"...ake up…!"
A voice rang through his skull, snapping through his mind like the light that was now piercing his eyes. Sluggish joints began to move as neurons fired and his mind began to race.
"-ey! I see you moving! Get up!"
The world burst into color. He squinted, smacking his face as he tried to quell the overload of vision. What…
"There are Fallen-No, you don't know what those are yet-hostiles inbound, two-hundred metres. We need to move!"
What is going on?
He sat up quickly, adrenaline running through his veins. Hostiles? he wondered. His knuckles popped, feeling returning to them as if they had fallen asleep for an entire day. Something was in hands. What's this? Grimacing, he stood up. Where was that voice coming from?
"DUCK!"
Instinct took over and he rolled. Rubble blasted into the air as the concrete where he had just been shattered. He took cover behind an alcove of rebar and dark metal. "What's happening?!" he finally cried, wincing at the unrecognizable sound of his own voice. "Where are you!?
A being materialized into the air in front of him. His eyes widened in awe as it's eye settled on him.
"I am your Ghost, and you have been dead for a very, very long time."
