Author's Note: Whew, this was late. Like really late. I know blaming the pandemic seems like a cop0out but I've been swapped to 12 hour work shifts with only two or three off days at a time. And I sleep. A lot. Like you might as well subtract an off day because I'm just so tired all the time. But I'm not quitting. I am going to finish this season, and possibly the whole series (if not a huge chunk of it) within the year. That is my resolution.
Disclaimer: I don't own Total Drama, the shuffled concept or the (most of) the characters.
And to answer some reviews:
That British Guy: She's been blinded by her emotions. Something that in my opinion was a big part of her character in canon.
OmnipotentAbsoluteUIGodzilla: Topher is good at what he does. To be fair Olivia's not denying her feelings, she just thinks that Contessa wants Dawn and is trying to stay out of her way. In fairness, no one's really taking Topher seriously considering how he spent the last season openly obsessing over stealing Chris's job and not caring about the game.
Tempokeep: Really? huh, didn't expect people to see Mitch as winner material. While Jasmine leaving would clear up the Heroes issues the easiest, there are other things that can happen.
Derick Lindsey: Justin's not smart enough to question something like that, and Topher's smart enough to pick his battles. I had to throw Mitch a bone. I felt bad about injuring him. To be fair, my plans for Justin are try and fail at everything. But hey, he makes a great lackey for Topher in this state.
KryptonianKnight: Yeah Brick is having a tougher time this season than last time. Well, before Jasmine thought voting off Contessa was for her own good. Now she's got a grudge. And we remember how intense that can get from canon. You're right about Justin, but we all know he's not smart enough to consider that.
Gucci Mane LaFlare: Thanks. I know I've done it before, but I'm a sucker for the 'try and stop the fighting' plotline.
LazloVader9943: Oh no one's disagreeing with you on Contessa, least of all the girl herself. Well we've seen canon Pahkitew, angry Jasmine isn't exactly capable of forgiving and forgetting.
BaseballCapClyde: Glad you liked the challenge. Contessa looks like the bad guy? Or is someone making her look like the bad guy? But yeah, Jasmine's not letting that go anytime soon. And Brick's going to have to be the one to deal with the fallout. Like I said before, I hate throwing in unnecessary drama for already established couples. I'm not a canon writer. Eh, Justin's here pretty much to fail and be kinda pointless. But It works out because he's basically Topher's lackey and the guy needs an ally he's not blackmailing.
Crosshot: In truth I'm not happy about sending Mitch home because he's so fun to write. Well, I certainly can't wait to read your take on Kitsune. And the Scarlett/Natasha ship sounds interesting.
Shufollower: Nope, still here. It's a little soon for Redemption predictions so I can't comment on that.
Remaining All-Stars:
Heroic Horses: Brick, Contessa, Izzy, Jasmine, Owen
Villainous Vipers: Courtney, Geoff, Justin, Katie, Olivia, Topher
Today things got from Bad to Norse... I show myself out.
Episode 06: Welcome to Wreck-javik
"Last time, on Total Drama All-Stars 2!" Chris opened over a shot of the outside of the track, then the two cars speeding around the course. "We took the all-stars to Monaco to see some up-close-and-personal speed demons," he said as the teams gawked at their faces on the expensive sports cars. "Olivia avoided Contessa," the hopeless romantic was seen storming out of the cargo hold, followed by the actress sadly watching her leave; "and Topher took advantage!" the instigator was seen talking to Jasmine.
"The Heroes just couldn't stop arguing," the host said over Jasmine and Owen arguing in loser class, Jasmine and Contessa arguing before the challenge, and Brick complaining in the confessional. "And as Mitch learned the hard way," Chris added pausing to chuckle as the cowboy struggled to get a tire on his team's car, "distraction plus heavy machinery equals OUCH!" the car was shown falling onto Mitch's foot, followed by his exit via medics. "Unfortunately for our favorite cowboy, this was his last rodeo." The recap ended with a series of short clips in quick succession showing Owen, Izzy, and Brick voting, followed by a bit of Mitch's post-elimination clip.
"We're down to just eleven all-stars remaining," Chris said as the recap ended and the scene flashed to him in the cockpit with Chef. "And it's time to get these guys somewhere where they can cool off! Or is it?" He asked slyly. "It's time for another thrilling episode of, Total! Drama! All-Stars! 2!" As the shot pulled back with each word, a hot-air balloon was shown floating under the plane.

[The sequence opens exactly as it did in season three, with a tilted shot of a stagelight swinging up and turning on in front of an airport control tower, followed by another light popping out of an overhead compartment along with a pair of oxygen masks; then a camera forcibly ejecting a raccoon from a wing engine and another camera bursting out of a suitcase, sending undergarments flying. A pair of white-skinned arms clap a film slate in front of the camera, which then flies down the aisle of first class seats. It passes a drink cart, then forces Chris McLean to jump to the side as the camera flies into the cockpit.]
