Midoriya awkwardly made his way into the Jiro household once again.

During the previous day when Kyoka had told him that her father had wanted to meet him, Midoriya was unsure of what to think.

There was the usual feeling of panic but there was also a sense of determination.

Kyoka, using anything to convince him, told him that it could also act as a lesson in confidence.

She told him that eventually when he entered the hero business, he would need to interact with both his peers and older heroes if he was to establish connections and partnerships.

So, this would act as a part of his training.

As Kyoka guided him to the living room, he saw both Mika and Kyotoku sitting on the couch, clearly awaiting his arrival.

"So, that's him." Kyotoku thought, as he glared at Midoriya.

Midoriya flinched for just a second, before looking back up at the three of them.

"Please don't scare him off." Mika thought.

"Come on, Izuku, you've faced scarier guys than him." Kyoka thought.

"I just need to stay calm and explain the circumstances." Izuku thought.

"So, you're the infamous Midoriya." Kyotoku said, sternly.

Midoriya turned to look at Kyoka, in confusion.

"Infamous?" Midoriya asked.

Kyoka sighed, knowing that her father's tough guy act had begun.

"Your name sounds familiar." Kyotoku said.

"Yeah, he was in the sports festival with me, he took on Todoroki." Kyoka reminded him.

"Oh yeah, that's right, you're the kid who hurts himself with his quirk." Kyotoku said.

Midoriya cringed, as he was reminded of what he was known for at that time.

"Yes, however, I've improved since then and I've gotten a lot stronger." Midoriya stated.

"Is that so?" Kyotoku asked, with a smirk.

Kyotoku stood up and walked forward, trying to further intimidate Midoriya by acting as if he towered over him.

Midoriya's instincts kicked in, causing him to jump out of the way, land on the wall and launch himself back onto the floor, where he now stood behind everyone.

The three of them stared at Midoriya in astonishment.

For a moment, Midoriya had looked serious and composed to them, but then in the next moment, his nervous nature kicked in.

"I'm really sorry about that, it was a reflex, I didn't mean to jump onto your wall!" Midoriya said, as he repeatedly bowed.

Kyoka couldn't help but giggle, causing her parents to look over at her.

"Calm down, he's just messing with you, you don't have to get all jumpy, literally." Kyoka joked.

"Kyotoku, I think he's had enough, you're going to make him pass out if you keep scaring him like this." Mika said, with a sympathetic smile.

"Fine, but I have some questions for him." Kyotoku said.

Midoriya sighed, in relief.

"Sure, I would be happy to answer them." Midoriya said.

"When did the two of you start dating?" Kyotoku asked.

"So much for relief." Midoriya thought.

Once again, Midoriya looked over at Kyoka, looking for answers, to which she had none.

"Mr. Jiro, I can assure you that Kyoka and I aren't dating." Midoriya told him.

Kyotoku looked skeptical.

"You just called her by her first name." Kyotoku said, in surprise.

"We're just close friends." Midoriya said.

From there, Midoriya went on to explain the situation, including his lessons in confidence and reluctantly mentioning what had happened with her quirk and how he had comforted her that night.

"I can't say that I'm thrilled with how you went about it, but I am thankful that you were able to help her though, Kyoka has always been sensitive when it comes to noises at night." Kyotoku said.

"I'm just sorry that everyone else saw the two of you together, it must've been embarrassing." Mika said.

"Yeah, they seem to think that we're dating now, too." Midoriya said.

"Well, it's not that shocking, lately you've spent most of your time together, you've helped each other emotionally and you've done activities that a couple would do, Midoriya even helped you pick out a bathing suit after he saw you in it." Mika said.

Midoriya and Kyoka's eyes went wide, while they both blushed at that memory.

"He did what?!" Kyotoku shouted.

Mika and Kyoka looked up at Kyotoku, realizing that this time it wasn't an act.

Midoriya must've realized it too, as he slowly stood up.

"Sir, it was nice to meet you and it was nice to see you again, Mika, but I've got to go now, bye!" Midoriya blurted out, quickly.

Midoriya booked it out of the house, using his quirk to get away.

"Get back here!" Kyotoku said, as he ran after him.

Later.

The rest of the class was hanging out in the main room, when the doors to the dorm building rapidly opened.

In ran Midoriya, breathing heavily as he shut the doors behind him.

As Kirishima was about to ask on behalf of everyone who was confused at the sudden arrival, Midoriya stopped him.

"You don't know me and I was never here." Midoriya said.

With that said, Midoriya went up to his room.

"What was that all about?" Sero asked.

"I get the feeling that the meeting didn't go so well." Tsuyu said.
