Me and Ben decided that we wanted to be in the courtroom for the verdict; yes it felt strange to finally enter the room - but me and Ben wanted to see this through.
As we took to our seats I couldn't help but note that Bobby quickly looked over to me and when his eyes landed on me I saw his eyes light up. I threw him a dark look before I looked towards Chief Justice Williams and squeezed Ben's hand.
"I hate the fact that we are in this room" Ben muttered.
"Do you want to go to the other room?" I offered, if Ben wanted to leave then I would quickly follow him. Yes I wanted to see justice but Ben's well being mattered more to me.
"And for them to think that they has won?" He asked rhetorically. "Never!" He exclaimed.
"Ok" I nodded.
"Would the foreperson please stand?" Chief Justice Williams questioned, which made me and Ben look over to the jury to see a thin, petite blonde haired and green eyes woman standing up. "Have you all come to a decision that you all have agreed upon?" He questioned.
"Yes your honour" she answered.
"Could you please pass the clerk your paperwork so I can read it out for the court?" The Chief Justice requested.
"Yes" she answered as the clerk stepped forward and she handed over the large light brown envelope before sitting down in her seat. We all then watched as the clerk walked towards the Chief Justice's desk before she handed over the envelope, before she also took to her seat.
"Now I need to make something clear to the court-" Chief Justice Williams advised as he looked around the room. "I am about to read this," he added as he held up the envelope. "Then the twelve members of the jury are going to be asked to confirm their verdict," he added. "I will then be asking the jury to leave quietly and directed by the deputies" he further explained. "If you believe that you are going to not be able to keep calm and quiet while I do this I am giving you this opportunity now to leave. As I will not allow anyone to disrupt my court" he warned us all. "Is that understood?" He questioned and we all nodded at this.
"Very well" he nodded as he opened the envelope. "Could the accused please stand?" He called and we watched as they all stood up, with nervous looking faces.
"On count one of conspiracy to commit kidnap-'' he started which made my mouth do suddenly dry as Ben froze next to me."We the twelve members of the jury do find the accused party, who consists of Mr Bobby Bailey, Prince Chad Charming of Charmington and Cinderellasberg, Mr Kendal Kingston, Mr Samuel Smith, Mr Paul Peterson and Mr Stephen Sadler guilty of this count" Chief Justice announced and I watched as the accused party's faces all went blank at this. Ben however took a deep breath in next to me which made me wrap my right arm around his shoulders and pull him towards me so his head was now rested against mine.
"On count two of false imprisonment-" the Chief Justice Williams called. "We the twelve members of the jury do find the accused party, who consists of Mr Bobby Bailey, Prince Chad Charming of Charmington and Cinderellasberg, Mr Kendal Kingston, Mr Samuel Smith, Mr Paul Peterson and Mr Stephen Sadler guilty of this count" he repeated; and I watched as Bobby shook his head at this.
"On count three of conspiracy to cause wounding" the Chief Justice continued. "We the twelve members of the jury do find the accused party, who consists of Mr Bobby Bailey, Prince Chad Charming of Charmington and Cinderellasberg, Mr Kendal Kingston, Mr Samuel Smith, Mr Paul Peterson and Mr Stephen Sadler guilty of this count" Chief Justice announced and I felt Ben slid his head down to the side so his face was now concealed away from the world.
"On court four of grievous bodily harm- the Chief Justice added. "We the twelve members of the jury do find the accused party, who consists of Mr Bobby Bailey, Prince Chad Charming of Charmington and Cinderellasberg, Mr Kendal Kingston, Mr Samuel Smith, Mr Paul Peterson and Mr Stephen Sadler guilty of this count" he advised and I felt Ben sob against me before I felt cold tears against my neck which made me tighten my arms around him before pressing a kiss against the top of his head.
"It's ok Ben" I muttered. "Everything is going to be ok" I told him as I kept my face blank as I knew the press was currently recording and taking photos of our reaction to the verdicts.
"On count five of conspiracy to commit rape" Chief Justice Williams continued which made me take a deep breath in as Ben slightly cried against me. "We the twelve members of the jury do find the accused party, who consists of Mr Bobby Bailey, Prince Chad Charming of Charmington and Cinderellasberg, Mr Kendal Kingston, Mr Samuel Smith, Mr Paul Peterson and Mr Stephen Sadler guilty of this count" he announced and I groaned quietly in relief. But before I could concentrate on this any further the Chief Justice continued, obviously wanting to try and be quick with the verdict.
"On count six of conspiracy to commit blackmail-'' he called. "We the twelve members of the jury do find the accused party, who consists of Mr Bobby Bailey, Prince Chad Charming of Charmington and Cinderellasberg, Mr Kendal Kingston, Mr Samuel Smith, Mr Paul Peterson and Mr Stephen Sadler guilty of this count" he stated and I felt a flutter in my stomach. There was only one count left, the worst one! But even if they were found not guilty on this charge - they had been found guilty enough to be convicted.
"Finally on count seven of attempted murder-" Chief Justice called for the last time. "We the twelve members of the jury do find the accused party, who consists of Mr Bobby Bailey, Prince Chad Charming of Charmington and Cinderellasberg, Mr Kendal Kingston, Mr Samuel Smith, Mr Paul Peterson and Mr Stephen Sadler guilty of this count" he announced and the crowd erupted into cheers from our friends and family and screams and crying from the accused party's friends and families as me and Ben silently sat there. I watched as the Chief Justice looked at us all and the cheering and screams all quickly stopped; but muffled crying still echoed around the room.
"It has also been agreed that due to Mrs Bailey's and Mr Kingston's pleas have been discarded" the Chief Justice explained as me and Ben's arms tightened around each other as Bobby's and Kendal's faces all dropped. "The members of the jury feel that their pleas should be changed to guilty, as the prosecution has proved successfully that this wasn't just down to a lapse in mental capacity" the Chief Justice explained. I couldn't help but sigh in relief; he had done it! Now all that was left was for sentencing; and I didn't really know what to expect on what was about to happen next.
