"It hasn't gone unnoticed by the court that you won't call his Majesty by his name" Gareth advised. "You only call him 'Him,'" he stated.
"Yes" Bobby nodded.
"Why is that?" Gareth enquired.
"Because I don't like him," Bobby noted. "I would even go as far to say I hate him" he advised, which made his lawyer shake her head once more.
"And why is that?" Gareth pressed.
"He took the love of my life away!" Bobby stressed. "She is meant to be with me! Never him!" he snapped. "And he has the audacity to marry her in secret" he advised bitterly as he harshly pointed at the camera. "As if that will keep me and Mal from being together, I know how Mal really feels" he advised.
"Which is what Mr Bailey?" Gareth asked.
"She wants to be with me!" Bobby explained. "She loved the time we spent together" he advised smugly. "I know how she likes-" he started.
"Mr Bailey!" the Chief Justice snapped.
"I know her tastes in the bedroom" Bobby quickly decided. "I know that I am meant to be the only one for her," he insisted.
"What makes you think that?" Gareth replied.
"When you find your soul mate you know" Bobby said.
"I appreciate that," Gareth nodded. "But Mrs Adams states that his Majesty is her soul mate" he added.
"She would say that" Bobby sighed. "She wants security. "She wants to be safe" he chanted. "And that is why she is settling with him" he glared at the camera.
"Well unfortunately that is your opinion" Gareth answered which made Bobby's eyes quickly look over to him.
"Yes unfortunately" he muttered.
"I do get why you would think that you want to be with Mal, you obviously have great feelings for her" Gareth answered.
"I do!" Bobby stressed.
"But if she didn't reciprocate those feelings, why did you feel the need to pursue her?" Gareth questioned.
"Because I know she loves me" he advised, which made me shake my head at this. "You all saw who she reacted to me in that hotel room" he stressed.
"We will get to that in a moment" Gareth dismissed. "I want to talk about the catalyst of all this," he advised. "You contacted Mrs Adams around the first of July this year, didn't you?" he added.
"Yes" Bobby nodded. "I had to show her what she was missing" he winked at Gareth before his face dropped. "But he rang me!" he snapped.
"We will get to that in a moment" Gareth advised, obviously didn't want Bobby to get ahead of himself. "What did you send to Mrs Adams?" he asked.
"I sent her a dick pic" he replied smugly. "I knew she was missing it; so I reminded her what she was missing," he smirked.
"Did you send her anything else?" Gareth advised.
"Yes" Bobby repeated. "I sent her another text," he admitted.
"Saying what?" Gareth questioned.
"I bet you've been missing this," Bobby replied.
"And what was her reaction?" Gareth asked.
"Nothing," Bobby said. "Until the evening" he stated.
"Can you please tell the court what had happened?" Gareth requested.
"I was lying on my bed-" he began innocently. "Minding my own business" he directed towards the jury, which made me grimace at the fact he was now acting up for them. "When my phone rang-" he added. "My heart started to pound in my chest," he continued. "I thought that this was surely her showing me that I meant a great deal to her, however-" he said as his face dropped. "When I answered the phone he answered" he said. "When I called him, Ben!" he spat as he looked at the camera once more. "He corrected me by telling me to call him 'His Majesty" he advised as he did quotation marks in the air. "He then stated that he was ringing to tell me to back off; and that he thought my texts were distasteful" he finished bitterly.
"How did this make you feel?" Gareth asked.
"I couldn't believe that he had seen them!" Bobby exclaimed. "But I have heard that our King is very paranoid when it comes to Mal, he probably checks her phone" he added.
"That's not true!" Ben exclaimed.
"Ben don't fixate on that" I dismissed as I placed my head against his left shoulder. "You will get your say" I reminded him.
"Yes" Ben advised as he wrapped his left arm back around my waist as we looked back at the TV screen.
"What happened after that?" Gareth enquired.
"I then teased him by questioning whether he was scared in case I could turn her head-" he started to explain. "But he then told me smugly that no one can do that. I found myself losing my temper with him" he admitted. "I knew that I could turn her head, if I could only get a chance. A chance which I was led to believe that I was about to get in that hotel room" he finished solemnly.
"How did you lose your temper?" Gareth requested.
"I told him to keep telling himself that!" Bobby snapped back. "I told him that he was never going to be enough for her in the bedroom," he explained. "This seemed to strike a nerve with him" he grinned at this.
"How so?" Gareth directed him.
"He snapped at me," Bobby explained. "Don't!" he mimicked playfully. "Don't you dare!" he mocked.
"What happened after that?" Gareth pressed.
"I mocked him!" Bobby snapped back. "I questioned whether he liked the fact that I had knowledge about Mal that he obviously didn't!" he advised as he balled his fists up again. "He then went-" he started. "That is enough!" he snapped. "Back off Bobby!" he mocked again. "You had your chance with Mal and you blew it. She chose me, remember that!" he added harshly. "And with that he quickly ended the call" he finished.
"How did that make you feel?" Gareth asked.
"Well I was annoyed with him," he confessed. "He thinks he is the right person for Mal," he advised. "And he isn't!" he snapped. "He never will be!" he stressed and I watched as something snapped within him as he spun around and glared at the camera. "I am!" he snapped. "And you know it Mal!" he shouted as he pointed at the camera. "You both know it!" he accused. "And if I ever-" he began. "EVER!" he shouted. "Get the chance again Mal" he warned me. "You know that I will make you mine!" he promised darkly which made every member of the jury's faces drop. "I promise you that," he vowed. "You are mine Mal!" he snarled. "Something you are never-" he continued darkly. "EVER!" he shouted again. "Going to be able to get away from that! You belong to me!" he shouted. "So quit this game you are playing; and return to me!" he barked at the camera. "And I will learn to forgive you; but I will not ask again!" he warned me which made me shake my head at this. Was he actually serious? He thought that I would just go back to him! I didn't want anything more to do with him! I loved Ben! And he was going to have to come to learn to live with this! "You know what you need to do, Mal," he insisted. "Please?" he begged as he gazed at the camera hopefully as he started to visually calm down.
"He is deluded!" I snapped.
"Yeah" I heard Ben say. "Yeah he is" He added and the room fell into silence as we both took in what Bobby had just said. However before I could fixate upon what had said too much I quickly pushed it away; it wouldn't do any good for me to fixate upon it. I just hoped that his most recent outburst was going to show the jury that he was guilty! They needed to see that he was guilty! The amount of evidence against the whole accused party was so overwhelming that I hoped that they saw through the façade that some of them were trying to put on. But I knew that I was going to have to be patient, a virtue that I was struggling with at this moment in time.
The conversation then moved on to what happened after Ben rang Bobby; and I sat and listened to Bobby's version of events which made me so angry. He claimed that he could tell in the tone of my voice that I was being pressured to put on a brave front. But Bobby stated that he could see through it; he said that as he 'knew' me well enough he knew that I was trying to send him a message - one which he received loud and clear which made him attempt to rescue me.
Thankfully Gareth had both phone recordings and he played them both for the court; which I was very grateful for. I needed the jury to see that there was no 'subliminal message' that I was trying to send to Bobby. And as I watched the jury's faces I could tell that most of them believed the evidence that Gareth was putting forward. However I could tell that around five of the twelve people didn't show any emotion in their faces and I had mixed feelings on that. First of all I wondered whether it was because they were trying to remain impartial, keep their feelings known until they had heard and seen all of the evidence. Or in fact were they actually believing the story that Bobby was trying to throw at them - well I hoped for Ben and our baby's sake, that this wasn't the case.
