted. "But it won't be for long. We will wake them up. All of them." He promised her. Snow rested her head against Charming's chest as she watched over Emma and Henry. Every second they were apart was killing them, both of them.
