** I don't own these characters, I just a fan who wants to tell a story**
"I'm home." Jamie called out.
"Welcome home!" Eddie greeted from the nest she had made on the couch. She had snacks and water.
"What are you up to?" Jamie asked.
"Writing."
"Finally got over writer's block?"
"No, couldn't overcome that. I just had a completely new idea." Eddie answered.
"Really? What's this one about?" Jamie questioned.
"You and I." Eddie replied.
"Us?" Jamie said in disbelief.
"Well, kind of. The characters are based on us. It's a story about two cop partners who sleep together, she gets pregnant, then they fall in love." Eddie explained.
"I see where you are pulling the inspiration. For a second I thought you might be writing an expose on the Reagan family." Jamie said sitting down next to Eddie on the couch.
"I would never!" Eddie said in mock horror.
"I'm glad you found something to keep you busy."
"How about you, how was coffee with Sydney?" Eddie questioned.
"It was...I really don't remember what I saw in her to be honest." Jamie answered.
"So didn't go well?"
"No, it went fine. I just didn't want to be there. I would have much rather been here with you. " Jamie answered. "Something I did realize. I am not willing to give up the NYPD. Talking to Sydney, it just reminded me why I decided to join the NYPD. I'm not sure how, but I'm not giving up yet."
"Okay." Eddie said. "Where do you start?"
"Getting a second opinion." Jamie answered. "I have no idea how I'm gonna pay for it, but I'm not ready to give up."
"We are in this together. I'll be there with you every step of the way." Eddie promised.
"I know that." He said taking her hand and squeezing it.
Eddie groaned. "Your children have been moving like crazy all day! I just want them to stop." Eddie sighed.
"Why when they've been good, they are you kids but when they bother you they are mine?" Jamie questioned.
"Because." Eddie said.
"Oh, I forgot to ask you when we got home last night," Jamie started, "What are our plans for Thanksgiving?"
"When's Thanksgiving?" Eddie asked.
"Next week."
"WHAT!" Eddie exclaimed. "It's snuck up on me. I haven't thought about it."
"Dad brought it up to me. Thanksgiving is always a really big thing at our house but he wanted to let me know that it was okay if we decided to do something with your family." Jamie explained.
"Oh my family doesn't do anything. We haven't since Dad went to prison." Eddie explained.
"So you don't mind if we spend it with my family?"
"No, not at all."
"Then that's settled."
Jamie sat at the table researching physical therapists in New York City, Eddie lay fast asleep on the couch. There was a knock on the door. Jamie sighed, he wasn't expecting anyone and as far as he knew neither was Eddie. He looked through the peephole and saw Sydney was on the other side.
"What the hell." He sighed. " Why was she here?"
"Sydney what are you doing here?" Jamie asked when he opened the door.
"We need to talk." Sydney exclaimed.
"About what?"
"About Eddie,"
"What about Eddie"
"She's not the person you think she is."
Day 9
Chapter 9 of 12 Chapters of Christmas.
Hey guys!
So this chapter is really short and I'm sorry but I didn't have time to write more. Life happened then a migraine happened and starring a screen hurt like hell. I managed to get all the ideas out though. I promise tomorrow's chapter will be longer...hopefully if I manage to feel better. Also, for Sydney dislikers, I promise she is going to be gone very very soon. Also massive thanks to dancikowgirl for editing this chapter she truly is great. I forgot to mention she helped me out with yesterday's chapter.
Love you guys! I've loved your feed back it really means the world to me :)