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doin' fine;
[Chef Hatchet is piloting the plane in its cockpit, bobbleheads of himself and the host sitting on the control panel. For a single frame he turns his head and glares at the camera before it passes through the windshield and out onto the runway, the silhouette of the CN Tower visible in the distance as the camera flies over and through several baggage tugs.]
You guys are on my mind!
[Fading through the whiteness of a baggage cart, the camera emerges close to the CN Tower. The camera flies up along it, the sun shining bright at its peak. The scene arcs downward towards a lake, and speeds forward into it with a splash.]
Ya asked me what I wanted to be,
[The bubbles from the splash fade to show Owen floating underwater seemingly naked. He notices his swim trunks float past him and covers his crotch with a blush on his face, and the camera pans up to the surface.]
And now I think the answer is plain to see!
[On the roof of the cabin of a boat woven from reeds, Dawn is meditating in lotus position.]
I wanna be...famous!
[The camera pans down and to the right to where Olivia is frantically paddling the boat as crocodiles leap out of the water on either side and snap their jaws. The boat leaves the screen, and on 'be' one of the reptiles winces; the camera moves back to the boat, revealing that it had crashed into an inflatable raft that Contessa was standing on. The raft begins to sink, and Olivia quickly grabs her into a fierce hug. The two girls blush and separate just as quickly.]
I wanna live close to the sun!
[The camera flashes to the a snow-capped mountain, immediately cutting to the top it as Brick climbs up from the side, then wipes the sweat from his brow as he helps Courtney reach the summit.]
Well pack your bags, 'cause I've already won!
[The couple stop with shock on their faces as Izzy suddenly runs past. The wildcard blindly runs straight into Jasmine, and the two tumble off the other side of the mountain.]
Everythin' to prove,
[The camera quick-pans to Mitch standing in an open field on Pahkitew Island. He catches Jasmine in his arms and gently sets her down, and she kisses him on the cheek as Izzy lands on the ground behind them.]
Nothin' in my way; I'll get there one day.
[Another pan to the right shows Topher watching with a devious expression. He rubs his hands in anticipation, only for a furry paw to quickly tap him on the shoulder. The camera pans to Scuba Bear glaring at the instigator, who promptly runs away. On the bear's other side, Terrance begins to laugh...]
'Cause I wanna be...famous!
[...Scuba Bear then turns to glare at Terrance instead, even roaring at the boy and chasing him off. The camera zooms in on a mountain in the background, and flashes over to Geoff and Katie walking down the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The party dude turns to the right and screams and the two run away, a large number of fans chasing them away.]
(Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
[Justin and B were next, the genius driving a speedboat and the model waterskiing behind him. They speed up and out of frame and the camera shakes for a moment. The shot pans to the right to show that the boys had ran into another speedboat driven by Sasquatchanakwa, Justin now face-down in his and B's boat. The yeti makes a hand gesture that had to be censored and the camera pans up to the sky.]
I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
[The jet flies right past a Mayan pyramid, causing whole structure to fall apart; the jet flies over Cristo Redentor in Rio de Janero, startling a priest into crossing himself; the jet flies trough the air and the camera pans down.]
I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
[The pan ends on a zoomed out shot of the swim-dressed all-stars lined up on eight platforms according to their teams – the villains holding red dueling sticks on the left of each platform, the heroes holding gold dueling sticks on the right. The camera zooms in and moves between them as they clash – smirking Courtney against smirking Brick; smug Topher being shoved in the water by a smiling Mitch; vain Justin holding off a confused Owen with one hand as he admired his own reflection in a hand mirror; Geoff thrusting eagerly but being easily blocked by an unimpressed Jasmine; Katie smirking darkly as she easily knocked Dawn into the water; Olivia being knocked away by a maniacally grinning Izzy; Terrance evenly matched with B, both boys smirking competitively; and Rebecca evilly smirking as she slammed her stick against a terrified Contessa, the top pieces of the padding suddenly catching fire and making both girls look up in surprise.]
[The lyrics end and a guitar is strummed as the camera zooms in on the two flames as they flare together, and the last few whistling notes play. The fires peter out to show the cast lined up and most of them smiling at the camera, the jet behind them. Mitch is on the far left end; to the right are Jasmine, B, Owen, Terrance, Geoff, Justin, Topher and Rebecca. In front of them are Dawn, Olivia, Contessa, Katie, Courtney, and Brick. Rebecca has her back turned to the camera as the song ends, spray-painting a '2' at the end of the 'Total Drama All-Stars' logo on the side of the jet, then turns and winks at the camera.]

The scene opened on Katie sitting at the juice bar in first class, enjoying a decently-sized omelet sitting on the counter. Geoff walked up with a grin on his face, and said "Man, isn't it awesome that we get to enjoy first class together?" He took a seat next to Katie, then waggled his eyebrows and added "It'd be even better if we were alone right...?"
Katie blushed and looked away. "Uh yeah it would," she answered. "But, don't you hate my guts right now?" she added, looking back at him with a confused frown before turning back to her breakfast.
