Arthur's tricks- part 2
Stacy asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2442 "Arthur's tricks" where Together, the ladies are able to get Charming away from Arthur for long enough to break the spell. Charming apologises to Snow and says he is going to stop Arthur whatever it takes.
Snow was now certain something had happened when Charming went to confront Arthur that day. Suddenly, he and the king of Camelot were inseparable. Snow just didn't understand. She certainly still didn't trust him. They had proof he was a villain. What had changed Charming's tune so suddenly? Snow wasn't sure, but she had to see if she could get any clues. So she decided to see if their son would be a strong enough lure to bring him back home long enough to get to the bottom of things. She then made her way to the Camelot camp. Without waiting for someone to escort her, she marched her way straight into Arthur and Gwen's tent. Sure enough, there was Charming.
"Snow?" He asked, surprised. "What are you doing here?"
"Well hi to you too." Snow said, slightly sarcastically. "You've been so busy lately…Neal was missing you." Snow said, holding their son up. "We thought you might like a cuddle…"
"Later, Snow." Charming sighed.
"Charming…"
"Snow, I said later." Charming snapped. "I'm too busy to have a cuddle with Neal right now. This if for his good too, can't you see that? The sooner we find Excalibur, the better." Snow now knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that there was something wrong here. Charming never turned down an opportunity to cuddle with Neal. There was only one person Snow thought might be able to help here: Regina. So Snow took Neal away with her, and quickly went to her stepmother's home.
Snow quickly filled Regina in on everything. Charming's strange behaviour, suddenly trusting Arthur, despite the evidence they had against him, the lot. Regina agreed that there was something wrong. She consulted her books and found only one possible cause.
"They have a mystic power in Camelot known as the Sands of Avalon." Regina explained to Snow. "When caught in the eye of a person, they become unquestioning and loyal to the holder of the sand. We need some pure water to fix this. Fortunately, I have a little left." Regina rooted around her trunk until she found some. "Right, let's go save Idiot Number One." Snow gave her a disapproving look, but wasn't exactly in a strong position to tell her off properly.
Snow led Regina to the back of Arthur's tent. For this to work, they had to get Charming on his own. Together, the ladies waited patiently until both Arthur and Gwen had left to attend to Camelot business. Then, they slipped into the tent.
"Snow? Regina?" Charming asked. "Why are you sneaking in like that? I already told you, Snow, I'll cuddle Neal later…" Without waiting for another word, Regina poured the water in his eyes. Charming suddenly blinked rapidly. Snow waited, tense. Then, Charming pulled Snow and Neal into his arms, kissing them both.
"I'm so sorry." He told her.
"Don't be." Snow replied. "It wasn't your fault. You couldn't have known about the sand."
"Even so." Charming sighed, pulling back. "He won't be getting another chance to use that on me, or anyone else. I'm going to stop him, Snow. He will not use that sword to hurt our daughter." Snow nodded, taking Charming's hand in hers. She was so relieved to have her Charming back.
