Sweat Petyr or Paul? Wisdom or beauty?

This story describes events that happen when I finally have the opportunity to meet up with Ann after we finally have this stupid Covid 19 virus under control, and our lives are relatively back to normal.
Ann and I had the idea that we should definitely meet when it is possible again since we only live about 100 kilometers apart, if not a little less.
I dedicate this story to Ann and Jenny.

I really hope you enjoy the story.

In my story, which is a cross-over between „The Lost Boys" and „What we do in the Shadows", an unusual meeting takes place.

I have invited Ann to my house, we are going to spend a "Lost Boys" evening together and Ann is going to spend the night at my place because we have some alcohol there.

Ann has got a really big surprise for me. I have no idea that she herself has a guest. It is Jenny from the United States.

When the two of them arrive at my place, it makes me very happy. We spend a great evening together.

We watch our favorite film and then watch "What we do in the shadows". After all, we're tired enough to go to sleep.

A loud bang wakes us up and that's when it starts to get weird. We are no longer in my apartment but in the Lost Boys cave.

In the cave, however, there is no longer the sunken hotel, but the villa of Petyr, Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav, the vampires of the movie „What we do in the shadows".

I don't own any character of "The Lost Boys" and of "What we do in the shadows". I asked Jenny and Ann for permission before I uploaded the story.

Chapter

Finally, the time had come, it was Saturday and today Ann would finally come to visit.

Pat and Ann knew each other through a hobby that they had in common. Both loved vampire films. One of their favorite films was "The Lost Boys".

This film was very different from all the old vampire films in which the vampire was always a nobleman who lived in a castle.

The Lost Boys were a group of four vampires who rode motorcycles, lived in a cave, were very handsome, and had their own ideas about how to live.

The women didn't like the end of the film at all, because their beloved vampires died. So, like many other fans, the women wrote so-called fan fiction.

These are stories that amateur writers come up with to bring their heroes, in this case, the four vampires, back to life.

Ann reached the apartment door where Pat was waiting excitedly for her. They said hello and hugged.

Pat was very fond of the younger woman's dyed blue hair. Ann was a little smaller than Pat, with a pretty, sympathetic face.

"I'm so happy that we're finally getting to know each other in person. Did you have a pleasant trip here?"

Ann smiled. "Yes, the motorway was very quiet and we got here without any problems."

Pat looked a little confused at her friend. "We?", she asked. "Who did you bring then?" Except for the greeting of the women, it had been quiet in the stairwell, but now Pat heard footsteps. Someone was coming up the stairs, and when Pat realized who it was, she couldn't believe it.

Ann laughed when she saw Pat's surprised face. "You can't imagine how difficult it was for me not to reveal that Jenny is visiting me for a few days."

Pat hesitated for a moment when Jenny stood in front of her, but then she greeted the petite, blonde woman with a hug too. "This is a very nice surprise. I'm so happy to see you both. But tell me, what are you doing in Germany?"

The petite blonde smiled. "I'm a guest at a fair for equestrian sports in Cologne," she explained. "And when I told Ann about it, she offered me that I could stay with her because she lives close to the town. I gladly accepted the offer."

Ann looked a little embarrassed at Pat "I took you a bit off guard, if it's a problem we'll go home later instead of staying the night."

Pat smiled. "Nonsense, that is out of the question. My apartment is small, but I have enough beds," she assured her friend. "But now come on in. I'll show you everything."

First of all, Pat showed their guests the bedroom they were to stay in. "I bought the bed a while ago. The cool thing is there's a spare bed under it. We'll put that over there and get blankets and pillows from the attic so you can sleep here," she remarked. "I sleep on the sofa, it's very comfortable."

After Pat showed their guests the rest of the apartment, the three women sat down at the dining table and enjoyed dinner. Pat had made Chilly con Carne because she knew Ann loved it. "Okay, what would you like to drink? I have mead, wine, champagne, and some sweet liquors."

The women decided to have a mead first. Pat set three cups of mead on the table and the women made themselves comfortable on the sofa.

The women had already put on their pajamas. They took their blankets and pillows from the bedroom and put the first film into the DVD player.

"Well, I have to say, I've loved this movie for so many years, and I can't count how many times I've seen it. I never thought that it would be possible for me that I would one day love another movie more than this," Pat confessed when the movie ended. She was just about to put the film back in the closet.

"Are you serious?" Ann asked a little aghast. "Which movie do you think could be better?"

Pat looked from Jenny to Ann. "Well, it would be this one," she said, holding up another DVD.

In my opinion "What we do in the Shadows" relies on very intelligent humor and I just can't shake the impression that this film pokes fun at other vampire films, especially The Lost Boys and their fans, as well as fanfiction stories," she explained. "Well, the more I watch this film, the more parallels I see with different things in fanfiction stories."

