WAR OF THE DRAGONS

AEGON

Aegon screams in excitement astride his Dragon Rhaegilla a combination of his father and mothers' names. They climb high into the sky and then into a steep dive. As they dive Jon Connington and Mopatis waves to him from the beach. The Dragon Aegys is sleeping and the Dragon Rhaenor is feeding.

When Aegon lands Rhaegilla flies off to go hunting, "Jon, Magister do you have news?"

"The golden company has agreed to meet with us."

"When?"

"Their leader Lord Commander Harry Strickland will meet with us in three days."

The three days feel like three months to Aegon. He tries to kill time, but no matter what he does the days do not pass by fast enough for his liking. On the third day at high noon a ship called the Golden Wave arrives on Mopatis Island. Aegon waits with Mopatis, Melisandre, and Jon as Harry Strickland the Lord Commander of the Golden Company arrives with his second in command Kane Thadius.

"Thank you for coming." Mopatis says in the solar. "We understand that your recent contract with Myr has ended and we would like to hire you to fight for Aegon Targaryen…The rightful King of Westeros."

"Who in Westeros backs him?" Kane asks.

I have three Dragons!" Aegon replies.

"A good advantage in war. Any spoils taken from the battlefield is ours." Kane says.

"Your men will not rape any of the smallfolk nor will they steal their valuables."

"Where will we land our troops?"

Jon places a marker on the map, "We should land our troops near Duskendale and take King's Landing by surprise."

"It won't be a surprise…They will know we are coming." Aegon says speaking up. How long before your army is ready to sail?" He asks looking at Strickland.

"One week to get the proper provisions three days to load the provisions and then we can set sail."

KING'S LANDING

JAEHAERYS

Instead of allowing the invaders to cross the sea Aemon suggested to Jae that they cross the sea and attack the Golden Company. So with their Dragons and an army of twenty thousand men. He decides to leave Aemon in charge while away. The fleet is ready to sail three days before Aegon meets with Harry Strickland.

The army is made up of half the Dragon army and half from Houses all over Westeros. Mainly Houses Stark, Tully, and Arryn. Tytus remains in Westeros with his Dragon to discourage treachery, while Daenarys accompanies Jae across the sea. To save time they sail out of Storm's End to meet the Golden Company before they can set sail.

Viserys and Shiera accompany Jae as well. They reach the Sea of Mryth in five days. Another three days to land their army a mile south of Myr. As the army unloads Jae and Dany fly their Dragons North and circle the city from above. The Golden Company is encamped outside the city. Before flying back south Jae fires an arrow with a message into the Golden Company's camp.

Three days later Jaehaerys and Daenarys fly out on their Dragons to meet Aegon. "So you are the pretender who claims to be a son of Prince Rhaegar." Aegon says.

"I am thee son of Prince Rhaegar and Lyanna Stark…The only pretender here is you and I will prove it. That ring you wear…take it off and see the lies your real father Mopatis and that fanatic Melisandre told you."

"Do not listen to him my King." Melisandre says.

Jae looks at Jon, "Jon Connington. You and my father were close friends. Ask yourself…would his wife Elia allow her son to be saved and not her daughter? Mopatis lied to you!"

"I am Princess Daenaerys Targaryen! Daughter of Aerys and Rhaella Targaryen. If Jae were false would I ride with him?"

"Both of you are false! Assuming the identity of my kinsmen."

Jae sighs, "I grow weary of this…Let us fight you and I in single combat…If you win the Iron Throne is yours…When you lie dead I will burn your corpse and throw the ashes in a dung heap."

"I have three Dragons…I only see two with you."

Jae's eyes turn white and he wargs the two riderless Dragons, "Count again!" They resist at first, then Aegys and Rhaenor succumb to Jae's power and leave Aegon's side.

"Aegys! Rhaenor!" He is ignored. Aegon pulls out the Dragon horn and as he does Jae points his hand at the sword. The glyphs in the horn glow red, then they turn blue and the horn shatters. Aegon stares him in anger.

"I am the Prince that was Promised, born of fire and ice. You need a horn to rule these Dragons…I do not."

"It is true." Jon Connington says. "The Prince born of fire and ice. As Rhaegar said." Jon climbs down from the Dragon. "My Prince! My King!"

"TRAITOR! DRACARYS!" Aegon commands. Flames leap from Rhaegilla's maw, but Jae points his hand and the flames curve up into the air. Shocked by the display of power, Aegon throws his sword into Jon's back killing him.

"You killed my father's friend! Now you die!" Jaeharys draws his sword and it bursts into a blue flame. He points the flaming sword at Aegon and Melisandre. A stream of flame leaps at them, but instead of burning they freeze and fall from Rhaegilla's back shattering. Rhaegilla sniffs the icy shard remains of his rider and the red woman. Then she looks at Jae growling. Rhaegon and the other Dragons growl back, as Jae's eyes turn white.

"FLY!" Jae commands to all four Dragons, with Dany following on Viserion. They fly North towards the Golden Company and the city of Myr. Jae signals Dany and she flies out over the harbor and the docked fleet. "Dracarys!" All four Dragons unleash a fire storm on the Golden Company. Men, horses, Elephants, and tents go up in flames.

In a matter of minutes the Golden Company is reduced to a smoking ashy ruin. Then Jaehaerys has Rhaegon blow a hole in the wall of Myr. Then he signals his forces to attack. After several hours of fighting the city is under the rule of House Targaryen. After resting two days Jae performs a blood ritual that will bind Rhaegilla to Viserys and Aegys to Shiera.

Jaehaerys interlocks arms with Viserys, "Myr is yours Uncle."

"The first of many conquests." He replies. Viserys remains in Myr with Dany to aid him as restores order and makes plans to conquer the Free City of Pentos. Instead of killing Mopatis right out, he will be used to get into the city. Mopatis was in the city when the Dragons attacked the Golden Company.
