Heirlooms- part 2
SillySuperMan asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch634 "Heirlooms" where Rosie gets jealous of Emma having the tiara, so takes it. When Emma starts to look for it, Snow gets mad that Emma could be so irresponsible and lose such a precious heirloom. Rosie admits she took it because she thought she should be the princess since Emma was raised as the Saviour and not a princess.
"Em, that tiara meant a lot to me…"
"It meant a lot to me too!" Emma said frantically, searching every inch of her bedroom. "I didn't so much as take it out the box, mom. I kept it right here in my top drawer. I would never be careless with something as important as that." Emma looked at her mom pleadingly. Snow wasn't mad at her daughter. She was just disappointed.
"Emma, that tiara has been in our family for decades. I gave it to you because it was your right to have it, but it hurts me that you would be so irresponsible with something so precious…"
"But I wasn't!" Emma shouted, becoming frustrated. She knew she had been careful with it. "I looked after it like nothing else I've ever owned. I don't understand what's happened…"
Meanwhile, Rosie was standing looking guilty by the doorway. She had the tiara. She had taken it from Emma. Rosie had become jealous of her big sister getting the pretty tiara. So she had decided she should have it. What Rosie didn't know, was that her daddy had been watching her at the doorway.
"Rosie?" He asked. Rosie jumped. She looked at her daddy sheepishly. "Rosie, do you know something about the tiara?" He asked. Rosie stayed quiet. "Rosie Eva." Charming said more sternly. "It'll be better for you if you start talking now." Rosie's bottom lip began to quiver, but she couldn't keep it in any longer. She told her dad everything.
A few minutes later, Emma and Snow were still searching for the tiara in Emma's room, when Charming knocked on the door guiding Rosie into the room.
"I think someone has some explaining to do." He said. Snow and Emma looked down. It was the tiara's jewellery box!
"The tiara!" Emma said, coming forward and taking it from her little sister. "Rosie, where did you find this?" She asked.
"Your top drawer." Rosie said quietly. Emma looked at her little sister, confused.
"You took it?" She asked. Rosie nodded, feeling ashamed of herself.
"You're the Saviour. I just thought that since I was with them I'd be the princess. Princesses wear tiaras." Rosie explained her reasoning. Emma just didn't know what to say. Snow came over and crouched down beside her youngest daughter.
"Princesses certainly don't steal, Rosie. We are very disappointed in you." Snow said seriously. Rosie nodded, a small tear falling down her cheek. She was disappointed in herself as well. "And your big sister is a princess as well. Mommy and daddy gave her the tiara because it is rightfully hers. Emma has never taken your special broach off of you, has she?" Rosie shook her head. "No, she hasn't. Now, I think we both have something to say to your sister." Snow stood up and took Emma's hands. "Emma, I am so sorry that I jumped straight to accusing you of being careless with it." Snow said. "I was wrong." Emma hugged her mom, she understood that she was just stressed because the tiara meant a lot to her.
"Rosie." Charming said. "Your turn." Everyone looked at Rosie expectedly.
"I'm sorry Emma." Rosie said. "What I did was very bad." Emma bent down and pulled her sister into a hug.
"It's ok kid, I get it." Emma said sympathetically. "Let's both try not to get jealous, ok?" Rosie nodded into her shoulder. Snow and Charming looked at each other, smiling. They were so lucky to have such close girls.
