Author trance
Effervescent Dreamer asked for a oneshot of *6b spoilers!* Emma stumbling in on Henry during one of his prolonged Author states.
"Sorry kid, I know you're studying. I'll be out of your hair in a second…woh kid." Only when Emma actually stopped and looked did she notice that something was up with Henry. He was tightly clutching a pen and had one of his school jotters open. He was writing quicker than it was possible for an ordinary person to write. Emma came over. She didn't even look at the pages of writing Henry had been doing. That could wait. He was clearly in some kind of trance. His eyes were glazed over. Even when Emma waved her hand write in front of him, nothing. "Kid." Emma tried again, gently shaking his shoulder. Still nothing. It was like he didn't notice she was there at all. "Henry!" Emma shouted. This seemed to do the trick. Henry's eyes returned to normal. He dropped the pen and pad on the floor, shocked. He looked up to see his mom.
"What's going on?" He asked, still dazed. "When did you get here?"
"I came a couple of minutes ago, kid. I saw you writing something…" Emma picked up the jotter and glanced through the pages. It looked like a lot of gibberish to her. "What is this, Henry?" Emma asked him. Henry glanced over her shoulder and sighed.
"I don't know." He told her. "It's not the first time, though. It happened a couple of days ago. Isaac said it was something to do with the final battle…"
"Isaac?" Emma asked. Henry explained what he and his other mom had been up to. Emma could see how worried her son was. She wrapped an arm around him. "You don't need to worry, kid. I'm going to win this final battle. I've got too much to lose." She assured him. Henry was quiet. He just didn't know if he could be so hopeful about the final battle like she was.