Geoff sighed. "Yeah, I thought I did," he told her, "but I realized I was being a jerk and well..." he rubbed the back of his neck. "I was hoping you could forgive me?"
Katie sat there, blinking once with her fork still hanging out of her mouth. Geoff chuckled for a bit before devolving into full-blown laughter. "I'm sorry," he said through his laughs as she took the fork out of her mouth and glared at him. "But that face was just too cute."
"Well now I'm having second thoughts about if I should forgive you," she crossed her arms and pouted.
XXX
"I don't understand," Katie confessed. "I had pretty much given up on Geoff, but he's apologizing and calling me cute?" she asked with a blush. "I'm not complaining, it just.. kinda came out of nowhere."
XXX
"Wait," Geoff said, still laughing. "I'm sorry."
"Well I might forgive you," Katie smiled, "if you take me on a date when this is over."
Geoff immediately stopped laughing. "You're still into me after I acted like a jerk?"
"You weren't yourself," Katie shrugged. "I know what that's like. So... date?"
"Totally," the party dude smiled.
The camera panned over to Topher, watching them with pursed lips.
"Thinking about strategy?" Justin asked as an ominous tune played, the camera zooming out to show him and Olivia sitting nearby.
"When did Geoff stop acting all mopey?" Topher asked.
"If you two paid less attention to your reflections and more attention to the game," Olivia told them as she painted her nails, "you'd notice he stopped being a jerk sometime during the Mexico challenge." She examined her nails, then huffed and started painting them again.
"Well now he's getting pretty chummy with Katie," Topher pointed out.
"Makes sense," Justin shrugged. "Those two were seriously into each other last year."
"They were, huh?" Topher said, stroking his chin.
The camera panned over to Courtney, watching her team with an unreadable expression.
\
"Honestly, the nerve of that girl," Jasmine said with a scowl as the scene cut to economy class.
"Okay," Contessa said as the shot cut to her on the other side of the cabin. "I've already apologized like a dozen times. Can you at least stew silently if you're not gonna forgive me?"
"And why would I do that?" the amazon shot back. "Because of you my boyfriend got eliminated. And I bet you had something to do with Dawn too."
"Dawn asked to be voted off," the hopeless romantic pointed out.
"But you and her were keeping watch that night," Jasmine said. "Maybe you said something to make her want to quit."
"If anything she talked me into not quitting," Contessa scoffed.
"Well we all make mistakes," Jasmine muttered.
"Come on guys," Izzy said, stepping to the middle of the room. "We're a team. We have to work together if we wanna win."
"Izzy's right," Brick said. "I know things are tense, but can you agree to set it aside until the merge?"
Contessa and Jasmine glared at each other for a moment, then the hopeless romantic held out a hand. "They're right." she said. "Truce?"
Jasmine looked at the hand, then huffed and walked out of the cabin.
"And she says you're the threat to the team," Owen scoffed.
XXX
"I've been concerned about Contessa ever since the season started," Jasmine complained, "but to think she's messing up our team on purpose is," she sighed.
"I can't believe I fell for the same trick Olivia pulled last year. I've got to stop thinking with my heart if I want to win."
XXX
"Well maybe if you apologize-" Brick told Contessa as the scene in economy class resumed.
Contessa narrowed her eyes at him in anger. "I've already apologized. That's what I did all last night. But she seems content to not let me have a break. Like I don't feel horrible enough already."
"And she's acting completely ridiculous," Owen added. "I mean, I'm the one Mitch blamed for what happened. And he's the one it happened to!"
"Face it Brick," Izzy said with a careless shrug. "Jasmine's the weak link right now." A few deep notes played over a close-up of Brick's frowning face.
\
The scene cut to the series' world map as the plane icon flew westward from the Mediterranean coast all the way to Iceland, set to a dramatic tune.
Another flash skipped the footage ahead, showing the cast assembled in an open area filled with geysers.
"Hallo," Chris greeted as some traditional local music played in the background. "Welcome to Iceland! A tiny country rich in history, culture, and, food that stares you in the face," he said as the camera zoomed in on the group. "When the Vikings settled this place, they called it 'Iceland' to discourage invaders. And it totally worked. The Icelandic language is the closest modern analogue to what the Vikings spoke."
"Vikings?" Owen asked. "That's awesome! Argh, I can't wait fer some Viking-themed challenges," he said in a pirate accent for some reason.
"Owen," Contessa spoke up. "That's a pi-" she sighed. "Oh never mind."
Izzy giggled into her hand.
"For today's first challenge, we're going to have a little hot-air balloon race," Chris continued without acknowledging the exchange, the camera panning across two gold balloons and three red ones.
"You'll be racing to the other side of the country to a recreation of an ancient Viking mead hall. First balloon to make it wins it for their team," he explained as the camera moved back to him. "Ready?" he said, raising his hand like a flag as a deep chanted note played. "Set!" The eleven contestants got into running positions, and Chris's cellphone rang. "I better get this," he told them blankly, pulling it out of his breast pocket and answering it. "McLean here," he said. "Can't you people call when I'm not in the middle of hosting?"
