This chapter was interesting to write. Basically, I was determined to get a chapter out for today, but we had a power outage, so I ended up writing it down on paper by hand, in the middle of the night. It was an interesting experience having to write it down beforehand and I think it shows. I hope that you'll enjoy the chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own My Hero Academia or any of the characters.

"Come on, Midoriya, just tell us the truth, you're totally dating Jiro, aren't you?" Kirishima questioned.

Midoriya had been denying the idea that he was in a relationship.

"Yeah, first there was that whole deal with you meeting her mother and now the two of you are close enough to be cuddling on the couch, so either the two of you are the closest friends here or you're just in denial." Sero pointed out.

Midoriya thought about the facts that Sero had brought up.

"It is true, we've gotten to know each other better, arguably more than we have with anyone else in our class, but at the same time it's only a result of why I approached Kyoka in the first place and my tendency to care for the well being of others." Midoriya thought.

"I'm just surprised that you picked Jiro." Mineta said.

Midoriya did his best to suppress his glare, knowing that he would be angry as soon as Mineta started talking about her.

"What do you mean?" Midoriya asked.

"You've got gorgeous girls like Uraraka and Tsu going after you and yet you pick someone who looks like Jiro." Mineta stated.

Within a second, Mineta was being held up by his collar, which was being grasped in Midoriya's shaking hand.

Midoriya scowled at Mineta, unintentionally activating his quirk.

"If you say one more bad thing about Kyoka, I will not hesitate to make sure that you never say another word." Midoriya threatened.

The rest of the guys backed away in intimidation or downright fear.

Even Bakugo looked surprised by the level of rage Midoriya was exuding.

"That's the angriest I've ever seen him, that idiot must've really struck a nerve." Bakugo thought.

"Do you understand?" Midoriya questioned.

Mineta rapidly nodded his head up and down, in terror.

Midoriya let him go and Mineta immediately ran away, presumably to hide.

Midoriya sighed and looked over at the girls, who were all talking.

As his gaze landed on Kyoka, he realized what his outburst had implied.

"Guys… you might be on to something." Midoriya said.

Meanwhile.

Mika was happily singing a song to herself as she closed the store for the night.

As she shut the door, her husband was making his way towards her.

Kyotoku kissed Mika on the cheek.

"How was work, dear?" Kyotoku asked.

"It was surprisingly busy, I think that word is spreading about the store." Mika told him.

"Yeah, well, you can't beat the classics." Kyotoku said.

Mika locked the door and the two of them went on their way, stopping to grab dinner before they would head home.

As they waited for their food, Mika decided to bring up a topic that she had been waiting to mention to him.

"So, Kyoka stopped by the other day." Mika said.

"Really?" Kyotoku asked.

"Yeah, I invited both her and her boyfriend over for dinner and for him to meet you but they couldn't stay long enough." Mika told him.

Mika looked away, trying to hide her expression and keep herself from laughing as the expression on Kyotoku's face changed.

It took a moment for the information Mika had just shared with him to sink in, but once it did, his change in attitude caught the attention of everyone.

"He's done for!" Kyotoku exclaimed.

Mika blushed in both embarrassment and joy.

"It might not be the exact truth, but with the way those two were acting, it's only a matter of time." Mika thought.

Later.

After they had returned to their home, Mika had managed to calm Kyotoku down enough for them to relax and enjoy their dinner.

However, afterwards, Kyotoku quickly grabbed the phone in order to call Kyoka.

"Hello?" Kyoka said.

"Kyoka, it's me." Kyotoku said.

Kyoka recognized her father's voice, despite her being so drowsy.

"It's good to hear from you, but it's so late, what's going on?" Kyoka asked.

"Kyoka, when were you going to tell me that you have a boyfriend?" Kyotoku questioned.

"Wait… what?!" Kyoka shouted, in shock.

"Your mother told me that both he and you had stopped by the other day." Kyotoku said.

Kyoka suddenly felt more awake, as she glared in response to her mother's actions.

"I want to meet this Midoriya guy." Kyotoku said.

Kyoka cringed as her father was putting on his tough guy act again, only this time with someone like Midoriya around, things would only be more difficult to deal with in terms of her father's intimidation tactics.

The next day.

Kyoka brought up what had happened, during her discussion with the rest of the girls.

"To be fair, he is just looking out for you, if some random guy who was dating someone that I care about, suddenly just showed up out of the blue, I would be cautious as well." Yaoyorozu said.

"Yeah, you're probably right, but still, we're not actually dating, I just can't convince them that Izuku isn't my boyfriend." Kyoka said.

"Considering that you keep calling him by his first name, that might play a role as to why." Mina said, teasingly.

"We just did that to avoid confusion, it just became a force of habit, that's all." Kyoka said, while blushing.

"This girl is in total denial." Toru thought.

"So, what are you going to do?" Tsuyu asked.

"I'm not sure, I don't want to drag Midoriya into this situation, but at the same time, Midoriya could help explain the truth to them and disprove it once and for all." Kyoka said.

"I just hope that it goes well enough." Kyoka thought.

Midoriya was about to receive another lesson.
