"Ladies and Gentlemen-" the Chief Justice started. "Over this trial you have heard and seen a collection of evidence and witness testimony on what happened to His Majesty and his wife, Mrs Mal Adams" he added. "The information in this case is sensitive; so I stress that it should not be shared out of this room until His Majesty and his wife have done a press release. Which I believe is going to be on their departure, if not then in the next coming days" he advised as he looked up at me and Ben. "I think you can see why I would ask this of you-" he began. "This situation has been stressful enough for His Majesty and his wife, without this being spread before they can tell the Kingdom themselves" he stressed.
"I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to His Majesty and Mrs Adams" he offered with a meek smile. "At the fact that the pair of you have had to go through this" he continued sympathetically. "I just hope that this will finally give you both some closure" he added. "I also hope that this trial will send a message to everyone stating that the justice system in Auradon will not and never will be taken as a joke as it has been taken in this case" he advised sternly as he looked over to the accused party. "I think that it is time to release you all from this case" he advised. "Thank you all for being supportive, respectful throughout this case, you all now all excused" he finished.
"All stand!" a guard called and the whole room stood up. We all then watched as Chief Justice Williams stood up, looked quickly around the room before quickly turning and leaving to his private office behind the courtroom.
"There it's finally over" I heard Adam say.
"Yeah" I heard Ben mutter as I looked up at my husband. "I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders" he admitted with a meek smile.
"Me too" I agreed. "At least now we can just go on and live our lives now" I offered.
"Of course my beautiful wife" Ben replied as we all started to walk out of the courtroom. "But first-" he started. "We have a press release to do" he explained as he slid his right hand into my left.
"Ok" I nodded as I let him lead me from the courtroom. We then walked through the main hall and to outside to the top of the stairs where the press were waiting for Ben to make his statement to the Kingdom. I then stood as I listened to Ben tell the press about what had just happened in the trial briefly; when they started to question Ben further on this Ben quickly and politely excused us both before we started to walk towards our limousine. We then climbed into the limousine and waited for our family to join us; after the door closed behind them all and the car pulled away I snuggled into Ben's chest and my mind started to think about what had just happened. I knew that me and Ben were never going to have a quiet life but hopefully now that the trial was over we could all start to move away from it. This trial and situation had caused a lot of mental anguish for everyone involved and I know that we would get through this together. My life with Ben and our baby could start properly now; and I couldn't wait to see where life was going to take the three of us next.