The eleven all-stars stood there as Chris muttered some noises of agreement into the phone. He ended the call with a huff and frowned at them.
"What are you waiting for?" he asked them. "Go already!" The contestants all took off at a run and he crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.
\
The scene skipped ahead to the eleven competitors racing toward the hot-air balloons. Owen and Contessa were currently in front, and the optimist told his friend "Hey, we're totally gonna win this time!"
"Sorry, but you're gonna have to work for it!" Topher taunted as he rapidly came up behind them.
XXX
"My real plan is almost ready," Topher told the confessional. "Until then, I need the Heroes to lose one mrore time. Luckily, they all pretty much hate each other thanks to me." He flashed a charming grin to the camera.
XXX
"Hey, back off!" Contessa told Topher as he ran between her and Owen.
Topher winked at the camera, then pretended to stumble. Izzy tripped over the instigator's feet and fell to the ground, and Owen tripped over his fallen teammate and fell on top of her.
"Oops!" Topher said in false worry, smirking as the other Heroes stopped in place and allowed the Villains to get ahead.
XXX
"Did you see that?" Jasmine asked the confessional. "Topher winked at them. That proves she's working with the Villains! I'll get the proof I need and I'll send her out the elimination door!"
XXX
"What's your problem?" Jasmine asked with a scowl, crouching down to help a groaning Owen.
"Nothing," Contessa replied irritably, "but you sure seem to have some."
\
The scene flashed ahead to the Vipers all gathered around in front of their balloons. "Here's the plan," Courtney told ther team. "Geoff, you and Katie pair up. Justin and Topher take another, and I'll team up with Olivia. Got it?"
"All good dude," Geoff agreed to everyone's visible shock.
The prep quickly shook away her shock, then smiled. "Good. Now let's go!"
With a collective nod, the six Villains climbed into their balloons in their assigned pairs.
XXX
"Now that I've fixed Geoff's attitude problem, it's time to work on Olivia," Courtney said confidently. "I'm not sure why she's so... difficult lately, but she needs to shape up if she wants to stay on my team."
XXX
"Here's the plan," Brick told his team as the camera cut to the five of them. "Owen and Contessa pair up, and the rest of us will take the other one."
"No way," Jasmine argued. "I'm not doing this if I can't keep an eye on her," she glared at Contessa.
The girl in question groaned. "Then I'll swap with Izzy, we're too far behind to waste time fighting."
\
The scene moved to show Olivia and Courtney in their balloon, slowly but surely making their way to the finish line.
"Ugh," the actress groaned. "This is taking forever! How big is this stupid country anyway?"
"We just got in the air twenty minutes ago," the prep sighed. "Try to have a little patience."
"Yeah yeah," Olivia waved her off. "Now why'd you want to pair with me specifically?" she asked. "I know you want something, so just cut to the chase."
"Okay," Courtney pursed her lips. "Why are you putting the 'itch' in witch all of a sudden?"
The background music became tenser as the actress frowned. "I've always been like that. Not my fault you didn't notice."
"I did notice," Courtney pressed on. "I also noticed you started getting less like that little by little. Only to go back yesterday. So what happened?"
XXX
"I guess it's safe to tell her," Olivia sighed. "I mean, not like she can judge me for falling for a Hero."
XXX
"I'm lo-" she stopped suddenly. "I like one of the Heroes. And I thought they liked me back. So I kissed them and they didn't take it well."
"How'd she take it?" Courtney asked. Olivia looked up in shock and she explained. "You'd have used male pronouns if it was a guy and as far as I know, no one's non-binary. So it's likely a girl."
Olivia sighed. "She just stared at me and I could tell in her eyes that I ruined everything. She likes someone else."
"She told you?" Courtney asked.
"I saw it with my own eyes," Olivia countered. "Besides, she's one of the perfect universally loved Heroes. What would she want with someone like me?"
"I don't know, I ask that about Brick every time I see him," Courtney told her. "Also, you might remember you're not the first Villain think like that."
"Lily wasn't a Villain," Olivia scoffed. "She was a Hero with self-esteem issues."
Courtney seemed like she wanted to say something else, but she just huffed and rolled her eyes.
\
The background music became tense again as the scene flashed over to Jasmine and Contessa as they angrily stood on opposite sides of the basket and avoided looking at one another. "I can't believe I'm stuck babysitting you," the amazon grumbled. "What did I do to deserve this?"
"So you're just gonna conveniently ignore the fact that you forced yourself to do this?" Contessa asked.
Jasmine turned to glare at her. "I had to!" she yelled. "Someone has to stop you from sabotaging this team."
"I'm sorry," Contessa said in shock. "What?"
"Don't play dumb with me!" the amazon accused.
"Not playing," Contessa said. "Where did you get that idea?"
"Let's see, you went to edit our movie in L.A. and we lost," Jasmine counted off on her fingers, "you were keeping watch with Dawn when our map disappeared, and then there's what you did to Mitch yesterday."
