Next to question Ben was Chad's lawyer, Brandon, and he decided to use a different tact. He decided to question Ben on his relationship with Chad since birth. I found this a little underhanded as the fact that they have known each other since they were babies had nothing to do with the fact that Chad was involved in a plot that could have killed Ben. But I could see what Brandon was trying to do; he was trying to get the jury to see that Ben and Chad had a good relationship prior to this event; and he hoped that this would get the jury to see that Chad wasn't such a bad guy after all.

Brandon then moved on to how I had affected Ben and Chad's relationship, which in my opinion was a bit underhanded. Yes me and Ben both had stressful situations when it came to Chad but it was nothing to do with me or Ben - it was always Chad. Chad tried to turn my head from Ben and it never worked. In anything it just caused arguments between the three of us, but the last time we argued was at the start of mine and Ben's second relationship. So what I didn't understand was why he would want to get involved in this at all.

Ben then told the court that Chad always knew that I was a bit of a sore point when it came to Ben. He added that Chad had attempted to try and take me away from him; but it never worked because I loved him. Brandon asked Ben how did this make him feel; and Ben told the court that this did anger him and even betrayed. When Ben said this I knew that the full courtroom couldn't help but note at how ashamed and embarrassed Chad looked.

Brandon then asked Ben what his feelings were on Chad's involvement in this plot and Ben stated that he was very hurt and disappointed in Chad. He treated Chad like a brother; and he never thought in his wildest dreams that he would have been capable of this. Ben then added that he didn't know whether he would be able to forgive Chad - which looked like it killed Chad to hear Ben say this.

We all then watched as Kendal's lawyer, Malcolm stood up as Brandon took back to his seat and I really didn't know how to feel about the questioning that Ben was about to receive. I knew that he was going to be questioned about what happened in my walk-in-wardrobe - even though I didn't know how this was going to defend Kendal in any way.

Malcolm started by questioning Ben how he felt Kendal was as an employee; which to Ben answering that he was a good employee at the start of his employment. However, this changed when his obsession with me started. Malcolm then questioned whether Ben knew about Kendal's obsession with me. Ben said that he knew that Kendal seemed very interested in me but both me and Ben didn't appreciate how bad it was until the situation that terminated his employment.

Malcolm then questioned how this made Ben feel and Ben pursed his lips together and answered:

"How would you feel if you found someone doing that to your wife? Of course no one would like it, yes Mal wasn't my wife at the time. But she is my world, she always has been, even though we have had an extended time apart. But I have always loved her, and I always will"

Malcolm then asked Ben whether he thought he had been took quick to act when he terminated Kendal's employment. Ben quickly answered no, Kendal's behaviour was inappropriate and he couldn't work at Auradon Castle after what he had done. When I heard Ben say this I couldn't help but note that a couple of the jury members nodded in agreement with this, which started to make me feel better about this whole trial - maybe things were on our side after all.

Malcolm then asked Ben whether he knew about Kendal's mental health problems and Ben answered no. As Kendal hadn't made it known to himself or the chief of security. Malcolm then stated that didn't that mean that he had been negligent towards Kendal and his mental health problems. Ben then quickly answered by saying that he didn't believe so, as it wasn't his business to snoop in his employees private lives. Malcolm then asked would it have changed anything if Kendal had made him known of his mental health problems, Ben replied by saying that it wouldn't have stopped him being employed. But due to what happened in the walk-in-wardrobe couldn't have been excused. It was at this point when Malcolm then nodded at this and told the court that he had no further questions before sitting down. This line of questioning actually confused me - I really didn't know how this was meant to be a defence. If anything it was just Malcolm trying to pick faults with Ben, something of which I thought was very, very underhanded.

We all then watched as Bruce stood up and he slowly looked over to the TV screen and he nodded to himself, and this made my stomach start to flutter - as I didn't like the solemn look on his face.

Bruce didn't hold back any punches as he asked how his feelings were towards Samuel were, as he did tell Bobby to not be as rough with him. Ben simply answered that he was grateful for that, but only marginally as he was still tortured nevertheless.

Bruce then questioned whether he could believe the statement that Samuel stated that it was a lapse in judgement that he was involved in this scheme. Ben replied by saying that he would like to believe that but even a lapse in judgement doesn't excuse involvement in such a heinous crime. Bruce simply nodded and looked down for a few seconds before he looked up at Chief Justice Williams. He then told him that he had no further questions as everything else he wanted to cover had already been covered by the other legal representatives in this case. The courtroom fell into silence as he sat back down, I couldn't believe that he had been so quick with his questioning with Ben. Which I was glad for, but I didn't know whether I was going to be afforded the same luxury.

Before I knew it Paul's lawyer, Margaret, and Stephen's lawyer, David had both finished their questioning of Ben. And to be honest it was very similar to each other with both granted the same answers from Ben. They each asked Ben on his feelings on both Paul and Samuel's involvement in this scheme, to which Ben said the following:

"I wished they hadn't been involved. Heck! I wished that this scheme didn't even exist in the first place. The consequences of this scheme could have been devastating, and that still weighs very heavy on my heart"

Both Margaret and David both ended their questioning by stating that they believe that everything that has been covered so they rest their case at this time. As I watched as David took to his seat my stomach continued to burn. This was it! It was my turn to enter the fray, and I knew that I wasn't going to go sown without a fight. The six members of the accused family tried to destroy me and my husband, and this was something that I could never ever forgive them for; and I just hope that the evidence that I was about to give would help our cause greatly.