Ann and Jenny now looked at Pat as if she had two heads. "There's no way this movie could be better," Jenny complained. "The Lost Boys has cult status, nothing can match it. The vampires are handsome and unique, just like the story the film tells!"

"I see it exactly as you do," said Ann and pointed with her thumb at Jenny who looked over at Pat blankly.

Pat smiled at the two. "You know what, I'm in favor of us watching the film and I'll explain to you what I'm trying to say when I compare this movie with The Lost Boys. I know that you don't agree with me. I have to deal with the fact that I see a lot of things quite differently than most people do. That often leads to their incomprehension, sometimes even rejection. But now I am mature enough to deal with that," she explained. "And besides, there actually is a vampire in this film that I even like more than Paul. I know, that's hard to believe. I still love Paul, but in a different way than before."

She looked over at Jenny With a smile. "We don't need to fight over him anymore," Pat noted. "Well, he's yours anyway, which I can understand because you're younger and prettier than me. Paul would be stupid if he rejected you, and he's not stupid!"

Jenny watched with raised eyebrows as Pat finally put the film into the DVD player. She looked like she was about to say something, but she didn't.

During the film, Pat repeatedly explained where she thought What we do in the Shadows was referring to The Lost Boys, and the three women discussed it while they were having a few more glasses. In the end, the three of them were just tired and finally fell asleep on the sofa.

Before an hour had passed, all three woke up at the same time. A loud bang had woken them and they looked at each other confused.

"What was that?", Pat asked quietly, looking around in the room. "Oh shit," she screamed, jumping up from the sofa in disbelief.

Ann and Jenny also looked around in disbelief and confusion. They were still on Pat's sofa, but it was no longer in her living room. It was absolutely incredible, but the three women knew exactly where they were now.

All three had watched The Lost Boys so many times and memorized many details in the den of the four vampires. To put it correctly, one can say that all three women knew the Lost Boys cave as well as their own homes.

They even noticed the elevator shaft that led into the part of the cave where the vampires slept during the day.

The three of them were amazed to realize that in the middle of the room there was no fountain, but the antique, green couch that belonged to Viago.

Viago was one of the vampires from the other film, and Pat's sofa was now in a mix of the sets from both films. The three women took in the surroundings anxiously, then there were footsteps.

Startled, they jumped back on the sofa at the same time and grabbed the covers as if they could hide there. But it didn't help because the steps were getting closer. Then it got quiet.

"Hey guys, take a look at this. What do we have there?". The three women recognized David's voice, and although they had always loved these vampires, they were now insecure. David wasn't exactly known for being very friendly.

David didn't move an inch. He grinned and looked over at the three women who were lying under their blankets and lurking over to him.

Neither Jenny nor Ann or Pat even noticed any movement in the room, but suddenly the covers were torn away from them.

Paul, Dwayne, and Marko had flown over to them completely unnoticed. The three vampires now hovered over the sofa and held the blankets.

"Where do they come from?", Marko finally asked a little annoyed. "What are they doing here?"

Dwayne smiled down at Ann, just like Paul at Jenny and Pat. "This is the woman I dreamed of," Dwayne finally explained and floated down to Ann.

He collapsed next to her on the sofa and stared at her with satisfaction. Paul let go of the covers and squeezed his body in between Jenny and Pat, with a grin. "I have no idea how you got here, but I don't care. I always love to meet nice ladies."

Marko shook his head and floated over to David. He stopped next to his leader and grinned. "Weren't we going to go straight away and get something to eat? Looks like we can save the trip!"

Paul and Dwayne looked annoyed at Marko and flipped him a bird. "We can't eat the three of them," Paul said angrily, putting an arm around Jenny's and Pat's shoulders. "At least not right away. Dwayne and I saw the girls in a dream and we want to know why!"

Dwayne nodded. "Something very strange is happening here, that's obvious. We are vampires, for usual we don't dream, and yet, we dreamed of them."

And as if the situation weren't already strange enough, the Lost Boys, like the three women suddenly heard a throat clearing from the other side of the room.

Everyone was now looking in the direction from which the throat-clearing had come.

"Oh my god," Pat whispered. In front of the antique green couch were Petyr, Vladislav, Viago, and Deacon, the four vampires from the film "What we do in the Shadows".

Vampires were territorial creatures who usually did not tolerate other vampires in their realm.

David looked over at the other vampires ready to fight. "Look at that, we have more guests," he hissed. "I can't remember inviting anyone. Do you remember anything like that, Marko?"

Marko grinned. "No, I don't know who invited them, Paul maybe you know that?" Paul shook his head. "Who wants to know?" He asked.

"David wants to know," replied Dwayne. "Who are the morons? And what are they doing here?"

Petyr, Vladislav, Viago, and Deacon looked at each other in amazement. The four knew that they were in a precinct that belonged to these vampires.

They didn't know how they got from Wellington, New Zealand, to Santa Carla, California.

Deacon knew the Lost Boys, he had watched the classic film himself many times and was thrilled that the vampires in the film did not correspond to the common cliché.