Contessa opened her mouth to protest, then frowned and brought her hand to her chin.
"Nice to see you finally admit it traitor," Jasmine spat. "I'm gonna make sure this is your last challenge on this team."
XXX
"Y'know," Contessa told the confessional. "Now that she points it out, all our losses really do involve me. But I know L.A. and Mexico weren't my fault. It's like someone's purposely making me out to be the bad guy... and I have a pretty good idea who it is."
"Oh, and the reason I'm not telling Jasmine my suspicions is because she clearly won't believe me," she explained.
XXX
"So what's the plan to get past this elimination?" Justin asked Topher as the static took the scene to their balloon.
The instigator shrugged. "Won't need one," he explained. "The Heroes aren't gonna win this."
"What makes you so sure?" the model asked in confusion.
Topher smirked. "When a team can't get along, they don't win. Ever."
\
The scene flashed to the Horses' other balloon, Brick pacing back and forth while Izzy and Owen watched him.
"Okay platoon," he told them. "We need a plan of action to deal with our current lack of morale."
"Vote out Jasmine?" Owen asked. "I mean, even if I wasn't biased, you saw how she reacted to the truce."
"But we need to look at this from her point of view." Brick said. "I know I wouldn't be happy if that happened to Courtney. And I'm sure you two would be the same way."
Owen and Izzy looked at each other with wide eyes, then looked away with blushes.
\
Another flash took the scene back to Katie and Geoff, Latina frowning slightly over the horizon before being startled by a shout.
"Hey!" Geoff called out. "I see the finish line!"
"What?" Katie perked up. "Where?"
"There!" Geoff pointed. Both Katie and the camera foll0wed his finger to show two giant runestones with Chris and Chef in between them in a type of finish line.
"I don't see any other balloons," Katie said. "Ohmygosh! We're in first!"
The camera pulled back as she latched onto Geoff in a fierce hug and he lowered the balloon.
\
The scene moved to the ground, where Chris was lowering a pair of binoculars. "And here they come now!" He smiled and turned his attention to the camera. "There's more drama to come, and some good old-fashioned raiding and pillaging. Right here, on Total! Drama! All-Stars! 2!"
\
(Commercial Break)
\
The episode resumed on a shot of Chris standing next to a finish banner set up on top of the Wall. "Welcome back to Total Drama," he told the camera, "where our contestants are in a race that's a bit more boring than I thought it'd be." He shrugged. "Anyway, Geoff and Katie won the race so let's just skip to the next challenge."
\
The scene flashed to the challenge, the team logos appeared above the all-stars on either side of Chris. In front of them an octagonal arena enclosed in a wooden fence and decorated with circular shields.
"If there's one thing Vikings did best," Chris explained to a deep tune, "it's fight. Naturally that's going to be your next challenge."
The scene cut to Justin and Topher worriedly checking their reflections.
"No need to worry Villains," Chris told them. "For winning the first challenge you get the advantage of shields to go with your weapons. Heroes will have to make do with just a straight battle-axe. And we're using foam-core recreations. They won't break anything, but you'll feel like they did."
"As warriors with a strict and sometimes inexplicable code of honor, these fights will be one-on-one. If you disarm, pin, or knock out your opponent you get a point for your team, and the first team to three points wins. Now-" the host went into a guttural cry that echoed through the air, causing the teens to look at him in confusion.
"That was Viking for 'Let's do this!'." he explained. Chef hummed in disapproval. Chris scowled at him and turned back to the teens. "Owen and Katie, you're up first."
\
The footage flashed ahead to show Owen and Katie facing off against each other from opposite sides of the ring. Just as the host explained, the optimist was holding a large battle-axe and Katie was holding a smaller axe and shield.
A low-pitched horn sounded through the air, and the shot cut to Chef blowing on a large horn made out of some animal horn. "FIGHT!" Chris shouted, and a tense challenge tune began as Katie ran towards her enemy.
XXX
"If it worked last season," Owen shrugged.
XXX
Owen smirked, then sucked in his gut. The camera cut to Katie running toward Owen and belting out a battlecry, then back to Owen as the two met. Owen let go of his breath and the Latina bounced against her opponent's belly.
The camera pulled back as Katie landed on the ground with a grunt. She shook herself out of her daze and rolled away as Owen brought his axe down where she just was. Unfortunately for the optimist, he used a bit too much force and his axe was stuck in the ground.
Katie charged again, and Owen recovered just fast enough to block the blow. The force pushed the villainess back once more with a scowl. This time Owen went on the offensive, charging with his axe raised high above his head. Katie, in a moment of panic, tossed both her shield and axe at the Hero.
The shot cut to Owen as Katie's axe hit his feet, causing him to trip, and the shield hit his head, knocking him out. He hit the ground and rolled a bit, but was clearly unconscious.
"And thanks to some quick thinking from Katie," Chris announced as the camera cut to him. "The Villains get the first point." The Villains on the sidelines cheered, while the Heores sagged in disappointment.
