Henry's twin- part 2

A guest asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch716 "Henry's twin" where Emma brings Megan to Storybrooke, introduces her to everyone and comforts the little girl. She promises to never leave her again.

How do you expect an eleven year old to accept that she is the granddaughter of Snow White and Prince Charming? It was hard enough for Emma to accept when she'd been out of the system for years. Megan was still in the middle of it all. She was bound to feel pretty hopeless. Although, to Emma's surprise, she was coping pretty well. She seemed to have accepted her genetics. Some magical displays around Storybrooke helped give some proof to the situation.

They were slowly introducing the little girl to familiar faces around town. She ate at Granny's and met Granny and Red. She saw Regina when she came to pick up Henry. She'd been to work with Charming and Emma and went on a call where she met the dwarves. They'd also set her up with some counselling sessions with Archie to help her during the transition. Emma was keeping a particularly close eye on her. She knew Megan was bound to be a flight risk. Much worse than a terrible foster home, was one that was too good. There tended to be something fishy about those. Emma had to convince Megan that she was here for good. She took the little girl out for some one-on-one time having hot coco at Granny's. Megan, too, liked cinnamon on her hot coco.

"How you holding up kid?" Emma asked her. Megan just shrugged.

"Good, I guess." She said quietly. "Everyone's nice here." Emma smiled. At least people were being friendly to her.

"Are you happy here?" Emma asked her. Megan nodded. Emma almost slapped herself for the stupid question. Every foster kid knew the answer to that was yes. "Megan, listen, I know new homes can be scary. I just need you to know…this is the last new home you will ever have. Ask Henry, you aren't leaving. We're family, Megan. I would have looked for you after Henry found me if I knew you were still alive. I just need you to know you're safe here." Megan smiled shyly. Emma decided not to push it. She would leave that conversation there for now. She would let Megan come to her when she was ready.
