Chapter 32

Amanda laid there in shock. "Baby are you okay?" Amanda turned to face Olivia, "I've never felt anything like that before Liv." Amanda started crying and Olivia sat up, "Baby I'm sorry. Why are you crying? Did I hurt you?" Olivia had been worried since she was new at this. She had been careful to go slow and questioned herself, because she thought they were moving too fast. Amanda saw the worry in Olivia's eyes, "Liv no, you would never hurt me. It felt really good."A big smile flashed across Amanda's face, "What's the next bet Liv?" Olivia laughed so hard.

They both needed a shower, so they decided to take one together. They did pretty good keeping it G-rated considering what just happened. They did enjoy a lot of feeling and touching, but that's it, besides Amanda was totally exhausted. After the shower they packed up their stuff for work in the morning. When they climbed into bed, Olivia's phone rang. Amanda saw the name flash across the screen and she wondered who David was. She didn't think anything of it, until she heard the tone in Liv's voice.

"EADA Haden what can I do for you, I'm not on call tonight." Amanda thought it was strange that Olivia had David on her phone, but answered so professionally. Haden had explained that there was a problem with a case and he would be taking over personally. "You don't need to inform me that you are talking over a case." Amanda could feel Olivia's body tense up and her tone changed again. "Yes Sir. I will see you in the morning." Olivia hung up the phone and Amanda didn't get a chance to ask her if something was wrong, because the Captain called right after. Amanda's eyelids were getting heavy and she fell asleep, while Olivia talked about work.

The next morning Olivia woke up first and let Amanda sleep as long as she could. She had wanted to talk to her about David Haden. The last thing Amanda needed was a surprise. Even though Amanda knew Olivia was older with more sexual experience, they hadn't discussed prior relationships. Olivia had a few and other than fooling around and experimenting in college Amanda was the first woman. She didn't know what her reaction would be and wasn't ready to find out. "Hey baby, wake up for me. We're leaving in 20 minutes." Amanda sluggishly rolled out of bed. "Liv can you make me coffee?" Olivia looked at Amanda, "Baby you make coffee, but I've never seen you drink it. Let the shower wake you up." Amanda slowly came in grabbing her breakfast to go and her bag. "Amanda are you ok?" Amanda put her bag on her back, "Yeah, I guess the weekend wore me out."

The car ride was spent with Olivia on the phone talking about work. Amanda thought something must have really gone wrong, because Olivia never had this many calls about the same case. When they entered the squad room holding hands, they saw Captain Cragen talking to a tall man, with short brown hair. He was dressed in an expensive suit. Amanda thought he looked like a model. She didn't know what was up, so she quickly dropped Liv's hand and tried to go to her room. "Morning Detective Benson? Who's this?" Amanda looked at Liv and the Captain unsure if she should answer. Cragen explained, "This is Amanda, she volunteers here and helps out. She's also friends with Detective Benson." Haden sat on Olivia's desk and crossed his arms. "I'm David. It's nice to meet you Amanda" he said extending his hand. Olivia looked pissed and Amanda just hoped it wasn't something she did. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Haden. I should get going." Amanda turned to go into her room and Cragen left to take a call, but not before giving orders, "Detective Olivia will update you on the case."

Amanda started working as normal. She was in the middle of a lesson when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder. She looked up to see David Haden. "Hi Mr. Haden. Do you need some help?" He looked at the laptop, "What's this?" Amanda knew she shouldn't be in the squad room and remembered that Cragen said she volunteered so she lied, "Well just working on my classes until they need some help. Can I help you?" Haden said, "Sure shred these documents, but don't read them." Amanda shut her laptop and followed Haden to a nearby office where Olivia was sitting. She looked at Amanda, "Amanda, you ok? Do you need me?" Amanda put the files down and pulled out the shredder, "No Liv. Mr. Haden asked me to shred these, but not read them. I figured he was the boss or something and I know I'm not supposed to be here, so I'm playing volunteer. Amanda tried to smile, but Olivia's whole face changed. "Liv did I do something wrong?" Olivia kissed the top of Amanda's head, "No baby, but leave the files and go finish your work. You don't have to listen to him. He works with us, but he's not our boss." Olivia stormed out of the room.

Amanda was really confused, but listened to Olivia. On her way back to her room. She heard yelling in the hall. She peeked around the corner and saw an angry Olivia. "What the do you think you're doing? Stay away from her. I mean it." David had a smirk on his face, "Stay away from her? What are you doing? Why were you holding hands with her this morning." Olivia continued, "Well not that it's any of your business, we're dating, she lives with me, and she comes here with me every day." David moved back looking at Olivia, "Dating? You went from me to that." Olivia smacked David right across the face, "That is my girlfriend and we're done here. Stay away from her. You're here for a case. Get your case straight and let the rest go." Amanda had seen enough, Olivia defended her, but something came over her and she did the one she told Liv wouldn't do...SHE RAN.