\
The footage skipped ahead to the two combatants rejoining their teammates, Katie smiling brightly and a battered and bruised Owen staggering a bit.
"You totally rocked it out there dudette," Geoff told her with a smile of his own.
"I suppose you're not completely useless," Olivia told the girl who was still blushing from Geoff's comment.
"Now we just need to win two more and we can avoid loser class," Courtney added.
"Whoa," Contessa worried as the shot cut to the Heroes, "are you okay?"
"It's just a little head injury," Owen slurred as Contessa and Izzy tried to keep him steady. "Could worry my parents and phone them not to tell... Santa?" he promptly passed out again on top of the two girls.
"I can't breathe," Contessa wheezed.
"And now it's time for round two!" Chris announced as the camera cut to him. "Get ready to battle... Izzy and Olivia!"
"I have to fight her?!" the actress complained. "This is ridiculous."
"Can we get some help here?" Izzy asked from underneath Owen.
\
The footage skipped ahead to show Izzy and Olivia at opposite ends of the arena holding their respective weapons. Chef sounded the wail of his battlehorn, and the challenge music started up again as the two combatants met in the middle of the arena. Izzy quickly opened with an underhand swing of her axe, and Olivia shrieked and ran away.
"Get back here!" the wildcard shouted as she chased after the villainess. Olivia stopped to catch her breath and Izzy moved to strike her again, but the actress just ran off in a different direction.
This process continued for a while longer, Olivia running away and stopping just long enough for Izzy to try and hit her, and then running off again and both girls noticeably getting more and more tired. The camera cut in close as Olivia weakly dodged another strike that almost hit her, and Izzy took bit more time to recover.
Olivia smirked, and as Izzy panted she hit the wildcard four times in rapid succession with her shield. The effect was immediate; Izzy dropped to the ground and let go of her axe in the process, and Olivia wiped the sweat from her brow
"Whoa!" Chris said in shock as the camera cut to him. "Olivia surprises us all with that display. Another point to the Villains! One more and they win the whole thing!"
XXX
"Please," Olivia scoffed. "I knew I wasn't going to with that fight. I spent years cultivating my look to be perfect in all areas. That doesn't lend itself to strength. If I wanted to win, I'd have to tire her out to where even I could beat her."
XXX
The footage skipped ahead to the two combatants rejoining their teammates, with Olivia smirking haughtily and Izzy rubbing her head.
"Oh," Izzy groaned. "Izzy's head feels like it's filled with cottage cheese."
"But you have to admit," Contessa spoke up. "That was impressive," she noticed the odd looks from her team and hastily added "-ly evil. Ugh Villains. Amiright?" she chuckled awkwardly.
"They're not all bad," Owen said. "She's just the worst of them."
"How about a curtsy?" the girl in question bragged as the camera cut to her.
"I'd say we have this challenge in the bag," Justin told his team.
"Round three everybody!" Chris announced as the camera cut to him. "Next up is Justin and Contessa!"
"You better back those words up," Courtney warned the model.
"If you lose this for us..." Jasmine warned.
"I won't," the hopeless romantic declared.
\
The footage skipped ahead to show Contessa and Justin at opposite ends of the arena holding their weapons. The camera cut from a close up of the hopeless romantic's determined frown to the model's smug grin.
Chef sounded the battlehorn, and the challenge music started up again as Contessa rushed toward her opponent. Justin continued smirking and took off his shirt.
"Are you sure you wanna fight?" he asked suavely as his leitmotif began to play. "There must be something else on your mind."
Contessa stopped in her tracks with a lovestruck look. "Wow..." she said. "They're so beautiful..."
"That's it," he continued in a soft tone, slowly walking toward the frozen girl. "Just stay right there and tell me what you really want."
"I want..." Contessa said nervously. "I want..."
The camera cut to a close-up of Justin's face as his eyes widened and the music suddenly stopped with a record scratch. The shot pulled back to show Contessa had buried the blade of her axe in his crotch.
"I want to know what's the matter with you," she finished. "Honestly, why would I fall for your sweaty torso? I'm gay!" she removed the axe and stuck the hilt into the ground, and Justin fell forward while covering his crotch in pain.
"Ouch," Chris winced when the the shot cut to him. "And Contessa gets the first point for the Heroes," he announced. "A term I'm using loosely after that display."
\
The footage skipped ahead to the two combatants rejoining their teammates, a limping Justin still looking pained and Contessa letting out a breath of relief.
"Congrats Contessa," Brick told her. "We may be able to beat this losing streak."
The shot cut in closer to Contessa, suddenly looking down in shyness. "Merci," she said. "But it was nothing. Really."
"I'll say," Jasmine scoffed. "You just got lucky." She failed to notice the scowls Izzy, Owen, and Contessa were sending her. Brick looked between them and sighed.
XXX
"As much as I don't want to vote off our strongest player, I'm afraid we may not have a choice," Brick told the confessional. "She's just too toxic."
XXX
"Please, I can see through what just happened," Jasmine scoffed. "By winning the challenge, it'll look like I'm crazy when I expose her for the traitor she is. Well I'm not falling for it, and neither is the rest of the team."
