A/N: I wrote this story for my ICT class recently so it's really bad. This situation didn't happen but I thought it would be a funny story. Enjoy!
TommyInnIt wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. One day as Tommy did what Tommy does, he had a thought.
"AHHHH I'm gonna use Wilbur's song and tell people I made it!"
He had just finished uploading the video when he got a call from Philza Minecraft on discord.
"Tommy," he began. "I know you've done something. What did you do?"
Tommy was confused. He didn't think he had done anything wrong.
"Well, I was just uploading Wilbur's song on my channel," Tommy told Phil.
"Tommy!" Phil exclaimed. "You can't do that! That plagiarism, it's illegal, Tommy," Phil explained.
"Oh, I didn't know that. I thought that if you put something on YouTube, anyone could use it," Tommy said.
"There's a difference between something that's copyrighted and something that's in the public domain," Phil tol Tommy. "Since Wilbur put a copyright license on his song using the Creative Commons website, you can't use it without crediting him."
Phil continued to help Tommy fix his mistake.
"By crediting Wilbur for his song, you are using fair use," Phil elaborated. "Also, please tell me you didn't download the song."
"Is that bad too?" Tommy made an affirmative sound that told Phil all he needed to know.
"So Tommy, this is called piracy. That's also illegal," Phil continued.
"Phil, what should I do to fix it?" Tommy asked.
"I suggest you delete your download of the song, take down your video, and tell Wilbur your sorry for stealing it."
Tommy went back and did everything Phil told him to do. He deleted the video and the download and then told Wilbur he was sorry for what he did. Wilbur forgave him for his mistake. Tommy never broke a copyright law again.
