Before I knew it me and Ben were sitting back in our room in the courthouse and everyone had been sworn in. It was now time for the final witnesses to give their evidence - Carlos and the police IT team. I had mixed feelings about the evidence that was about to be given, of course the evidence that was about to provide was going to only make our case stronger and it meant that the trial was coming to an end. But what I didn't like was the fact it was getting my little brother involved in this mess; me and Ben did tell Carlos that he didn't have to give evidence if he didn't want to, as the police testimony would be enough but Carlos dismissed this. He wanted to be involved. He wanted to make sure that the court knew of his involvement and what he had found on Kendal's computer. After he told me and Ben this we didn't question him any further, if he wanted to be involved then this was his decision - and we weren't going to go against it.

I watched as Carlos then took to the stand, and as he was being sworn in I couldn't help but note at how nervous he looked. I knew that he wanted to help me and Ben and he was scared in case he said anything wrong. However I didn't know how this was going to be the case; all he had to do was tell the court what he found on Kendal's computer when he worked with the police IT team. He couldn't say anything out of sorts that would hinder the trial, this was the truth. My only worry was when the defence would question him, given the treatment that I had just received.

Gareth told me and Ben this morning before the trial reopened that he expected Carlos's and the police's evidence not to last very long. This would then lead to closing statements to be given before Chief Justice Williams gave his instructions. I asked what would happen after that and Gareth explained that then it would be a waiting game as the jury deliberated, and he didn't know how long this would take - to my dismay.

Gareth questioned Carlos on how he got involved and Carlos told him clearly that after Kendal was taken into police custody he offered to help the police IT team. Carlos did admit that the police at first didn't want his help but I stepped in and told them that I wanted him to help. I watched as Malcolm's face lit up and this - Lucifer only knows how he was about to use this information against Carlos.

Gareth then asked Carlos what he and Simon (the police IT specialist) found on Kendal's laptop, and Carlos detailed everything from emails, photos and plans that were sent to and from Kendal to Bobby. It was at this point when Gareth said that he had no further questions and he took to his seat, leaving only the defence to question Carlos. It was at this point when we were told that the only defence lawyer that was going to cross examine Carlos would be Kendal's lawyer, Malcolm, as this evidence was solely to do with his client,

Malcolm was quick to repeat back what Carlos had said about me asking Carlos to be involved, which made me sigh. I knew that this statement was probably going to prick his interest, especially as I was involved. He questioned Carlos as to why I would make such a demand, and to Carlos replied:

"Mal is my sister, I would do anything for her. Or any member of my family in fact. At the time of her asking me to help she was very distressed. I think it comforted her knowing that I was involved"

Malcolm then played his trump card by asking whether Carlos had planted the evidence into the laptop. We all heard gasps in the courtroom as me and Ben grimaced at this. I really couldn't believe that they would even suggest that! Why on Auradon would Carlos be linked to such a thing! Carlos however kept cool and denied this claim stating that he hadn't done it. He never would have done it, and even if he wanted to do it he didn't have any opportunity as Simon was with him the whole time. It was at this point in which Malcolm told the court that there were no further questions and he took to his seat, looking very much defeated.

We then watched as Simon swapped places with Carlos and as Carlos took to his seat I couldn't help but notice Jay wrapping his right arm around Carlos's shoulder. I hated how this was also affecting my family, but I knew that as we had each other we would be able to get through it.

We watched as Gareth first then Malcolm both asked Simon the same questions that they had just asked Carlos. And Simon confirmed that everything that Carlos had just explained to the court. Simon even stated that there was no way Carlos could have planted any evidence as everything has a timestamp and it would have been easily found.

When Simon made his way back to his seat Gareth and the defence lawyers then told the court that there were no more witnesses or evidence as everything has been covered in the trial already. When I heard this I couldn't help but take a couple of deep breaths to steady myself, we had done everything that we could, and now it was now in the hands of the jury. This made me feel nervous at the fact that there was nothing more that we could do, but I had to put my faith in the members of the jury and hope that they saw the truth in this case. So only time would tell on whether we were going to get the justice that we deserved.