XXX
"Round four!" Chris announced as the camera cut to him. "It's axe-er time... Brick and Courtney!"
"I was hoping to get you," Courtney smirked competively.
"You and me both Court," Brick said, returning the smirk.
\
The footage skipped ahead to show Carly and Topher at opposite ends of the ring holding their weapons. The camera cut from a close up each of the unofficial leader's smirks.
"And remember," Chris said as the camera cut to him, "If Courtney wins this then the Villains win their third challenge in a row. No pressure Brick."
Chef blew the battlehorn, and the challenge music started up again as Courtney charged at her opponent. Brick frowned and swung his axe around in a circle by the hilt. He let go of it and it flew toward Courtney, hitting her legs and forcing her to the ground in a painful belly flop.
He capitalized on her prone state, and threw himself on top of her. While Courtney did try to get up, between the bad fall and the force of her boyfriend jumping on top of her, she wasn't able to get up.
"And Brick ties thing up for the Heroes!" Chris announced. "Next point decides the game!"
"Sorry," Brick said as he helped Courtney to her feet. "You're skilled and I didn't have the luxury of playing fair."
"I'll take that as a compliment," Courtney told him.
\
The footage skipped ahead to the two combatants rejoining their teammates, Brick smiling brightly and Courtney glaring at her team.
"Nobody better say a word," she warned.
"Calm down," Topher said. "That wasn't your fault. All we need is for either me or Geoff to... beat... Jasmine... in a fight..." he explained, getting more nervous as he finished his thought.
XXX
"Yeah, we're doomed," Geoff confessed. "She's way too into rage mode to not demolish whoever goes against her."
XXX
"That was awesome!" Owen said, lifting Brick off the ground with a hug that produced a sickening crack.
"Let him up for air Big Guy," Contessa sighed.
"Oh," the optimist said as he dropped the cadet. "Sorry."
"It's fine," Brick wheezed before taking a breath.
"We totally got this in the bag!" Izzy cheered. "Jasmine's totally gonna wipe the floor with those Villains."
"Final Round!" Chris announced as the camera cut to him. "Jasmine and... Topher." He smirked as he called the instigator's name.
"Well that seems personal," Courtney scoffed.
\
The footage skipped ahead to show Jasmine and Topher at opposite ends of the ring holding their weapons. The camera cut from a close up of the amazon's angry expression to the instigator's nervous one.
Chef sounded the battlehorn, and the challenge music started up again as the two combatants met in the middle of the ring. Jasmine swung her axe at Topher, causing him to yelp and jump back a few feet.
XXX
"Now time to see if my little gamble can pay off," he told the confessional
XXX
Topher looked over at the Heroes and made a show of winking at them. Jasmine predictably noticed and growled at him. "You're working with her aren't you?!"
"I have no idea what you're-" he started to say before widening his eyes and dodging a strike that was aimed at his head. "Whoa!"
"You people think you can just use us like we're nothing?!" Jasmine raged. "I'll show you!" With animalistic fury, she made several more attacks at Topher who could just barely dodge them.
"This isn't good," Katie said as the shot cut to the Villains on the sideline. "I don't think anyone could beat her like this."
"Is this how I was acting," Geoff asked. "Yeesh."
The camera cut back to the fight. "I thought you were helping me!" Topher called out to the Heroes.
Jasmine followed his gaze to Contessa and snarled. "I knew it!" she said charging at the hopeless romantic. "You're dead!" Topher smirked and threw all his weight at Jasmine's leg. In her distraction, she fell to the ground with a grunt. Topher quickly recovered and kicked the amazon's axe from her hand.
"Jasmine," he panted. "You've been disarmed!"
"Topher somehow manages to win!" Chris announced as the camera cut to him and the background music turned victorious. "The Villains win! Again," he added with a hint of bitterness.
The five sidelined Villains cheered, with Topher joining in off-screen. The shot panned to the four Heroes as they sagged and sighed in disappointment.
\
The footage flashed ahead to all of the Heroes except for Jasmine assembled at one of the tables in the common room. The camera focused on Contessa, who was sitting next to Owen and across from Brick. "That's it," she said with a scowl. "Jasmine's gone completely psycho."
"I'm afraid you're right," Brick sighed. "It's clear we can't win as long as she's in this state."
"I just wish I knew what caused her to snap like this," Owen said sadly
Contessa pursed her lips but kept quiet.
XXX
"Don't look at me like that," she said. "I'd actually like to win this game and you know as well as I do that once you start warning people about guys like Topher you get sent home."
XXX
The opening chords of the ceremony theme played as the scene moved to the elimination room. The camera passed over the five Heroes sitting wary or stoic in the bleachers, and their team logo floated in above them.
"Well, it's been a long day Heroes," Chris said from behind his podium, Chef next to him in his security guard getup. "Honestly, I feel like half a year's passed. Anyway, let's look at why you're all here."