Deacon and his friends didn't fit that stereotype either, well, Petyr had before he turned Deacon. But that was a long time ago.

Deacon smiled at his roommates. "They're the Lost Boys," he explained. "But they were killed in the movie. What are you guys doing in our house?"

He walked over to David and Marko confidently. "I'm Deacon and these are my friends Petyr, Viago, and Vladislav. What are you doing here? This is our house."

David looked down at Deacon, not exactly enthusiastic. Deacon was as short as Marko and of a similar build. With a grin, he noticed the knitting needles that the vampire was holding in his hand.

"You knit?", David questioned and grinned. "What we do here? This is our realm you moron, so what are you doing here?"

Now Viago got involved. "What are you talking about? Our house is in this cave, and I have no idea how it got here!" Viago could be quite stubborn and pedantic. He looked from one vampire to the other.

"Just look over there is my antique green couch. At least it was until my friends screwed it up with blood. Now it's an antique red couch. I'll never understand what's so hard about laying out paper and towels before you eat someone on the couch!"

David looked blankly at Viago, then grinned. "You have no idea how you got here, do you?"

Vladislav came over now too. "Maybe we should calm down first," he suggested. So far Pat had only listened in silence. Now she gathered her courage and wiped Paul's arm off her shoulder. Out of the women, she was the oldest and she felt responsible since she had the idea to watch both of the movies.

She got up from the sofa and walked over to the vampires. Viago and his friends had not noticed the women until then, the dismay that they suddenly found themselves in a completely different time and an uncommon place was too great. He smiled at the women. "Hello ladies," he greeted and waved.

David looked over at Pat with raised eyebrows. She looked uncertainly at the vampire and stood at a safe distance from him.

"What year is it?", she asked. The Lost Boys started laughing. "Yes, what year is it, Paul," Marko repeated. Paul shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know," he replied. The Lost Boys fell silent when they noticed Pat's serious face.

Petyr, the oldest of the strange vampires, was now standing next to Pat. He didn't look particularly beautiful with his incisors, all of them being fangs. But his expression was heartening.

His eyes had the same shade of blue as David's and, like David, Petyr wore a long, black coat. He said nothing, but put his arm around Pat's shoulder and looked encouragingly into her eyes. He wanted to know what the woman had to say.

"The three of us are from the year 2021," Pat explained. She was a bit uneasy because Petyr was standing so close to her. "And you are all characters from two different films!"

Deacon and Marko stepped up in front of Pat. Petyr pushed the woman behind him.

"I'm not a character from a movie," exclaimed Deacon angrily. "Neither am I," Marko supported the vampire. "I can gladly show you that I am real," he continued, showing his vampire face as he tried to approach Pat.

However, Petyr held Marko back. Jenny and Ann now also got up from the sofa.

"Pat is right," Jenny stated. "I have no idea how it is possible that all of us are in this cave. The three of us just had a nice evening and we watched both movies that you are from!"

Vladislav came over. "Well, the ladies know us as characters from films," he illustrated, "but we're all here now and we should try to figure out why."

David sighed and went to the old wheelchair. He sat down and looked around. He waved Marko over and whispered something into his ear. Marko disappeared briefly and shortly afterward came back with the ornate bottle.

Marko handed the bottle to David and watched intently what would happen next.

David opened the bottle and took a sip. Then he handed it to Vladislav who looked blank, sniffed the bottle, and finally smiled. "Maybe we should sit down first and enjoy this delicious drink," he suggested and sat down on Pat's sofa.

The three women watched suspiciously as the bottle was passed from one vampire to the next.

They knew very well that there was vampire blood in that bottle. David looked at the floor with a smile, then looked at Pat. "It's 1987," he said. "What do you three know of us?"

Ann took a deep breath, then looked a little uncertainly at David. "We know all about you," she admitted. "We know about Star and Laddie. We know that Max runs a video rental store and that he is your sire. We know his blood is in that bottle!"

Now the Lost Boys looked unsettled. "David's blood is in the bottle," admitted Marko. "And when you showed up here, Star, Laddie, and Michael disappeared. Michael was here for the first time tonight and we were just about to make him one of us when there was a tremor. We retreated to the back of the cave and when the quake was over you were there."

Dwayne held the bottle in his hand and looked challengingly at Ann. "You can be with me," he explained with a smile. "I would be happy."

Paul pulled Jenny onto his lap and nodded. "Yes, that would be great. Come on Jenny. You can't just leave me."

Then he looked at the four new vampires." We can certainly get along with them," he told David. "They are funny! Come on! Let them stay here."

David looked around. Paul was right. The vampires seemed not too bad, and it was the same with the women.

Pat and Petyr seemed to like each other, and she didn't seem to mind that his teeth were repulsive.

"All right," he decided." Handing the women the bottle. „The three of them have to make the decision themselves. They may become part of this family or they die!"