"Jasmine," he said as the camera cut to the scowling amazon. "You got distracted and stopped your impressive physique from doing its job and lost the tiebreaking point.
"Owen," he said as the shot cut to the optimist. "You lost to someone a fourth of your size."
"And Izzy," he added as the shot cut to the wildcard. "You managed to fall for the easiest trick in the book."
"It goes without saying that if any of you did better, you'd be in first class right now," the host said as the shot cut to him. "Now! It's time to vote!" he declared with an eager grin.
XXX
A five-way split-screen showed all the votes being cast at once – Jasmine and Izzy in a column on the left; Owen and Contessa in a column on the right; and Brick between the four with an uncertain expression. He was the last to cross out her photo of choice.
XXX
"We're down to the final two contestants," Chris said after the static cut away. The camera zoomed in slightly on a shot of the entire losing team, one marshmallow on the host's plate and three more in the hands of Brick, Owen, and a very relieved-looking Izzy. She bumped her prize against Owen's, and the camera panned to the front row to show Contessa and Jasmine glaring at each other.
"Who will get the final marshmallow," the host asked. "Will it be...Contessa, the common factor in all your losses except for today's, or Jasmine, the the factor in today's loss. The last marshmallow goes too...," Chris said, drawing it out as the music's tension rose. Contessa was shown looking nervous, the final treat was shown sitting motionlessly, and Jasmine was shown donning a devious smirk at the hopeless romantic. Chris picked up the final marshmallow right as the music reached its peak.
"...Contessa!"
The girl in question's eyes widened, and she let out a sigh of relief.
"Are you kidding me?!" The Australian Outback Girl roared as she stood up and glared at her team. "It's her fault we lost! Not mine!" she yelled while pointing at Contessa
"You abandoned the challenge to attack your own teammate," Brick pointed out. "There's no overlooking that. And you anger could easily be turned against us."
"I wouldn't be angry if it wasn't for her!" the amazon shouted. "She's been throwing challenges since she got here. I know it!"
"Can you prove it?" Owen asked.
"Of course you'd ask that," Jasmine spat at him. "Considering how you're all over her. Like anything's gonna come out of that."
"Jasmine," Contessa said solemnly. "You were lied to. Remember what happened with Scott last time?" she asked as the amazon sent her a hateful glare. "He tricked you and used you. I've said this before and I'll say it again. I'm sorry for what happened with Mitch and I'll never forgive myself for it."
"That makes two of us," Jasmine spat before walking over to Chef. "Get me out of here."
The camera cut outside as the amazon was tossed out of the plane. She landed on her butt, and caught a small grey rock in her hands.
"Here's some Nordic runes with mysterious properties," the host told her. "It might help with that pent-up rage you're dealing with over there. Good luck!"
XXX
"So Jasmine, was the Heroes' strongest player," Topher bragged. "And now she's gone." He sighed. "This is so easy it's almost not even fun." He chuckled. "Almost."
XXX
"And thanks to Topher, we're down our strongest player." Contessa complained. "I've gotta find a way to get rid of him. Preferably without him realizing I'm onto him."
XXX
"Will the Heroes ever win again?" the host asked, the usual ending music starting up as the shot cut back to him, the remaining four members of the team in question giving the host a glare that he shrugged off effortlessly. "Find out next time, on Total!" the shot cut outside to the image of Chris on the plane's tail fin. "Drama!" the shot pulled back just enough to show the edge of the wings. "All-Stars! 2!" The final shot showed the plane flying off to the right, and nothing more.

(Bonus Clip)
"Hmph some Heroes," Jasmine complained at the camera as she walked through what looked like a field of geysers. "Voting me off and keeping on an obvious traitor."
"I mean, they had to have seen Topher winking at... her." She stopped in her tracks. "And he's the one who told me about her in the first place. Dawn's warning, Contessa's..." she growled. "I can't believe I let myself get suckered by that-" she was interrupted by a rumbling sound, and looked down to see that she was standing on top of a geyser. She sighed. "Brilliant."
The geyser erupted, ending the clip in static with her panicked shouts audible.
Author's Note Post Script: And while it looked like a long-term conflict was arising, Jasmine was just a product of the Whorf Effect. But you have to admit, Topher kinda rocked this one. He purposefully stoked Jasmine's anger into pure illogical rage, then used that rage to make her lose the challenge. By the way, even if Geoff had to fight her, he'd still make sure it looked like Contessa was working with him.
Then there's Gaties' reconcilement. It might seem sudden, but it'd be kinda hypocritical for her to hold Geoff's behavior against him considering it the exact thing she did in season six.
And Contessa's now aware of Topher's villainy. And unlike every other person on this show, she's keeping it to herself and trying to work against him in the shadows. Will it work? who knows. I certainly don't Writers don't have as much control over their characters as you might think.
And as always I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention something.
I hope you all enjoyed the episode, or some part of it.
Please stay safe and healthy during these difficult times.
And I'd also like to remind you guys that a TVTropes page for this series does exist and needs you guys adding to it.
With that I'm signing off
